Which one of these baits do you believe will catch the most fish? Which had the best action?

They all look like they have value. The colors on the Roboworm and Strike King Ocho really popped, so they might need to be added to my arsenal across several baits. Whelp . . . looks like I've already spent my anticipated Christmas gift cards in my head.

Haha yeah I’m with you, already spent my Christmas money before I even got them, I know what to load up on. But I agree, I believe these all have some value and will have their time and place. I was really impressed with the Robo, the SK Ocho, and the Yum, can’t wait till next year to find some fish with them

I’ve always used the Zman stuff for my ned rigs. I bought the ned bomb for this year but haven’t used it yet. If I were gonna fish one bait it would be the TRD. I’ve caught five bass that went over 19” and countless others on the same single bait. You can’t kill that elaztech!

Love the Yum Ned dinger. It’s cheap, durable, and the tail is hollow. So you can put a rattle or scent inside of the tail or just leave in empty and it floats better because it holds air. Absolutely awesome!

I like the zman stuff. The way it stand up, floating appendages and they are non toxic. Imo they are the Ned masters. Some of the strike king baits are collaborated with zman. They use elaztech so they float. Floating shakey head worms kill it also when you don't need a tiny Ned presentation.

The original Finesse TRD was my most productive Ned Bait “UNTIL” I started to use the Hollow Tip Worm or “HTW” by Samatis Baits!! This week alone here in NC it’s accounted for several 5+ lb bass, a 6-4, and a 7-6! I’m not affiliated with the company, just passing along a great bait for others to try!

I have had a bunch of success on the robo and the misslebaits neds this past year . The robo neds come in some great colors too . I do fish the Z Man too they are just a pain to thread on but they do stand up the best as well most durable.

Good video Terry. I’m not by any means a tourney fisherman, as a matter of fact...I am just getting my game straight when it comes to who, when, how , where and why. But I have made an obvious observation in lure selection. 6th sense hands down has some of the best baits around. Along with Yum plastics and of course the ultimate in finesse fishing....our boys at Z-man. Elaztech is a genius product that will definitely put some fish in the boat. The only thing that I have seen from Googan Squad that I will probably purchase is their “click bait”. That really seems to have some backbone to it and possibly a good bait to have confidence in as it looks like a well made and effective product for angling. Sorry to ramble, just wanted to tip my hat to you on a well made and Informative video. You covered a lot of ground in this one. Thanks!

Would like to have viewed the baits with much longer stationary pauses to see if they actually stood up. And also with each bait on a different surface, thought the sand actually helped some of the baits stay upright. Great video. Very nice close up shots of each bait. Which bait offers the most or best color selections in your opinion?

Very nice demo and camera work! I live here on Table Rock where Ned is King. Very seldom are they fished on bottom here with the clear water. Used most often as a glide bait with no heavier than 1/8th oz head because you are presenting to suspended fish that are working small thread fin shad schools. A No tail action bait more closely resembles their prey. Ive used them all and in clear water, Cant beat an old 3 or 4 inch Senko on 1/16 or 1/8th oz mushroom head for this gliding, slow fall presentation IMHO. Keep up the great channel! I'm a new subscriber.

I have been looking at the ZMan craws to be used as a finesse jig trailer. I am glad that you filmed underwater action of these different types of baits. I strongly believe that a worm that has floating properties will do a bit better than those without. Then again, the Senko will blow that theory out of the water. Great video.

I just subscribed giving your channel a chance. I stumbled this whole Favorite rod thing and after watching some horrible videos of guys that might be excellent fishermen, should not ever be commenters or spokesmen. Your video on the topic was the best and most articulate. So here I am watching this video about Ned baits. If you’ve never watched the channel Tactical Bassin. I highly recommend you do. It goes back 9 years, but you’ll not find a more educational fishing channel covering nearly everything about bass fishing in every season and weather condition all over the country. Especially love their underwater bass fishing videos to show how bass react to different baits and they explain all aspects of bass behavior for each time of year. And the ONLY Googan bait I’ve ever caught a bass on was the Rattlin Ned in the Smelt color. It weighed 4.87lbs. And my water is always algae stained where no one but myself fishes where I live. If you’re ever in Central Florida, contact me here as I don’t bother with any other social media. And since I’ve bought and tried at least one of every Googan bait from the beginning to current releases of hard baits. Their baits are typically scaled down but the same weight as most other baits. Even though I’ve had no luck with anything other than the Ned, I’ve noticed that all their baits are designed to be fished aggressively. The zoned for example worked for me as a mix between hopping and dragging. So what you say is true about the tail, That is how I found it worked for me. The rattle is so quiet, it might have also helped in this water as all the fish here spook easily because if all the predatory birds dive bombing them like the Osprey, or literally swimming underwater like the Anhinga does. Lastly, all the Herons and Storks that stand along the bank and pick off the bait fish. No other brackish body of water like this anywhere and it’s an extreme challenge most other bass anglers never have to deal with in pure freshwater.

Why would you use this over a similarly sized curly grub?

    • @AsianRedneck239
      @AsianRedneck239 4 роки тому

It’s all in the hook. The weight on the jig is designed to fall straight down and keep the bait straight up giving it the illusion of a creature feeding on the bottom. A Ned rug weight normally has a flat front and the desired baits are ones that would normally float in order to keep it off the bottom.

  • @Amagicbullet

I use both zman and yum. The Yums easier to deal with and have a larger diameter but tear easy. The zman are super long lasting. Especially if you super glue it in. And give the zman good stretching and work the salt out and watch the action then.

Please do a video on low budget rigging including weedless. I don’t tournament fish anymore so I’ll let my tip out. Lol. Ned rig and ribbon tail worm or swimming worm with lots of action, that is cut to size and let that ribbon tail catch you everything. And you don’t have to go buy special bait that only has one use

The TRD BugZ and the Roboworm Ned Worm are looking like the right choice for me. Just got into checking out ned rig videos and this is by far the best video! This is what I like to see when looking up new techniques. Good work buddy!

I like the pink worm the most. Awesome action with the tail. And for some reason when I use the googan ned rig it usually stands up like most the others did for you. I also have the craw which I have yet to use but has one of the top 3 best actions out the lot. Good video and look forward to more.

The googan has absolutely zero action! And I have fished with them to no avail, I’m definitely digging on the roboworm action shape and colors will have to give it a try

Really odd. I caught 2 PBs on the googan rattlin ned. Might be your location or technique.

I have picked up almost all the baits you showed us here before even seeing this video lol
I'm not big on the missle baits but the cut-r worm is awesome for swimming!

Unfortunately most anglers like myself fish lakes and ponds where there isn't any current. I would love to see another video without the current. The movement of the lures only applies to fishing in currents.
