I like TikTok but the amount of “no one will like this cuz I’m soooo ugly and I look like shrek uwu” gets so annoying. They need to realise that 15 mins of internet clout won’t solve their internal issues. Stay safe yall x
Not true, there are tons of beautiful women who get slut shamed and comments full of “wE aReNt ObJeCts” and “your dad must be so proud” just because people are mad their own videos don’t get as many views. It’s ridiculous

Lyric Theory it’s on all platforms. as someone with an eating disorder/ disordered eating and thoughts, i don’t like the community or the tik toks. i don’t like how normalised these behaviours are, and how it’s becoming too common. the community is implicitly toxic in some cases. it’s seen as a platform to “help you recover and delete your ed account as quickly as possible” but so many people stay because of competition? idk if that’s the right word. it’s like you HAVE to stay to prove that your ED is valid. i’ve seen so many people leave for long periods of time, yet come back because they feel like they failed their “followers” and they feel as if they’re not valid anymore for not sticking to the stereotypical anorexia or bulimia. the community is not what it seems or what it wants to be seen as. i regret joining the community in the first place, but it’s hard to get out.
@@plantmorgue im so sorry you're going through that. I completely agree. I do believe you can get out of it though! the fact that these issues are becoming so common and romanticized is awful.
This app is too addicting. Like too addicting in an unhealthy way. Most apps you can get off, but it's scary how their algorithm is too curated. Tik-Tok gives me bad vibes in general. I study social media in uni, but Tik-Tok is an app I can't get on. I used it for a while since I saw some on Twitter. I thought it was fine and cool...a better Vine, but I had to get off it. It's funny and seems like a land grab for social media following. The drama, racism, sexism, and the romanticization of mental health is too much.
@@wifine1951 you have to use it for more than 2 minutes for your fyp to be customized... tiktok is TOO addictive once the algorithm knows what you like.

tiktok ruined my mental health, self esteem, body image, mentality, ... . I've spend so many hours crying because I'll never be able to look like those girls, never be able to be the beauty standard. I look in the mirror everyday and tear down my self from the top to the bottom. The only thing I like about myself is my eyes. Nothing else. Literally NOTHING whatsoever! I've been wanting to delete it the past 5 months but i never got the courage to bc i'd ''miss out'' things. Today i finally deleted it. I already feel a sense of relief and I can't wait for the next few months. I hope I'll find myself again and feel confident in my own body

