This beats the apprenctice by far! I had both and ended selling the apprentice... I was flying back in the 90's and just got back into it 6 months ago. Long story short with this plane I was able to work my way from begginer to expert! Now I do all kind of stunts with this plane including flying inverted 2 feet above the runway! I have moved now to skill level 3 and expert but I would have not done so without this plane!!! Worth every penny for what it is capable of doing!
Cautionary tale. On mine the carbon spar that transits the vertical stabilizer became irretrievably stuck about 1/3 of the way through, despite lubing it. Wouldn't budge, , ,even with pliars! Had to send it back to Horizon for repair. Sooooo. . .feed that spar in VERY slowly and if it starts to bind EVEN A LITTLE, pull it out and sand it until it fits snugly but doesn't bind.
When I returned to the hobby after a long hiatus, this is the plane I started with. That and the RF simulator I feel I'm flying better now than when I left the hobby{raising kids and 60 hr job meant no time] I now tell anyone one a FB page asking how to start that this is a great starter. Enjoy your channel, keep flying!!
Very Nice plane from Hobbyzone. I have one i take to the field. Makes a great warm up plane and also a trainer to have on standby for anyone new to the hobby that shows up to the club field. Very agile and quick for its size. Handles a little wind pretty easily. I highly recommend it. Plus - Horizon has the RTF version on sale now $30 off reg price. Great deal. 👍👍😉
Just got this plane and have watched your vid of flying the beginner plane, the Apprentice I think. You operate it in SAFE mode and trim it. Not sure if it is the same as AeroScout, but it appears this one can only be trimmed in Mode 2 = expert mode. Have to try it on my rudder tomorrow if I can find a smooth surface. Thanks for going back to the first flite and to showing the controls at the same time. Can't wait to see you do the same with the AeroScout.
I have it and think it's really great. I'm back flying after 30+ years ! I'm flying well, but just in the last week am confused. I'm flying with just AS3X .... it will NOT loop. I'm sure I flew loops in AS3X a few weeks ago. I have set up throws and expo for two modes. Even in the full throw setting ...no loop unless I disable AS3X ?????
Curious question, can the wheels on the AeroScout S 2 be replaced with balloon wheels, thinking it can help soften landings more over help to ease any stress on the front gear...your thoughts???
My s150 came with a bad power supply cable. So far my horizon hobby purchases 2:1 with sort of minor issue. And customer service is about as bad as your expect. No technical advice what so ever. My new dx6 screen fades out 40-50°f and they said it's normal below 32 and wouldn't confirm that my issues were not normal. Already spent 250+ not going to pay for shipping both ways for them to tell me it's fine or tell me I did something wrong. After multiple attempt to get a straight answer they just say and it in. NOPE! Never again

Seem to be out of stock at moment locally. I was wondering is the foam the hard beer cooler type or softer more flexible type.
It's not available in India. Can you please help me to get one.

Does the aero scout balance on floats the same place as the wheels? Or is it different?
