When some kid was lucky enough to get one of these as a gift they would certainly have been blown away. The red one is my favorite of the two. Awesome job Rob.
And once again, Ladies and Gentlemen, Matchbox Garage has delivered! Great job, Rob. Both paint jobs are awesome but I've never seen the red and gray one before.
I received one of those Car Transporters with 4 cars for Christmas one year. It was great and I am sorry to say I don’t remember what happened to it. Red & Gray definitely. Thanks for posting.
I've got one of these, have been thinking about renovating it for decades, this has inspired me, I'm definatly going to do it... its a Bedford S TYPE and use to come with a tin ramp to load the cars.. got it when I was around 8 or 9, now mid 70s...
Thanks again for the makeovers! This one is of interest to me in particular as I am trying to restore a tractor trailer / car transporter and trying to figure out to disassemble and remove the paint properly. As usual, fantastic, and thank you!
Like the job you do on the diecast cars you restore. The reason why the model filler could be setting off is because of the environment in which it is stored. I had that same problem with some Flex Seal in the can.
Great restoration again! Beautiful colours and great paintjob, 😎 That chrome grille and bumper breaks that red nicely 😀 I like both of them, but little bit more of red one.
Beautiful restoration on this transporter you got the paint perfect I was looking at mine while watching your video I own both of these transporter and they are mint Job well done Rob and by the way they are my favorite ones as well !
I like that you chose to do the alternate version, the red and grey is really cool. Both of these trucks are amazing! I prefer the red and grey just a smidge over the blue. You continue to impress me with your work. I don’t think I’d have the patience to do what you and your fellow restorers/customizers do.
Gorgeous in the red/grey. Think I prefer the blue, especially with the FB Victor on top, of which I have just finished restoring a real one. Such nice entertainment as always. Thanks.
Really fantastic restoration on this wonderful casting. I love them both and would choose the blue for its originality and the red and grey for its good looks so too hard to call. They sure look smashing with their loads of beautiful restored cars aboard, you need to do a photo shoot at a car show diarama. Take care and be well.
Next time you have to deal with rust like that, there is some stuff called naval jelly. I buy it at an auto parts store. It completely removes rust. It is an acid so you do have to take precautions. Both of these transporters are beautiful. It's hard go choose which is a favorite. I like the red one just a little more.
Absolutely amazing job. You make absolutely beautiful restorations. Somehow, you have improved since the plymouth you did for us. I didnt even think it was possible! The plymouth is absolutely beautiful... And this is too.Thank you for making my day everyday
That came out beautiful! I'm not sure which one I would say I prefer. I like them both. The blue one just pops, and the red/grey one adds some really nice contrast. I know one thing's for sure, if I was a kid growing up in that time period, I would want that car hauler in the worst possible way. lol
Great job Rob. I do like the red and Grey one more than the blue one. The gold and green option (as the people repainted it) would be a nice addition if you get another one.
Lovin it!, great work. Ooh also,i recommend for filler you use Milliput, as its 2 part, it doesnt go dry while its sat in the drawer, unlike humbrols stuff that already has the hardner mixed in and immediately starts drying when the air gets at it, found that one out the hard way i did.
Superb resto Rob, good choice on the color change, now you have one of each. Would have liked to see how the bad side turned out, good I'm sure, just to appreciate your skills, Stay safe 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻☮️
Wow wow wow. Each one has it's own appeal cannot really decide, the grey an red though seems to have the edge, i know you do not like to make customs with these oldies but it would be nice to see another one done in those colour shifting paints.
Awesome restoration Rob one of your best! In my opinion I like the red and gray the best of the two but both are beautiful restorations! I’m looking forward to seeing more of your barn finds restored
Matchbox Garage yes - I did - remember. I started watching this video wondering if you’d do the red and grey version - I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat when you said it was going to be the rare variant. It looks bloody amazing. I’m itching to get back into restoration of these old toys. The last restoration I personally did was two Dinky Eagle Transporters back in 1997. I really want to start again soon.
Nice Cartranporter you made 👍 with historic correct cars 😊 I hope you park your Cartransporters on your Shelf in this style 😊 i have two cartransporters too but they are newer models one from the 70s and one from the late 80s they are both from Siku and i have those two Trucks on my shelf with some old BMWs from Matchbox ,hotwheels and other on both Trucks 😊
Great restoration, I received this same transporter when I was seven years old. That was over sixty years ago and I still have this today.
