Abbey when I was learning how to ride motorcycles I kept going up in size, speed and power, and I was told I wouldn't respect the machine until I have a crash. It was true. A couple crashes I got better and better at it and became a safer rider because of it .Just like your baby when she starts walking. And you're going to get better as your experience will improve. Keep up the good work Abbey.
@@mrehollis6288 Exactly although I always relate it to learning to walk, you watch children, they topple and fail a couple time but they are determined to succeed no matter what obstacles are challenging them and before you know it they become very skilled at not only walking but go on to more advanced skills. She is doing an amazing job of landing and as a flyer even better. Cheers , love watching the videos , just not so happy personally as the prices to own these rc toys in Canada is a bit more expensive so as a senior on a pension it takes a lot of saving .....still well worth it since the covid scare recently here means we must isolate and this helps a lot to enjoy that time much more. All the best to all for the future.
I'm just now looking for a beginner friendly pllane as I have been in to helicopters and drones so far and love flying.
t/hank you both so much for these videos, they do really help tons.
Hey got this for my dad it flies great even in wind.
So awesome
That was not a crash. That was adverse emergency landing conditions practice, and you did great.
I agree that was not a crash, just clipping a soft object. :)
I really do like it when Abby flies on the channel.
It really gives the channels viewers some variety.
Its also fun to see someone, still learning.
Its nice to see a lady flying, and i am sure this would give other lady’s some interest in flying.
I think Abby is leaving it to long between flights.
If Abby had her own plane, that she could fly every time you do a video for another product, off camera, her confidence and experience will grow.
The more you fly your own model, the less you will feel you are going to crash, when it comes to flying something else.
Abby, you also have a really experienced pilot with you all the time. Make good use of this.
When i was learning, i would say to the experienced pilot, that i may suddenly hand him the transmitter, so be ready.
I found that the experienced pilot needed to show me, by me handing over the transmitter, how to get out of a bad situation, not try to leave me on the sticks and tell me, till i really got myself into a really bad situation. Thats no good.
As i was starting to panic and if they took the transmitter from me and explained, i got it quicker and above all the plane was in safe hands. Show me what i done wrong, then straight away let me have another go, and practice what i done wrong, but still with the knowledge, I could still hand over the transmitter to him if needed.
That was my safety net, if i felt i had lost orientation, or confidence in what i had to do.
The more time i got on the sticks the more my confidence grows, the less i had to hand over the transmitter.
You will get there, the more you fly. Fly as much as is possible.
All the best to your whole family.
Keith. UK 🇬🇧
Thank God you guys are RC people.
Thanks for your videos .
Thanks Randall 👍😀⚓😎
Great job Abby. You got the best coach right there with you. Don’t let emotions in there at all. If it feels weird, ignore it. Crashes aren’t bad, they are learning landings.
The best tip I have learned for landing and depth perception is look at the shadow on the runway. It helps sooooo much. I fly off a skinny road with ditches on either side that slope down very steep, and I line the shadow up with the line on the road and it is a piece of cake!!!
I'm not sure exactly what you are talking about. If you could make a video, no matter how crude or amateur, would be great if you could post it. Thanks from an RC plane beginner.
Great job Abby! I’m still learning too after taking up the hobby this year at 62 years old! I have an apprentice mini, I most of the time fly in beginner mode .i practice slow flybys as if I’m going to land it helps me a lot although I crashed it once I was able to repair it myself and got it back in the air. I love this hobby and love your channel keep up the good work!
Well done Abbey, great to see you flying and great landings.
I do understand how you feel kiddo, I left the sport years back for the same reason you had.... now I am back trying it all over again. You did and do very well I am happy for you
Abby
Good job on the comeback flight. I have anxiety, so I know what it’s like to worry about stuff. It can really keep you from enjoying things when you worry. Just remember, it’s only a plane and it is repairable and replaceable. You made it look so easy, I’m going to buy one of those planes.
Good job!
So what Abby.... We all crash that's the fun of this Hobby is try not crashing keep up the good work we love you guys!