@@minimalistvlogger3467 or, hear me out, people's self esteems can fluctuate and one video about someone doesn't give you an insight on their insecurities
The scariest part is that after a while I stopped seeing this behavior as weird? This video just reminded me that seeing 16 year old girls dancing nearly naked in hot tubs and reading comments of CHILDREN vowing to never eat again isn’t normal... at all. That app literally BRAINSWASHES you.
Sylvester I’ve seen children on Instagram make compilations of “aesthetic tiktoks” when it was so obvious that the entire “aesthetic” was just being deathly thin. I started calling them out in the comments and they were like “ur a bully because some people are naturally skinny and perfect 😘🤪 jealousy is a disease get well soon bitch” and it’s like........ excuse me miss you are TWELVE
As a 14 year old teenager, I wholeheartedly agree with this video. It's completely unfair when conventionally attractive people on tiktok stare at the camera for like 10 seconds and they get millions of views and a huge following. Meanwhile there are people who work hard for their content but don't get enough recognition.
yeah and when you go mention the fact that they get clout for just being pretty, someone replies that youre jealous, like no cuz it just proves how toxic the app is and how pretty privilege is so common like if an unattractive girl did it instead they would get bashed or back-handed compliments
I am 12, am I am greatful that I did not get corrupted by TikTok. I only had it for like a month and I never liked anything about it, I am glad I deleted it before I started to like it.
Welcome to every platform lol as an artist it's frustrating 🤣 people can do nothing and be famous. Nothing one can do about it. Obviously that is what people like or they wouldn't have such a large following.
Ariana Nazario exactly! and now because we have way moREEE technology. in 2014, "dark" humour was way more prominent and way more common than in 2020, so these kids have no excuse other than white privilege 💅
also as far as the "guess i'm not eating today" comments, those are damaging to EVERYONE. the person who writes it, the person whose video the comment is on, and anyone at risk of EDs who reads it. it is NOT a compliment
it's SOOOOOO incredibly damaging literally comments like that triggered my relapse, i'd been pretty much recovered for a year and now i'm in such a horrible place
I absolutely hate it when the "attractive" teens, literally look at the camera for 10 seconds, not even frickin lip syncing, looking to the side,up and down and still they get millions of followers and views, and there are many people who work hard and are not noticed at all. Also misogyny, sexual and rascist content is at a high there. Im a teen too btw.and the pov's guys......the pov's
someone finally said it! i'm a teen and most of my friends are obsessed with these eboys or these hot guys that stare at the camera for 10 seconds and it's so frustrating, like, THEYRE LITERALLY DOING NOTHING
Tiktok is basically high school. It's cliquey, it's nasty, it's too competitive, and it's too accessible for young people who really shouldn't be on it all the time at such an influential time in their life
@@arcane1282 I mean... I also shouldn't be in the business of telling anyone what to do. They should learn on their own, but I do believe there is a time and place for everything, and young people, online, with the world as their audience is not the best classroom... it can be a lot mentally and emotionally
I can't believe I seem to know more than double about both general and specific subjects than so many high schoolers in my school and I'm only just entering high school. They make it look like 70%+ of them are gonna drop out before they graduate.
Please do a video about "simp" culture! Sometimes I come across a beautiful girl just doing her thing on Tik Tok and there will be a guy commenting like "wow you're really pretty!" and everyone responds "SIMP" as if being nice to a woman is simping? And then if her followers find out she has a boyfriend they'll lambast her in the comments and call her ugly or a ho. It's BEYOND gross.
@@sav3728 Exactly. I feel like it started out as a word to refer to guys who are only nice to girls because they want s*x, and it's turned into "Why are you being so beta and complimenting her? She's mediocre anyways". It's like degrading to men and women at the same time.
right?? or a guy will make a tiktok addressing sexism and all the comments are calling him a simp or fake as though guys can't be that way. Nobody wins.
the sheer AMOUNT of comments about “guess i’m not eating dinner tonight” or “imagine looking like that” or the backhanded compliments made towards plus-sized people like “love your confidence” is painful and literally makes tik tok unbearable
It makes me really mad too. Girls always say they need an hour glass or “perfect summer body” to be beautiful. It’s just so toxic and I’m over it. I wish people had more confidence in their body😕
Victoria Manning omg yeah!!! It makes my self esteem plummet and it spirals me into some messed up thought patterns, I have to stop reading the comments on that app
As a black girl, it hurts and it’s frustrating when I see racist tiktoks. I don’t go to tiktok to be attacked through a screen, I go there to laugh and enjoy. And then people say “it’s not a big deal” and “get over it.” It’s exhausting.
It sucks. When I had tik tok i Only follow black creators and my close friends. But some of them where colorist. I had to delete the app. Waste of time and space. I hear dubsmash is better. A lot of tik toks were stolen from dubsmash and black creators
I once saw one on my friends status about the water trend where they put in how much water correlates to you and black people. They said things like stealing and making bad decisions and why?
ive noticed around my peers that using the words "sped" and "retard" are on the high rise no matter how many times we tell them to stop, they just don't budge :I
Its true and its sad honestly. I haven't downloaded the app and never will because I've seen how my friends are addicted to it and it grosses me out that everyone follows everything they see in the app. Maybe it also has to deal with the fact that I don't really like how teenagers act and the recent music. Btw this comes from a teenager herself

It’s disturbing to see teens talking about being a top/bottom/switch and having kinks, basically talking about sexual things in general. It’s really disturbing, it exposes them to being so provocative and sexually active at an early age and how predators are lurking on that place to exploit minors. They really think it’s cool, not knowing it will destroy their perception of relationships in the future. Idk. It’s just really disturbing
@KØI_Flow some lgbtq+ people there think they're whole personality is just their sexuality. Like bruh I thought we're trying to normalize liking anyone other than the opposite sex yet you're here acting like it's unlikely and unique 💀

I’m 20 and TikTok can be very overwhelming sometimes. Am I surprised by the racism? No. Am I surprised by mental illness being glorified? No. But what I am surprised that TikTok keeps these types of videos of up or allowing these users to continue posting but will delete videos talking about any social or political problems going on in the world. Hell they even suspended black users who uplift other black users but allow racist people to continue to post.

