If you have a Home Depot near you try the Husky pro brick trowels. They come in London pattern and happen to be my trowel of choice. Was using a W.ROSE leather handle then Marshalltown 11 inch London and just recently went back to the Husky pro London brick trowel in 11 1/2 x 5”. Perfect grip, great balance, perfect flex and forging

No gloves,in your kit, I would be lost without any, using Black Rock GripMax Gloves myself from Toolstation, found they are lasting very well.

Again, great video. It would be cool if you could show us how each tool may be used. Yeah we all know how to use a brush but even then, when should it be used in the bricklaying process and how? 👍

Great thing about bricklaying tool kit can be puChased from any regular car boot for under £20 hence why we leave it under a spot board overnight 😂😂

What size are your cold chisel and finger trowels?
Footprint finger trowel and Marshalltown cold chisel both come in various sizes.

Nice set! I’ve noticed that outside of the U.S. Many brick masons like using aluminum box levels and they’re good levels. Most Masonary companies in the U.S won’t let you work with a aluminum box level. It has to be a wooden level preferably Crick or smith. It’s cool every mason around the world have they’re own way to work and get it done. Howdy from Texas

You should be able to set out with a normal tape it's not rocket science just need to know your 9x table and every bricklayer should know the dimensions of a brick and block 🤣them tapes are a waste of money in my opinion

Footprint is the way forward for any type of cold chisels and line pins of course. The bolster 41/2 with extra spine on blade are the best. Had 1 for 16 year just the neck on its only 60mm left on it so got a new 1 lol. Do like the braided W Rose brick line never snaps real good stuff. Stabila have that 4ft 1 stu don’t why any would use any thing else otter stabila. Also have the steel H beam type but only can get it 1000. Always wondered why the didn’t do them in 1200 length because they last for ever mines 17 year old still unbreakable 😬

I know you said you don't care about what other brickies think about the Fisco gauge tapes and I mean no disrespect but due to the sheer amount of youngsters coming up through the trade who we all know watch this channel I feel compelled to weigh in with my own two cents worth. Firstly, hands up, I've got one in my tool bag which I use for working out cuts on long flanks of blockwork. They can save time in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing but a trend I'm not alone in noticing is a lot of young'uns become too reliant on them for gauging up the profiles to the extent that if you give them a conventional tape to use they're completely lost. Don't mean to be the negative Nigel but I keep seeing site foreman breathing down the necks of young lads who predominantly use a Fisco and when you're nervous you're more likely to make mistakes. Other than that, stay safe and thanks for keeping the pros sane during lockdown.

Know what your saying Lawrence if you watch my teaching videos I always say don’t be lazy when every using fisco tape always look at other side of tape to register the size in your brain. Cheers

You can strike 20,000 times, it only takes 1 bad day or mis concentration and it is a sore hand for the week.