Great to see you flying again Abby! Awesome 💯
I started flying in the 70's when most models were Balsa and plywood and a long building process. It was always a lot of nervousness when you took off with a screaming nitro engine pulling your creation but no describing the feeling when it lifted off and flew and you knew you had done a good job. We crashed and rebuilt. Watching you folks fly and discuss your planes is so much fun. It's just as thrilling to you flying the foamies as it ever was to us old times. I used to have a Flyzone Sensei. Loved that plane it got downwind at the flying field and disappeared into a heavily wooded area and never found even after several drone searches by a friend. I now only have a Drone and A Flyzone Calypso glider that I just climb to altitude and catch a few thermals. Sometimes I drop parachutes with either plane or drone. Great Videos.
After much research about which plane to use to get into the the hobby I chose Areoscout and your videos helped me to make that decision. I hadn't flown an RC airplane in 25 years and then they were cheap read to crash things. Got lucky to pick up Real Fight 8 sim used. RF8 was an invaluable tool to help learn. Today was a nice calm morning and in a large field I flew the Areoscout for the first time. In 10' it left the ground and and in safe mode it was a breeze to fly. Landing was chopping the power and let it landed itself. Even did a touch and go. Thanks for a great recommendation.
Well done Abby. I know that feeling when you’ve crashed a plane & that corner of the airfield is intimidating. Don’t let it stop you, keep flying. You are a better pilot than me, I really am a beginner pilot. Fly how you feel comfortable, but try to extend your comfort zone. You are inspirational.
Excellent! It was fun guys! Thanks!
Excellent Job Abby!!! I'm saving for that exact plane. As I have said before in previous posts, it's been 30 + years since I've flown RC Planes & the Scout will be perfect to start with.
You two are awesome. I so enjoyed this
Abby, you're a far better pilot than you think. Always have been. As you say yourself "crashing is part of the hobby" I've "landed" more planes than I like to count, in trees, in bushes and once in a pond. Give yourself a break and enjoy the hobby.....even the crashes xx
Good job Abby. Really great fun to watch this flight. Keep you trust in the force!!! Good job filing Nate.
Great job Abby. Crashes can be very discouraging. I know this from experience. The Aero scout is a great confidence builder . So is that little Timber .
The only way to get better at something is practice. You got this Abby 👊👍😊
Good job, Abby! It takes a lot of determination to get back in the air after crashing. I'm so proud of you!
Well done! Good to see you back out there! I haven't flown in 3 years. And I'm going out tomorrow because of this! You're an inspiration!
I was thinking this morning- Day one with 2 WL Toys Skyhawks. 1st plane made it 10 seconds, ran it into a steel bleacher. Plane 2 (Same day) ran it into a 20 foot high chain link fence. 3rd Skyhawk (about a week later) flew it on a windy day. It found the tallest pine tree in the Park. 3 years later the fuselage is still wedged. Learning experiences... Unfortunately, my start in this sport nothing was recoverable: Then I found UA-cam. Thanks to you two I got better. And thanks to your videos my 1st and only charger was the Venom Pro Quad. Forgot to thank you two for putting that video together.
Great job Abby!
Great job Abby!!!
Great job Abby, keep it up. Good to see you flying again!!!
Nice job Abby, you can do it! Nate did a good job supporting you on this journey. Looking forward to your next flight. =)
So great to see you flying again Abby & excellent flight!! Take it one step at a time & keep up the confidence. I have total faith in you 😊❤
Great video - great flying !
This is really encouraging for all of us that are new to flying! You guys are a great team! Great job!
Abbey you keep'in it real not being as perfect as Nate gives us beginners hope. Don't worry about the bad landings or flights. Ninety percent of those plane videos are perfect pilots. Your mishaps are our mishaps, so we feel like you feel when it doesn't go right. The good thing is we're learning with you. Make all the corrections you need, we got your back. You are encouraging us beginners. Don't worry about it. When I get my first plane RCS Beginners videos will be my trainers to start. Thanks for the videos.
I thought you did really well Abby. I flew into a tree when I first flew after about 15 years of not flying. You did great.
My first and only plane. Great plane to get comfortable with
Awesome flying Abby! Congrats on getting back in the air!!
Well done Abby. You will get back to where you were ability wise in time. Just do it at your speed.
I love watching you guys! And your great family values. It’s refreshing these days.
