Landscape Painting Time-lapse | "A Lasting Impact"
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 жов 2019
- Inspired by Saint Mary Lake in Glacier National Park, this new oil painting of mine is an attempt to express my passion and love for wildlife and the outdoors. I was so impacted by a brilliant sunrise we saw this past summer that I knew I had to try and capture the feeling of it. Experiences like this as well as encounters with wildlife can be timeless. Everything leaves "A Lasting Impact" on the landscape and those who roam it. It's why I love the wilderness so much.

He needs a happy little friend though, everyone needs a happy little friend, even trees… 😊
He just threw a bear in there like it was nothing
Just as bob ross taught, if you want it in your painting, just toss it in.
The lighting on the bear looks off though in comparison to the scene
sylgar45 I was worried about this when he said he wanted to add it but I actually think he integrated it well
Hey Hey HEY!! Spoiler alert much!!?
clickbait, you're not painting, you're just cleaning your window

I saw your comment was at 999 and it gave me so much anxiety so now your at one k
The hardest things about these paintings is patience
oliver worley it's relaxing once you try, you'll lose track of time and you won't even notice that hours have passed, you should try it
Many people expect too much of an outcome rather than go with it.
I agree, I have such a few finished paintings and drawings because I just ditch it in the middle of the process
Especially since this is an oil painting and thus requires a day or two minimum of drying time before you can add another layer without it muddying what you laid before. Then once it's done it'll need 2 months to dry out completely and then varnished. That's why I much prefer acrylics and watercolor. I still have to varnish them to protect them afterward and I don't get the easy blending time oils have but those are easily worked around.
@@RivkahSong 🤯🤯
Genuinely, this should be in a museum.
0:49 I would be happy to paint this far
How tf did you put in so much detail? I can barely paint a tree.
decades of practice, dude. he made painting his pinnacle in life.
Here is a great tip that helped me "be patient"
This type of videos make me feel so demotivated about my own skillset... This is freaking legendary level
That was me at 20 years old as well, so don't sweat it and keep your head down and continue to work at it. It takes years and years to learn
@@chuckblackart Are you giving actual classes in Montana? I would sign up for that combined with a trip to the National Parks :D
Most breathtaking piece of art I’ve ever seen hands down.
You literally took the words out of my mind ! It's stunning.. I think I could just stare at it for hours
This, for me, is the true brilliance of the internet. You can share the journey of people on the other side of the planet in 10-20 minutes. We live in a beautiful world.
Sometimes, I think that I am decent at art... then I watch your videos, and realise just how wrong I am.
Super Sammich..you took the words right out of my mouth!!!
Im with you bro :'(
@Sharon Newman It's not downing yourself, it's a way of humbling one's self. You see this and you can't help but wonder how much work he has put on his art and say it yourself "I have so much potential and this, this is living proof."
Dint compare urself to others
@A smile on my face but a Demon inside ...you are absolutely correct! Thank you for your encouragement!
Your color mixing is perfect in every sense of the word. And those fine details are just mind blowing.
I literally can't comprehend how this is done.
There's a weird feeling you get from these paintings, it's like you wanna be at home but you're already in your home, my explanation sounds weird but that's how exactly I feel lol
It feels like we're already home because we are! The great mother earth and nature is our home. We all belong together.
@@zamorakxe beautiful said. We have to take care of our nature :)
You know you're a great artist when your paintings look like a mac background.
How is that even humanly possible? I'm mind blown.
YO he painted that bear in like 2 seconds...i can't explain how many times i rewatched that in amazement at how simply he did it but yet the effect was mindblowing!
I want to just CRY when I see this painting....the colors....the time of day....the depth is astounding. Saved in my favorites. THANK YOU.
There are very few times I've ever seen a moment captured more accurately AND better than a photo ever could, this is one of those
Bob Ross would have loved those mountains and the entire painting of course!
He would have loved those happy little trees
Y’all are done for when I can reach this level of realism.
The way the hidden sun and its light ended is ..... just .... wow amazing
I bet you could paint me like one of your french girls.