When some kid was lucky enough to get one of these as a gift they would certainly have been blown away. The red one is my favorite of the two. Awesome job Rob.
I like the Red & Gray
And once again, Ladies and Gentlemen, Matchbox Garage has delivered! Great job, Rob. Both paint jobs are awesome but I've never seen the red and gray one before.
Big round of applause from my 2.5yo son here. Both look great - Blue one got the nod from him, although I personally liked the red/grey.
I can remember trying to come up with 52 cents to buy a Matchbox car. 55 years later, I still have them.
I received one of those Car Transporters with 4 cars for Christmas one year. It was great and I am sorry to say I don’t remember what happened to it. Red & Gray definitely. Thanks for posting.
3m automotive spot putty works great for filling pits up and doesnt dry out over time.
Amazing, nice job. Blue is nice, red and gray is elegant ... but in the end ....point for blue.
I've got one of these, have been thinking about renovating it for decades, this has inspired me, I'm definatly going to do it... its a Bedford S TYPE and use to come with a tin ramp to load the cars.. got it when I was around 8 or 9, now mid 70s...
I prefer the blue, but you did a wonderful job on this red one. We hope you, your wife and kids, are staying safe too.
All cars are so beautiful! I can't even choose which one I like the most.
Absolutely gorgeous, I can't choose between the two they are both great trucks..
Could be the best caustic suits reaction I've seen on this channel. Love it!
Thanks again for the makeovers! This one is of interest to me in particular as I am trying to restore a tractor trailer / car transporter and trying to figure out to disassemble and remove the paint properly. As usual, fantastic, and thank you!
the red and grey is absolutely as breathtaking as the blue, keep them both!
They both are equally fantastic 👍👍😊
Like the job you do on the diecast cars you restore. The reason why the model filler could be setting off is because of the environment in which it is stored. I had that same problem with some Flex Seal in the can.
the red and the silver gives it a classic beauty
Fantastic job as always Rob, I wouldn’t have believed the transporter could ever have looked that good.
A nice model in its own right, but, also a good platform to show off a few cars in your collection. Really lovely.
Great restoration again!
Beautiful colours and great paintjob, 😎
That chrome grille and bumper breaks that red nicely 😀
I like both of them, but little bit more of red one.
Shiny, shiny, shiny..... they came up great! Nice Rob 👍🏻
That is one hell of a turnaround... Epic...
It's as shiney as a new silver dollar! Looks great in the red and gray. I prefer them BOTH.
Rob, You pulled it off once again, beautiful work. So please you painted it the red and gray. Be safe mate, during these crazy times.
The red and grey looks so 1950s. It's a beautiful scheme.
Really like the red and gray combination color scheme. Both are nice examples. Very nice job
Awesome that you did the one in red - it looks better for sure. And glad you didn't do some custom thing, an exceptional build.
Well done Rob. Another brilliant video to keep us sane in these strange times. The Red cab and Grey transporter gets my vote.
Another fine Job Rob, as has already been said they are both brilliant and both deserve to be in your collection.
Looks great.
The blue keeps it original but the red cab looks amazing.
Keep up the great work.
Fantastic. I love true restoration. This red and grey version is really nice. I like both. The blue and the red and grey. Always a pleasure to watch
Very nice restoration. The cartransporter looks awesome. I can't say which i love the best, or even a bit more than the other. Both are beautiful.
Stunning work! Makes me smile every time.
Most efficient use of the footlong hotdog jar yet. You love to see it
Great job with the Car Transport and the truck that is towing it . 🚛
Hi Rob, great job!!
I agree it's one of my all time fav castings. I like both variants.
Beautiful restoration, Rob!!! I like what you did today, red and gray!!! The blue transporter is beautiful too!! 👍👍👍👍
All of these castings look like they are decent shape with good bones... I'll be anxious to see you work your magic on these...
In decent shape.. Typo.. Fat Fingers.. 😆!
I like the red and gray! That baby just pops! Great job!
Epic transformation! Think the red and grey just edges it. Great work Rob 😉👍
Beautiful restoration on this transporter you got the paint perfect I was looking at mine while watching your video I own both of these transporter and they are mint Job well done Rob and by the way they are my favorite ones as well !