Great job Abby. Keep it up, and I'll keep watching. Hey Nate!
Great job flying!!!
Your landings were fabulous. Absolutely no reason to think you can't do it regularly. Keep the nose down and let the plane glide in smoothly, just like you did on the video. Well done.
Just ordered mine, can't wait.
Way to go Abby! Looking good!
You guys are awesome!!!
Congratulations Abby on flying again. You did an awesome job.
Great Job I am learning myself. way to go
.
Great job Abby! Glad you got back in the air!! You will be doing all of those loops and rolls and greasing those landing perfectly in no time at all!
You did awesome! Congratulations Abby! 🎊 👍🏾Have a great day you both!...Greetings from Douglas, Arizona 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾🌵🦠😷🇵🇷
Good work guys . thanks
Way to get back in the saddle, Abby!!! Great job!
Always enjoy watching the RcSaylors. Watching Abby fly this airplane convinced me to buy the same airplane and try RC flying at the ripe old age of 66. It is sitting in a box under our Christmas tree. Thanks Abby and Nathan, you do good work.
Great job Abby ! 😁👍👍
Great job Abby!! I’m so happy to see you flying again. I felt so bad for you after the Radian crash (even though I take full responsibility for that😉). Can’t wait to fly with you again. Oh... and good work with the camera Nate.
Great video you guys are awesome I watch every video you guys have very helpful information and I have bought a lot of drones from reviewing your videos. Thank you for helping us out here to purchase items from the good reviews. Also the camera in slow mode is really cool feature. Great job !!!!!!
Brilliant flight Abby. I have just bought the Aeroscout but have not had the chance to try it yet. So this video has helped me so much. Thank you
I’m a rusty pilot too and recently bought this same plane. Wow it’s so easy to fly in beginner mode! I did switch the TX to the high rate position as I found the bank angle and turns to wide. Landed it okay but like you, I need more practice. Great video guys?
Great job Abby
Stay with it Abby. You're a natural.
Thank you James! 😁👍⚓
great job. you guys are my fav channel now. may have to get this plane. i am completely new to flight.
Go for it Abby, you did well this flight.
great job Abby you did great keep going no matter if you crash try again that what will make you better, keep the great videos coming guys
I have bought the same aircraft and it is inspiring to see you flight. You do a very good job
Abby every landing is a crash, a controlled crash if you will. You two add a lot of fun watching you fly.
Abbey. We all can relate. I learned flying with RC helicopters. Duh! Talk about crash trauma!! But your emotions are perfectly normal. It really is hard to get back up in the air. You had some beautiful landings here. So glad you two (three) are doing this together. I’m sure it was a confidence builder.
Nice flying Abby nice to see you fly again keep it up .👍
Good flying keep it up and enjoy the hobby.
Nice flying - Have to get me one of these planes !
great flying Abby
She always flies well!
Great flying Abby!! I have crashed a lot! One of my flights of two only, I let it get too high and too far away, 500 feet straight into the ground. Keep flying and learning from experience, it's fun!
So glad you conquered your fears. Wicked proud of you. That touch & go was awesome! Super cool to see you in the air. Your smile brightens up any day. Wishing you clear sky’s and smooth flights ✨✅✨🙋♂️✨
Great flying.
Awesome video ! This came up on my suggested video & I thought wow that place looks just like Paul coffee park and low n behold - always nice to see some folks local to me ! Cheers and have fun!
This one reminds me of my Challenger Ultralight. Nothing better than getting in the air!!
Good job Abby! Way to keep after it.
You can do it. We love ya ... Good job !
We love ya Abbie, your doing great.
Wow great flight, great plane so quite and it has wheels, cool.
Abby, boy I can relate to alot of things you said. At least you have flown before and now you're doing a great job of flying now. Aeroscount sitting in living room now. Wish Abby, Nate, or his dad was here to guide me! Fear of crashing is terrible thing. But I have hope.