I find it weird how when someone skips over a slur when they're lip-syncing a song all the comments are like "omg king, thank you for not saying it" and just generally praising them as if this shouldn't be expected
I don't understand why you are angry. Like, they are just saying thank you. And honestly all the tik toks I have seen are pretty funny, there are weird, but if you don't like that content there is a program in the app that instantly shows good and non toxic humor, not everything is bad in this app.
Iñaki Pagola that’s like saying, “oh you saw that girl and you DIDN’T rape her? OMG CONGRATS!” or “you’re telling me you saw that diamond and DIDN’T steal it? there’s that one trend that’s like “ay yo trauma check!” where teens are posting about things like domestic abuse and sexual assault, and since there’s no way to mute or block these posts i can’t even imagine how many people trying to recover see these videos and get extremely triggered :( Edit: fyi I’m not the the one being triggered by these videos, but as someone who used to cope in a similar way on public social media platforms it’s seriously damaging in the long term and im just as worried about the kids posting these videos !

Yep, but i think tiktok started to be toxic when more people dowloaded it and it stared to have tiktok "celebrities" before all of that ,tiktok was just vsco girls doing videos, people doing funny, aesthetic videos or "relatable" videos and jeyjey and benji were like the only famouse people there because their videos were fun.

Insta and tiktok are both largely built on lies especially when it comes to appearance and lifestyle. Please don't feel bad yourself because most of it's just bs.
My biggest issue with TikTok, as a black teenager, is that fact that non black people or black people occasionally, glorify white people for NOT being racist. Saying that a white person is invited to the “cookout” because they aren’t racist, is ridiculous. It’s lowering our value as black people, making it seem like we will accept anyone just because they aren’t racist. You should not be glorified for not being racist. Thank you for all the likes😁. Nice to see many people have common sense.
Imagine praising people for a basic requirement? “Yay, I’m not racist!” That ain’t an accomplishment, it’s not that hard to not be racist. It’s just adding onto a stereotype that white people are inherently racist by nature.
TikTok doesn't allow teens (not all of them) to create their own personalities. I was mad when my parents took it away, but now I'm so grateful. Teens feed into those trends, they want to fit in. Sure videos can be funny, but then there are the people that constantly change "the beauty standard" of today's society. It's like Brandy Melville, when you have those features it makes you feel beautiful or handsome or anything if you understand what I'm saying. Once I deleted TikTok I found my true style, my taste of music, and who I am academically and socially.
And then when you wanna stand out and be yourself if it’s different from the trends they call you a “ pick me” girl and say “ oh you’re nOt Like oTher GirLs”. They make everything about gender sis
I think this app has REALLY highlighted that racism hasn’t died in the way we thought or hoped. Like teenagers of all people should know better and be way more understanding
ellie H idk about other states but I know in Australia we learn about social issues from geography and PDHPE and obv modern history helps us realise how not to act as a person or society. So no one I know uses racial slurs or acts racist due to that and well it’s common sense so I’m kinda confused when I see people saying and doing stuff that are racist in the present especially when little to no one around me says stuff like that.
ピンクpeache I’m wondering if it’s something that goes on in the United States mostly. I was born in the states, and I notice so much racism on a day to day basis. It’s strange. I’m 26, and I believe that I am completely accepting of every sort of race, age, sexual orientation, et cetera. But, racism seems very prevalent in the US. People get violent over racism here, and it’s a terrifying thought. And, to know that this app is “promoting” those kinds of things to young teens is awful.
Emilie Marie I’m from the UK and it’s not like a thing to be racist like it is in America ? Like you just wouldn’t even think about saying anything. Of course there still are people who are but I can’t think of anyone personally who is. It seems to be a thing in that every white girl in America has said the n word or something though?
Emilie Marie when I hear about the discrimination in the US I mainly think it’s like 40 year old people or older not young teenagers? Like that baffles me
i feel bad for that baby, gavin. he’s big for his age. and everybody was calling him a monster and gross and scary. and his parents were asking for people to stop the hate. and everybody still said bad things about a LITERAL TODDLER
@@skinredefinedmedicalaesthe1899 from what i know, the parents posted a tik tok of their baby who happened to be larger for his age and it blew up because it became a trend to hate this baby and say bad things about him
It is really sad and I can’t imagine how the parents feel, however sadly anything we put on the internet becomes free to criticism. For personal things like that I would keep those videos of Gavin private for family or accepted followers to avoid this.
