My 2nd favorite reel next to the Daiwa Fuego LT. Have my Exceler LT linked up on a Favorite (White Bird 7'3 Medium Heavy) Rod. Love how light weight they are together... I can literally catch bass all day.

This Daiwa Exceler would be the perfect reel for the 7ft Daiwa AirdX rod I purchased 2 weeks ago. My buddy and I are fishing the St Lawrence River for smallmouth in June. That would be a perfect outfit to land my new PB small!

The daiwa reel is just perfect for freshwater encounter. Love to win it for my own use.
It looks like a nice real. Agreed the higher gear ratio would assist on landing fish but would also help keep fatigue down after a long grind of reeling those whiffs in. My son and I would love the reel and that drag setup has my interest peaked. Good review boss.

Daiwa is my favorite brand. I like Shimano also but Daiwa is a better bang for the buck. I'd use it for fishing in my farm pond for bass and crappie fishing at the lake. I'm in Texas so I use baitcasters on the lake because we have giants in our lakes and lots of heavy cover.

haven't used the exceler on the water yet, but feels like a really nice reel.
Well I see you have over 1k subscribers now ... so I guess it has been given away by now ... LOL. I always like Daiwa Reels. I gave a few to a friend that helped me in bad times. Anyway times are a better (financially) and getting back into fishing. I just bought this, and the 6.2 ratio was the first thing notice looking at it in the store. This is a good Reel ... just a quick tip ... don't have the Bass Pro shop put the line on do it yourself. Always did it myself and the first time I paid someone else and they messed it up. The line as soon as tension was release would spring off the reel. Man I hate re-doing something I paid someone else to do!!!
Anyway ... since I already have one of these to fish with and if it was still possible to win this I would use it one time to fly a kite and then give it to my Son. Thumbs up on the video...
You just can't have enough fishing equipment. I would love to have it.
Cast zinc gears on the Exceler (and Fuego), not aluminum. You need to get up to the Tatula to get aluminum gears.
Casting for bass is ideal if I win this reel.
Got a 2500 size and 3000 the 3000 is 5.3 gear ratio but still as good as 2500 dawai toned done the size
I use both of these for bass muskie and pike
I have the Revros and Legalis. With the addition of the Exceler, I'd be able to give an old reel away and not get yelled at by my wife for buying another reel... which happens more than I'd like to admit. It's a win-win!

back-reeling is the best.

The gear ratio has nothing to do with the speed at which you retrieve the fish, it's to do with the types of lures the reels are designed to fish
Slapturkey a higher gear ratio will bring in more line per revolution of handle.
