    I do find to isolate the sky from the tree,is to use channels.Once the right greyscale layer has been identified giving the correct contrast ,the flood select tool can be used.This method goes all the way back to the legacy tutorials made in 2015,a method I still use today when dealing with tricky tree isolation.

    I am using Affinity Two version 2.3.0 on a Mac. When I right click the mask icon in the Layers panel, I do not get a dropdown menu to select the type of mask. (I can select different masks in the Layers menu across the top). How do I turn on the drop down menu in the Layers panel?. Thanks very much for showing this selection method. Dave

      Me either! I wonder if it is even possible. My right mouse click is active so it's not that.

      Had the same problem but on the Affinity forum I was told I couldn’t use the drop-down meno in (my) V1 - so I’m surprised that it’s also not working on V2...