Lmao 🤣
Who the hell thumbs this down? The jealous and rude, that's who!
Colorado Joe Totally agree. Maybe they just don’t like awesome realism painting. Screw em.
maybe they're those types of people who'd buy pieces of paper with a black line on them for millions, just because they like to overthink and see meaning in them
or maybe someone who tapped the button on acciddent 😅
tbh im sure most of them did it on accident
Who answers their own questions? You, that's who!
I will simply never comprehend how on this EARTH can someone have SUCH talent when it comes to art...OH MG...>.> Speechless
Are you serious. This would be an incredible photo but it's a PAINTING?!? how??? Incredible, so so beautiful.
I always wanted to paint realistically but I always don’t know how to start and what to use. This painting is beyond amazing! I wish that one day I could be able to paint like this
You will
as an artist who has been painting forever, but struggles with motivation, I recommend finding what makes you passionate and what makes you enjoy painting. This is the most important thing. If you enjoy the process and keep doing it, then you will naturally become better with time :)
Im sure you will!!!. Maybe somewhere to start would be a Bob ross tutorial. He is easy to follow and very helpful. Painting just takes practice and I'm sure you will be great!
me? crying because this is too beautiful? absolutely.
Dudes, I think I figured this out:
He took a HD picture, painted over it and then reversed the video! Easy.
I look at these painting videos and see people disliking them. How? This guy motivates me to continue painting and not give up.
Dude, this is unbelievable! A friend of mine has been really improving his work and I asked how he'd completely catapulted his method. He dropped your name and here I am to check out your work. All I can say is the only sound my brain will let me make out of pure amazement, but I'm not sure how to spell it 😅
Fantastic. Thank you.
That's amazing, I'm glad to see others getting some good out of my vids.. I'm humbled thank you for the compliments and support!!
This is totally a million dollar piece , not like that contemporary crap that’s selling for millions ! Keep it up !
daniel gomez this painting will one day sell for a million dollars. Usually happens when the artist passes away and the keeper of the painting auctions off to the rich.
It's literally contemporary. There's a lot contemporary stuff that is not quite realistic landscape but with the same skill, you just don't know about it and want to be angry. Granted there is a lot of meh stuff too, but if you wander around at art Karlsruhe, you'd see a lot of oil paintings that ain't even dry that you d definitely at least respect.
@@gur262 Joshua Mack You are just commenting without being critic about My statement. I'm not talking about the Good contemporary art. If You know how to Read You can see that i said. "Better than contemporary crap that Is selling for millions", which doesnt mean that every contemporary art is crap. It means that there Is a Lot of crap selling for millions , and That pieces like the one in this video are really worth those prices instead of shitty "art"
daniel gomez but the art piece will eventually sell for a million dollars. But it will happen when the artist passes away. The only way you can sell your art for a million dollars now is if you get TV time or are aired on news. Just look at akiane. She’s talented but her appearance on the Oprah and other tv shows boosted her art fame.
@@dg9158 I am. Not like the contemporary crap you said. Indicating all things contemporary are crap, which is wrong

why does this makes me so emotional
Everything about this video shows just how passionate you are about what you do. It's amazing.