Fantastic job Rob, looks like it just came out of the box, well done
Looks awesome! Well Done! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Fantastic job and the transporter looks great in red and grey.
Gorgeous in the red/grey. Think I prefer the blue, especially with the FB Victor on top, of which I have just finished restoring a real one. Such nice entertainment as always. Thanks.

amazing, very good restoration and the red color looks very elegant.
Very nice job. Glad you did the rare version as a comparison.
FANTASTIC as Always SIR. Most of these I didn't know existed.
Fantastic results awesome transporter and custom work looks brilliant great job cheers KC
Definitely the Red and Grey one the contrast of two colours looks awesome 👌
Brilliant, love them both, love the cars as well.
The Red & grey for me too. What a good job you did on it red. It is now shiny shiny.
Awesome the red ones trailer shines like a star
A FABULOUS restoration job!!... Looks better than it did when it left the Lesney Factory!!.. Keep up the great work bud!!
just awesome! just absolutely awesome!!
I like the red and gray option, wonderful job!
Both very beautiful. Nice to have variety in your hauling fleet
Very nice.
I do like this casting, love the red and grey, really suits it.
Lovely job, lot better than I thought it would turn out, boss job. Like both colours, slightly favour red and grey. 👍
Absolutely amazing job. You make absolutely beautiful restorations. Somehow, you have improved since the plymouth you did for us. I didnt even think it was possible! The plymouth is absolutely beautiful... And this is too.Thank you for making my day everyday
Great job. Love that casting. One of my favorites. Great choice on the red and gray.
Beautiful makeover Rob, my personal preference is the Red and Grey.
That came out beautiful! I'm not sure which one I would say I prefer. I like them both. The blue one just pops, and the red/grey one adds some really nice contrast. I know one thing's for sure, if I was a kid growing up in that time period, I would want that car hauler in the worst possible way. lol
They are both amazing! but really liking the red/grey combo. Keep up the Great work Rob
The blue one, wonderful color!!!
Both are cool looking. The red one pops out with that yellow, I believe Citroen, while the blue looks closer to the period.
Beautiful restoration Rob!
I enjoy both colors, I think I enjoy the blue a little more but the red and grey is also great.
I have that trailer . Never had the truck . Always looking foward to end results of these overhauls .
Hi Rob, great video,to how it was before and after is impressive,it's all original.
Great job Rob. I do like the red and Grey one more than the blue one. The gold and green option (as the people repainted it) would be a nice addition if you get another one.

The black wheels look so much better! 👍🏼
Wow wow wow. Great looking paint job
Excellent choice of colour Rob, looks great 👍👍
Outstanding work rob ,looks amazing, red and grey for me.
They all look incredible
Superb resto Rob, good choice on the color change, now you have one of each. Would have liked to see how the bad side turned out, good I'm sure, just to appreciate your skills, Stay safe 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻☮️
Beautiful job Rob. I like the red and gray one the best but both are very nice
Both of these ate you very, very nice, but I think the red is just that little bit more appealing.
Best Words Fit Accordingly Here Rob!!! So Well Done Just Absolutely Superb, Better Than Mintage Condition, Excellent Thanks For This Work Of Yours!!!
I like both of them! I wish Matchbox made the Car Transporter or any other Convoy Truck in other colors besides Blue back in the old days.
The red and grey looks awesome, great job👍
Wow wow wow. Each one has it's own appeal cannot really decide, the grey an red though seems to have the edge, i know you do not like to make customs with these oldies but it would be nice to see another one done in those colour shifting paints.
Nice job on the small fine details too!!
Absolutely perfect resto Rob. I love both versions!
Now that is just to good , Great job Rob.
OMG BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love the red one just because red is my favorite color, I would love to have that in my collection. Mad skills my friend 👍🏻🔥🤘🏻
Awesome restoration Rob one of your best! In my opinion I like the red and gray the best of the two but both are beautiful restorations! I’m looking forward to seeing more of your barn finds restored
The best of the best Rob. I do have a near mint blue original but yet to get the red one. You really have done a blinding job with this one ☝️
Mark was it you that suggested the red and grey from the unboxing?
Matchbox Garage yes - I did - remember.