there is no excuse for all the hate, but as parents they shouldn't have shared something private as this to the Internet for everyone to see in the first place honestly
Also if a fat person posts a vid of themselves just living their lives, all the comments are "I went STRAIGHT to the comments" and "you shouldn't promote this unhealthy lifestyle", as if fat people aren't allowed to post on social media just like anyone else.
Thank you... I'm a plus size mom and boy do i get the wrong comments. Like i don't sit around eating everyday all day my guy i had a kid added to the weight and i just haven't lost the weight.
I'm all for being confident about how you look and all, but no. Health at every size does NOT exist and is not a thing. You can't be anorexic or obese and be healthy. I do agree to not feel pressure and just do it on your own phase. You can encourage people but not that in that way..
Working out is fine if you want to do it and are eating well. I get workouts from Tik tok because I like to stay healthy and I'm a teenager. Just as people shouldn't feel guilty for not being thin, you shouldn't feel bad for wanting to live a healthy life and be more toned.
I remember my little sister was doing a super sexualized dance and I told her why she shouldn't do those dances. She's 11 and she doesn't have Tiktok now, but she used to. I'm worried about who could be watching. :(
another point I'd like to add is the issue with the normalisation of bullying on the app, as well as the romanticisation of the expectations of teenage life :((
ikr i legit see videos like “tbh being mean is so fun” or like “bullying causes glow ups” like wtf? why is this stuff being promoted it makes me so sad.
I've tried defending some people since they were being bullied so badly (I used to be bullied as a teen, Im an adult now) and people started to just bash on me because I wasn't 'taking a joke' You don't have to be a jerk or an asshole to make a joke... I deleted the app pretty damn quick lol too toxic and too many issues.
Felicia Berrier the fairy comments can be funny, but i saw some REALLY bad ones, like “jewish but make it 1941” and other really bad ones. those comments have really gone too far.
I also hate the fact that TikTok is ruining music taste of younger generations. They can’t listen a song longer than 20 seconds, seriously, that just sucks...
Tik tok has been great for exposing unknown artists to a wider audience and giving them mainstream success but yeah I hate it when people listen to a song for only 20 seconds
I HATE it when people comment things like “I’m a nice person💀” or “I don’t bully/I’m not a bully-“. That I’m itself is making fun of a person and shooting down the confidence, they are in fact a bully.
Groove _of the future for example someone who may not fit into societal beauty standards might post a video doing something they enjoy or what other people are doing. People comment “I’m not a bully-“, basically saying that if they were a bully they would say something rude, but the comment itself is bullying and putting the person who made the video down anyway. Also same with the “brave of them to leave the comments on”.
Catherine Marrison fr then when u say something they call you a snowflake!!! Like that’s not being a snowflake it’s being a good person to others. It makes me so mad. I just stopped commenting on things
Something that I find really upsetting to see on tik tok is when people normalise and promote unhealthy diets and bad eating habits. My mum is a registered dietitian, so I know better but many, many other young girls (in particular) don’t. It can so easily lead to deeper problems such as eating disorders. They’re not proven to be effective or healthy, however unqualified people promote them to young people. It’s honestly disgusting.
mmm that's true but people have been doing that forever on social media, search what I eat in a day on youtube...I just don't get why tik Tok is getting put on blast for shit that's happened on youtube, instagram, facebook, Snapchat, tumblr, etc for years, unfortunately none of these things are new
@@jesspaige4540 I agree with you. I was quite shocked to hear some of the things Luke was saying cause I've never seen some of them and I've been on Tik Tok for months. Ash exactly! And that’s right, after I wrote that comment I read through some more comments and someone mentioned tumblr...totally forgot when I was a young teenager people used to post photos of them being unhealthily thin and it was trendy/cool to do that...tumblr was a huge problematic platform in my teenage years for glorifying ED among many other terrible things
When you said that the videos take the whole screen so you don't see time going by reminded me how casinos are designed......closed spaces, machines everywhere ,no Windows,no clocks, colors everywhere .Besides the gambling its very similar. Its a structure made to get you addicted, and to make profit from your addiction on your behalf.
TikTok is so extremely toxic. I’m tired of seeing racism, colorism and the fact people think it’s cute to be mean and rude to people in the comments. Saying “I’m nice, I’m nice” and the fairy comments are so annoying and disgusting . Imagine making fun of people trying to have fun, and being confident within themselves.

