    I wanna give my advice.
When I first started riding I was dead set that I wanted to buy a brand new Honda rebel. I was ready to go to the dealership, and was dead set on getting a cruiser. Then I found a super cheap 2015 Yamaha bolt on Craigslist. So I bought it, fixed a few things on it and rode it for about 3,000 miles in 3 months. After a while I realized I hated cruisers. Too heavy, loud, slow and annoying.
I sold it for profit and bought a 2014 ninja 650. Put about 4,000 miles in 4 months. I liked it, but hated it at the same time. I wanted to go faster, and wanted something physically larger.
So I sold it and now I have a CBR600RR.
TL;DR DONT BUY NEW. BUY SOMETHING USED BECAUSE YOU MIGHT END UP NOT LIKING WHAT YOU THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE.

One of the big deciding factors for me was the weight itself and being able to support it...? Maybe its different with guys, but as a beginner FEMALE rider I struggled so much just supporting a bike!
At the start I found it really difficult just walking the bike somewhere or even straddling it, it made me really insecure in my ability to support it! Once you are a more experienced rider, you don't think about it anymore and it's a lot easier, but there are some things that are just really difficult for me to do with a heavy bike! (like picking it up, backing it up or walking it forward) Also, I'm short so that doesn't help. This fact alone rules out a bunch of bikes in my books for me as a beginner bike, so I went for a Honda CBR300r, though I can see myself upgrading in the future :)It's perfect for my smaller size, and an absolutely amazing beginners bike and great even in city driving
I don't consider myself weak at all, but I guess I was forced to face facts when I need to ask my boyfriend to back my bike into the garage for me because he has a much easier time with it
Just something to keep in mind if you are bike shopping :)
TL;DR Don't buy something huge because it's cooler, buy something you can comfortably sit on and support!

Nice overview. When making test rides and comparisons, I would make note of a couple parameters in order to see if you need to base your decision on one of them. Two human parameters really determine how comfortable your bike will be: in-seam length and height relative to bike dimensions that were highlighted in the video. As to the bike, the nervousness or relaxedness of steering: rake and trail.

I own a Yammie XT660R, and love it. Use it for daily commute, as well as longer trips. Just had the seat re-designed with a 2 tier level type seat. My next bike is going to be the Yammie S10. My dream bike is a Honda Goldwing, but way above my affordability :-). Had a Honda VFR400R which was an ex-racing bike made street legal. Was fast, and the sound of that V4 motor, but uncomfortable as hell. So, I prefer comfort over speed. Great videos.

I bought my perfect bike in 2017 and I still have it (Yamaha FZ 07 2017). I had a Honda CBR125r, a Kawasaki Ninja 250r and CBR1000rr before. The FZ 07 is the perfect mix between power/torque and confort. I would say 70% of the time I ride in cities so I needed something that was not too fast because I would not be able to use it at its full potential. Well, like Yammie noob said, torque really is everything!!

Ive got a lot of bikes, but ive realised that if you love the bike, the comfort and shit weighing it up etc all goes out the window when you love it, like ive had way more fun being slightly uncomfortable on a machine I adore then the latter. Uncomfortable didn’t mean shit when I had an RGV 250 two stroke and power banded past 600s on a god damn tooth pic in the hills so commuting didn’t matter because RGV 250 2 stroke!!! Swapped it for a cruiser and I NEVER forgave myself. As you were Yam i love the vide.

As a busy college student who plans on studying med, I don’t really see myself getting into the moto lifestyle too much. If anything, I’d rather just get one bike that I can grow with over the years and still have tons of fun riding. Factors are comfort, looks, and not too much speed (like a Hayabusa) but enough to get a good laugh outta me every once in a while. I’m considering the Kawasaki Vulcan 650 and the MT 07 as many recommend them for beginners who aren’t looking to buy a 2nd bike. Suggestions?
