    I've got 4 of them and use them in Freshwater only. Dropshot, shad raps, etc. Not sure I would use it in saltwater. That's where the BG line comes into play for me. Damn nice reel for the money and at least for now, a good smooth drag.

    Stripped the gears out of my Fuego Lt within a week. That left a bad taste in my mouth for the more budget LT reels. Love my Tatula LT’s tho. Just too much flex in those cheaper models for me.

    this guy got me exited about this reel (and i still am) but lost me with his inaccuracies. digigear, most digigears are cast zinc gears, not machine "cut" as he said, certainly not on any reel under the tatula lt. also, complaining about felt drag washers? really? carbon fiber washers are more recent than braided fishing line more fishing records have been broken on felt drag washers than with carbon , even shimano used felt drag washers with models as recent and as great as the stradic fk that is (was) a 200 bucks reel. this a 70 dollar reel. also.. the 6k size for lt reels is the same as a 4k regular size daiwa (like the regular bg) so its not a small reel, its the same size as any 6k size modern shimano. maybe even the size of a 5k size penn.
    i think they are downplaying this reel not to mess with the sales of the more expensive daiwa fuegos IMHO

    How would you compare the stiffness/rigidity of the frame with this new Zaion V vs. the older plain carbon frame LT models? I assume it isn't as stiff as the regular Zaion used in the Tatula, but is the Zaion V in the newer Legalis significantly stiffer than the regular carbon frame LT reels?

    Also, Ozark Trail make really smooth reels that are more reliable than Shimano and Diawa. Yes you heard right. Walmart brand makes more reliable reels and they are really smooth. Not as smooth as Diawa and Shimano but they will last you the long run. I have caught about ten salmon on the 3000 size OTX spinning reel and it held up just fine.

      It does not. The lowest MSRP Spinning Reel by Daiwa that has MagSeal Technology is the Fuego LT. But those have been incredibly hard to come by with Inventory Shortages everywhere. While MagSeal is a nice feature to have, it's definitely not necessary for Inshore Saltwater Anglers.

    How does it compare to a standard Bg?

    • @gabrielduarte3904
      @gabrielduarte3904 2 роки тому

      lighter, more drag (if that is important) and even when this is not full metal, like the BG, some components are beefyer like the main shaft. its thicker in the lt models of the same size. the only thing i like better in the regula bg is that it offers more sizes and that it has a screw in handle. putting that aside, the legalis lt IMO is a better reel. (and for less money too)

    • @johnnyreb9398
      @johnnyreb9398 2 роки тому +3

      A penn pursuit has what you want so would you consider that a superior reel to the legalis because of a handle . To a degree I understand when people say that a handle going directly to the main gear is better but as far as the other getting sloppy that all depends on the material used and tolerances. By this way of thinking the legalis is just as good as a $15 zebco spinning reel from Walmart because the handles are made the same .

    I personally like Diawa and Shimano but they are very over rated. Are they smooth? Hell yeah but they break sooooo easily. I have had a Revos and Regal break on me within a year. While my Quantum Throttle II is just as smooth, has a full aluminum body, 11BB and laser cut aluminum gears all for the same price as the Revos. Please everyone don’t not buy Shimano or Diawa. Buy Quantum. They are better for less money. If you want a great $30 reel Quantum has the Strategy. It’s a 6BB aluminum handle, rubber grip nice / thick bail wire and it’s sooo smooth for the price.
