Did u get a check engine light? I did with mine but she runs like a champ! I just wanna try to get it fixed so I can use my remote start again:(
@@hunterwinters587 no I haven’t! This video is older and I’ve had it on for about 7 months now and there is no light and no issues at all. Sounds great, great power, and great throttle response. I didn’t know that you couldn’t use the remote start if it had a check engine light tho? Something else might be going on electronically. I would also check and make sure all the hose clamps are tight because there might be a vacuum leak somewhere possibly
@@Guido19 I appreciate you responding I really wanna get it fixed I replaced the mass air flow sensor when putting the air intake in. I'll check all my hose clamps when I go out there. It's Weird if I clear the engine code it goes away till I start the car up again the code comes back upon startup.
@@hunterwinters587 hmm that’s so weird. I have not heard of that problem or that code. You might have to put the stock on back on and just see if it will go away. Or see if you unplug the battery for a hour and plug it back in see if it’s still on. Unplugging the battery should reset the mass air flow sensor and the throttle body.

U wonder if this is why my Impala idles at around 5rpm when stopped at red lights? When it's just running in my driveway. When started cold. Idles around 1000rpm then goes down to around 6000-8000rpm's.

The OEM assembly on your Impala looks exactly like mine.
But mine is being held together by a thick strap. Because the top rubber clips are gone and the clip housing is broken off.
Can I ask. Does this increase power to your engine?

hmmm that would be a gamble. you could probably get it to fit up or go with a universal set up and that would work but it might be kinda off or out of line I'm not sure. Also yes it does, horse power on cold air intakes is anywhere from 5-10 hp depending how restrictive they are. You also get alot of sound from them too. The throttle response is way better too!

Not to be a critic but I think u installed the heat shield on the wrong side, I havnt finished the vid yet but i might be wrong but imo if the heat shield is on the I safe how’s it gonna block heat
No with this particular cai the heat insulation goes on the inside but other ones go on the outside.
Think any of the 3.9 or 3.6 intakes would work on a 3.5? If no what makes it incompatible?
I don’t think it would. The intakes of those are shorter and at more of a straight angle. On the 3.6l I believe they are longer and at more of a angle and that maters because the position where it mounts on the radiator wouldn’t line up same with the mounts on the computer under the intake. You could make one work but would need to be a universal type of thing that is shorter.
Cold air inductions made for the 3.9 n 5.3 fits the 3.5 perfectly

With this air intake no, but if you go over kill and possibly change out your mass air flow sensor and you get a intake that has a bigger air space on the inside you could possibly get a check engine light.

I don’t see why not! This motor is the same as the one in the Camaro and the Camaro has a super charger and turbo kit you can get for it! This motor is the same but there is some differences between this one and the Camaros but I’m sure you could get it to work! The motor could handle it the limitations I would say would be the transmission giving out cause of the added power and also the space in the engine bay for something like that cause there isn’t much room!

No it won’t! It’s a different design and on a different side. If you still have the 9th generation style which they made in 2015 too it will work. If you have the 10th gen it won’t fit

The process of installing the cold air intake should be the same but you would need the 3.5 cold air intake as this won’t work.

It’s awesome! This video is pretty old cause I installed it about 6 months ago. It’s built really well and sounds great! I have a muffler delete on my car aswell and it sounds killer!
@@Guido19 if you delete the resonator as well it sounds even better i took off both on my ‘13 impala
@@calebmedina4689 yeah I just have the muffler delete. I’ve heard the resonator delete too and in my opinion it doesn’t sound that great and it’s to loud and Tim can sounding and drones bad cause there’s no resonator