Id like to hear your thoughts on Charli getting a reality tv show, here's mine: I’m kind of disappointed that Charli is getting a reality tv show. She’s a child for God’s sake, she doesn’t need to be exposed like this, and even if she has a good support system, having a reality tv at 15 is unhealthy and completely unnecessary. People don’t need to know what a minor is doing with her life. And not be rude but what are they really going to show besides her doing homework and filming tik toks? No disrespect because she seems very sweet, but I think it’s a bit irresponsible of her parents to continue to let their daughters be so exposed like this and i think she just needs to stick to being a KID who makes dances for fun
I agree. I think it's weird that her parents are so okay with them having a reality show. I don't know them and I'm sure they are great parents to her and her sister, but it lowkey seems like they're using their kids and definitely profiting off of all their success.
I disagree with you but hear me out. For me, if you didn't properly think about the reprucussions before agreeing, you don't get to cry about it. It sucks but it's True. I know she is a minor but she has parents. However, I do agree on the problem of content. They will have to script and prompt alot of events. It will take a toll on the mental health.
Annette I complete agree and honestly I think it’s her father in particular who agreed to this. He’s into politics and owns a popular clothing store in NYC. So I don’t know, kinda fishy. She seems very sweet and actually reminds me a lot of Britney Spears and her demeanor and we all know how that turned out.

I'm a 15 year old girl with no social media besides a reddit. Honestly, I tried to get into instagram, a little bit of tiktok, twitter, (etc..) but it always just left a really bad taste in my mouth. I felt so alone being a teenager without social media, but I'm so glad I don't have it. Everything just seems so fake to me; people idolizing this "perfect world", not to mention the beauty standards and crazy amount of photoshop. Tiktok is just a platform where (not everyone) insecure teenagers try to seek validation and fame from others. And twitter is a place where people argue without even listening to each other; it reminds of the sad reality of the lack of empathy and how divided this world is. I realized that when I started using social media I felt worse about myself, so I literally deleted it for a year (only using youtube and reddit), and I literally felt MUCH better about myself. Now, of course, there is a responsible way to use social media, but unfortunately we've exploitated it.
i agree with you! honestly deleting my social media felt so liberating. it felt so mindless spending hours scrolling through people's feed, people who i thought i had a good idea of present themselves in such a manner that disrespects them. it just made me sad.
Julia Dodson thank you so much for that. I have been thinking about deleting ALL my social media’s but it have always felt like something you just can’t do. I DEFINITELY feel like pretty privilege/rich privilege isn’t talked about enough on tiktok. Like whenever I go there, if I’m bored or something, the first thing I’ll see is some conventionally attractive teen (I’m a teen too btw) with expensive clothes just standing there, flexing, getting thousands of views and likes for litteraly doing nothing.🤧 As an artist on Instagram who doesn’t get that many likes, but still works hard, it’s so annoying and frustrating to see these people get thousands of likes and reshares just for looking good and wearing expensive clothes.
Maiva La you can have opportunities outside of social media. You don’t have to be beautiful to have a normal ass job! Unattractive people still lead normal and happy lives here! Goodness gracious. Stop paying so much attention to social media. Your life will really be so much better.
aye whats ur art handle on insta? i'd love to check ur stuff out! (sorry this is off-topic and if you don't feel comfortable sharing it you don't have to. much Luv and stay safe y'all!)
One thing that I hate about this app is the fact that everyone seems to be OK with body shaming, or just like calling people ugly or calling people names for not being attractive. It’s horrible. I saw this mom who posted a video of how much her son means to her and he is cross eyed and people were literally making fun of him. He’s literally 9 months.
teens in tiktok get comfortable forgetting they're oversharing for literally strangers, it gets more and more darker if we think on how some private stuff is literally overshared in an ''eternal'' world like the internet... is just not worthy it, jeez
Right!? They want to normalise ppl making fun of ppl now like what happen to taking care our mental health? Iam starting to feel very insecure again (they said it wasn’t a joke) I swear they literally admit themselves that their toxic damn
Honestly every time I use TikTok I have a panic attack. It’s soooo judgemental and everyone wants everyone to be a clone and be perfect. It also just makes me feel ugly ngl