You go girl....anybody thats ever held a transmitter has been there done that...myself included...!
i bought one of these things a few months ago, and ive NEVER flown anything but paper airplanes.... most of which crashed. i'm not a pilot, i dont have flight simulators, never flew a drone, etc. etc.
first time it went up, within ten minutes i was buzzing myself, landing, taking off, going up, down, figure 8's, crosswind landings with the rudder thingy, landed on the school roof, etc. i spent the last ten minutes or so flying it at about 6' off the ground so my dogs could chase it. Never a crash, no damage, no nothing. This thing is a dream. Beginner mode is great!
next day i flew it straight into a tree and we broke the nose off getting it down. drat. i just transferred the engine and stuff to a new airplane body and i look forward to flying it again tomorrow.
Now i want an f22 :P
Great job! My Aeroscout is on the way! Keep up the great videos! So beginner friendly yet informative for those of us now stepping to the intermediate level.
Thank you very much! That means a lot 👍😁 Happy Flying 😎⚓
well done..great landings..awsum..well done guys
Well done Abby. Good to see you fly fixed wing! 😊
Fantastic Tip about aiming your plane on landing towards you. This is one of Michael Wargo`s pro-Tips, as well!
Good job Abey!
Awesome job. You will get it again!
Great job. You are doing it.
Abby, I'm sorry if I ever said anything in the comments that might have added to your lack of confidence. As Nate has said to all of us you're going to crash and you have to be ok with that. You seem to very accomplished as a pilot. Those were beautiful landings so you haven't lost your touch. My uncles all flew balsa gliders when I was a kid. Even though they had been flying for years, I can remember them having a bad year or two where everything they flew they crashed. And a balsa plane crash takes forever to fix and can be very expensive. My point is, don't be discouraged, I think you did a great job. Keep moving forward! We're all pulling for you!
Thank you very much Scott! Wow, that is so true about flying balsa. Guess we are very lucky to have these amazing foam planes now. Much easier to fix for sure. Have an awesome weekend, and thank you ❤👍⚓😎🛩
Great flying Abby ! I hope to see more videos of you flying and building your confidence back to what it was before.
Thank you for another great video guys and congratulations Abby on a fantastic flight
Rick B aka Plastic butcher
Great flight, Abby! Keep going. You'll be flying those jets in no time! 🛩️👍⚓❤️
Enjoyed watching you fly Abby! I like this plane and the Carbon Cub as first RC aircraft. I will get one of them someday thanks to watching you and Nate fly them.
I'm with you on some planes. I have a zazzy that you guys talked me into over two years ago that I haven't flown. And now I have a P51 going on 6 months that I haven't flown but I have a night radian that has 3 takeoffs and 2 landings!!! Well it was a mess but almost as good as new now. Foam tact glue does wonders so don't worry so much.
Go fly that zazzy! And your P51. No hanger queens! Pick a nice day and go for it... just check that CG!!! I think that's the biggest newbie downfall - it was/is for me... Then again, as I mentioned above, I found that part of the cure for me was to fly something you don't really care much about, like a Flite Test foamboard plane you slapped together. Takes most of the fear out of crashing, builds confidence and the always-important muscle memory. And lots of Realflight on the PC - Fly, Crash, Reset: a new plane every time!!
Very nice landing. Good job
You did a fine job Abbey way to go
Abby I think we all know and understand the trepidation but it’s great to see you in the air again ♥️.
I’d add that one of the reasons I love your channel is you test so many of the cheaper RC’s. I bought 2 of the cheap little RC planes you reviewed (the one that looks like a passenger plane) and I’m so glad I did because I smashed one of them into a tree 🤦♂️
Abby you did great
YAY,YAY, YAY, ABBY ... I I knew you could do it!! THAT WAS FABULOUS!! Now that that stress is out of your brain... LET THE FUN BEGIN, again!!😂😂 Big nod to Amelia ... GREAT "girls day" video!! Great plane, too!!Thanks Saylors for the matinee!! 💟👍👍😘
Love the aeroscout. I got it about 2 weeks ago and its great. I crashed it really hard a couple times but I glues and taped it and it still flies great. Its my very first plane and its taking some time. But thats the fun part
Congratulations Abby, you flew wonderfully. We believe in you !! You have Nate with you and he's a great pilot . We want too see you fly more ! Practice makes you better. It's just another life challenge. Grab the sticks and go for it ! Not a bad video Nate. 👍👍🙏🙏⚓⚓✈✈✈😃