Chuck, I was speechless. I couldn't stop staring at the red peaks till the end. Thank you for this experience.
Woah...That's so beautiful...I just wanna cry
I want to start painting but *i WANT THIS PAINTING AS MY 1ST LEVEL*
4:36 Trying to imagine how incredibly grand this scene must've looked in person, with even more depth and detail than the crazy amount already shown in your painting, makes me love this painting even more. I pick a spot in the distance and I close my eyes and I imagine myself zooming in. The more I magnify, the smaller I feel relative to the sheer scale of those mountains. Amazing.
The flamingsword amazing comment
TheScrubDesigns thank you! I just had to put my thoughts into words 🤗. It’s a truly special thing when a piece of art inspires emotions this intense isn’t it? It reminds me why art is so important after being desensitized by so much pure photo realism paintings. They can be incredible, and I mean incredible. There’s one where my favorite part is the mud in the muddy road, because the artist rendered it so gob-smackingly realistically that it looked like a screenshot from Battlefield V with ray tracing on.
But that’s the problem; you can render that kind of extreme hyper realism with relative ease through computer graphics. To do that by hand is certainly a masterful show of technical skill, but once I’ve gotten desensitized to that, there’s not a whole lot else that compels me to feel inspired. I love Chuck’s work because it combines amazing technical skill with the emotion he feels for these beautiful landscapes. It’s similar to realism, but it’s fantastical, viewed through the rose tinted lens of nostalgia instead of a camera lens (I can’t believe I just came up with that line on the spot lmao).
And in my opinion, that is the tremendous value that these paintings have that other paintings lack.
The flamingsword couldnt agree more the ending shots had me in tears it really was like I was there
You coming up with something better every time is a literal life lesson, this is the true essence of being your own competitor. I'm a big fan of yours.
The way you painted those pine trees... idk what you did but theyre just so... **chefs kiss**
spent the first 20 years of my life in whitefish MT. it was a pleasant surprise to see this in my recommendations. Miss this place all the time
Im amazed after watching your amazing, truly stunning piece. It is so gorgeous and l felt SOO drawn into it. Thank you for creating something that truly made me want to be there to witness its beauty. I have been a subscriber for a while now and your art has always been amazing, but this is THE ONE that caught my hearts eye. Thank you once again for sharing and have a wonderful day!
True Masterpiece.
I almost cried because of how beautiful this is
SO. MUCH. BEAUTY!!!
Nailed it! That's the "larger than life" feeling.
Is he recalling all of this from his memory, or is he looking at a photo the took that day? If memory? Dang this guy has some incredible brain cells. I can’t recall the color of my cats most day’s.
av3maria I would imagine it’s both and than some additional enhancements because a photo never captures the same your eyes and brain would capture.
....and his cats are both black. ;-)
Wow! Add a nice lit camping tent with a small fire and a doggo, and you've captured one of my favorite camping and fishing memories..
This painting really speaks to me. Beautiful and peaceful.
Thanks for posting.
Ive never seen such a detailed and beautiful artwork like literally even the grass has like so much deatils in it its just crazy how good you can become
if I was shown this and told it was a photo, I would have totally believed it
Although I really appreciate and love your final pieces, I REALY Love your block ins. Have you considered doing more impressionist pieces that pretty much stop at your block in? Would love to see a real time video of the block in phase (well would just love to see some more videos in general).
This! THIS! This is real Art, your so amazing, not some Shades thrown into a Wallpaper. No this is true art!
This looks like a legit photograph….a gorgeous photograph…. And that bear looks real! Fur and all!! Amazing!! I want to buy this.
Watching this really grounded me, I've been carrying some stress and haven't been painting recently but this really helped me remember the feeling it can bring. Thank you Chuck, your work is powerful
This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen painted. I'm in awe that somebody can have this much talent. Well done mate
I'm planning to go to school basic acrylic painting till I finished to advance. After watching this I realized the difference between a talent and working hard. I probably do something else.
Your passion for nature is so evident by the amazing details in your paintings and the way you speak about it.
Superb work. A masterpiece.
They’re so relaxing!!! You’re so talented!!!
Very talented!!
Bob Ross would be proud 🤧🤧🤧 happy little clouds, happy little trees.
I wish I was good at art, I’d do things like this all day!

So realistic
Gorgeous of course but your stories on getting there are as great as the painting itself

This is the most beautiful landscape painting I've ever seen ❤ It's breathtaking.
Its hard to believe its a painting just like a picture took by cam😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
2x Bob Ross's souls went to his body when he was born
Karl Zyril dont disgrace bob ross like that
both paint at the same level. Ross is a bit faster, which doesn't make his shit better. talks funnier tho
Their style of painting is different
It's probably my OCD-esque behaviour that makes me have a problem with such painstakingly detailed painting styles, I shy away from it in all cases
This painting must be worth $1.MILLION
Now this is breathtaking...
Well done chuck..you are a real gentleman and artist..you definitely brought up in a great family.god bless you my son.