Arcane Raven yeah ik, i just hate the fact that politics made it way onto tiktok. everyone is going to have different opinions on it and people can’t accept that people’s ideas are different than others.
tiktok used to be funny until they started bullying people of color, people of religion, people in the lgbt community, people who are overweight, people who have hobbies (musical theatre, choir, cosplay, etc) theres now also a trend to make fun and label woman too. its just becomee a platform for extreme bullying to the point where someone k*lled themselves. and about pretty privilege its true but when an attractive person is on tiktok people bully them for how they look or give them a backhanded compliment or make them feel guilty about how they look and don't even Get me started on the politics side of tiktok
I remember beautiful a time when it just made fun gurl gamers, cowbois, those unironic why do good girls like bad guys tik toks, lip syncing cheesy bad lines from bad shows and of course furries
I hate those ones that say "how to see red flags: if he talks to other girls, if he doesn't let you read his text messages, etc" and I'm like wow you're just toxic and moreover there are lot of kids with tiktok who think that that's normal because of the amount of those videos

Karen luvs Jesus What do you mean? You want me to explain the person’s comment? It’s self-explanatory. Or do you want a better in-depth explanation on why TikTok is toxic?
@Karen luvs Jesus try turning subtitles on! anyway, here's a lil review: tiktok is toxic bc of all the racism, disrespect, body shaming and more that's on the app. things that if teenagers are exposed to, they could very possibly get mental illness or insecurities. let's use a popular example; charli damelio. there's a lot of comments calling her a whale, or vice versa, a skeleton. she's 16! she's a child and shouldn't be exposed to that type of comments, as well as she shouldn't be sexualised. another example, the hype house. they're all mostly super problematic, and they have a super young audience that shouldn't be exposed to that. i'm sorry if my english isn't that good, i'm trying my best to explain this with my poor vocabulary. hope i helped a little.
I tweeted the other day, “Wow I’m glad Tik Tok wasn’t around when I was a teenager, even now it’s making me feel ugly” 🙃 I’m 24 now, genuinely happy social media was not at full speed when I was in high school.
Girl yes, 24 too:) I remember us being more into the games breaking onto the scene than any social media in high school. The most I deal with is Snapchat and maybe Facebook every 4 months, everything else I avoid like the plague.
I was thinking exactly the same thing a few days ago. I already had so many issues like EDs and depression, I can't imagine how they would have been even worse with social medias and Tik Tok... Being a teenager is even tougher today.
I’m mad at Tik Tok cuz it triggered me a lot. there are so many videos about mental illness and how aesthetic, romantic and fabulous they are. I’ve dealt with depression for 4 years and seeing those really hurt me.
Ashleyyysaurus lmao. the people that say “ThIs iS tHe iNtErNeT” havent been alive long enough to have appreciated the internet before smartphones and social media as we know it existed. social media is NOT the internet. the internet is an incredible tool. social media is largely a toxic phenomena.
This is so trueeee, it's not a valid reason at all. Whether you're on the internet or not, ya shouldn't be bullying anyone nor should you be getting bullied by anyone. You're still a human, even if you're behind a screen. Being a nugget online and then being nice in rl doesn't make you a nice person. You still be bullying people :/
Many people hope that the world is a nice place, despite there being so much clear evidence of how cruel it really is. It's not okay to excuse bullying, in any sense. Some people need to be warned though
As a male teenager with body insecurities, i kinda notice this, tiktok really is kinda toxic for me or for anyone with body insecurities... because there are alot of boring ass tiktoks of attractive people being praise because of their face, body, JUST BEING ATTRACTIVE, it made my insecurities flash back to me "im fat", "my hair is ugly", "my nose is ugly", "i had to get abs", "i need to be more muscular", UGH I REALLY HATE THIS, IM ON THE TIKTOK FOR RELATABILITY AND FUNNY CONTENT, NOT PRETTY PEOPLE WHO ARE PRETTY BORING, omg i relate to you...
Ugh yes!! People who is popular in tik tok (in my country especially) are the mix guys or girls, thin girls, white. Like im sick of that!! Because IM not like that and pretty girls or handsome guys on tik tok tell us to love yourself more, its not as easy as you think 😌 tik tok make it worse, good thing i deleted the app and i feel much better now 😌
Tiktok is a paradise for problematic, toxic creators to thrive in. Most of all the good creators have either moved away, got wrongfully cancelled, got pushed out, or just staying quiet.
I've noticed that. People just being racist towards others despite wanting equality especially towards white people, there's even a tik tok creator that made it his thing. It's a frustrating site that is just as bad as Twitter

I'm scared bc my cousin is growing up with this app, she's 11/12 so in the peak age where she can be the most affected. I'm a teen but i'm so glad I haven't downloaded this f**king app. All of my friends tell me too but like i've seen some of my friends spend HOURs on this app.
and people body shaming themselves is so normalized it’s disturbing. imagine someone pointing out an insecurity saying they hate that feature, and a young kid sees who has the same feature but never noticed anything wrong with it. it’s so toxic and can cause so much insecurities.
I have so many new insecurities I didn't even know, like a bad side profile, weird nose, hip dips, large rib cage, fat ankles, thick thighs. it's terrible for your self esteem: if anyone is going through what I am, delete the app now. I feel much better and you will too.

All the "back profile" "side profile" trends and the amount of girls saying they didn't even know that was something to be insecure about until tik tok makes me really sad. There's so much negativity about body image on Tik tok that's just disguised as humour, and if you try and dispute it you're just told to "lighten up". Seems that people view this kinda content as a "personality trait" now or something, must be pretty damn boring if that's the only way you can get clout these days

You both Morgan and Park have really good points, a breath of fresh air in the youtube comment section
Joshua Corpuz Thanks dude

That is really sad tbh
They make everything about gender sis
so true everyone there has the same personality no originality

Id like to hear your thoughts on Charli getting a reality tv show, here's mine:
I’m kind of disappointed that Charli is getting a reality tv show.
Annette this why child stars either hate their parents or get messed up
I disagree with you but hear me out.
For me, if you didn't properly think about the reprucussions before agreeing, you don't get to cry about it. It sucks but it's True. I know she is a minor but she has parents.
However, I do agree on the problem of content. They will have to script and prompt alot of events. It will take a toll on the mental health.
I would prefer the girl who created the renegade dance to have a reality show
Annette I complete agree and honestly I think it’s her father in particular who agreed to this. He’s into politics and owns a popular clothing store in NYC. So I don’t know, kinda fishy. She seems very sweet and actually reminds me a lot of Britney Spears and her demeanor and we all know how that turned out.

Maiva La that’s not it? Have lived life wrong
Maiva La you can have opportunities outside of social media. You don’t have to be beautiful to have a normal ass job! Unattractive people still lead normal and happy lives here! Goodness gracious. Stop paying so much attention to social media. Your life will really be so much better.

I’m really sorry you had to experience that. I’ll never understand why they want to have depression, or mental illness in general.
God bless you 💗
I’m sorry you had to experience that tiktok really is bad
They making fun of depression too
Something that gets me mad, annoyed and everything is when someone is getting bullied and the people just said “THIS IS INTERNET” like WHY
