I have a 2021 cement trd off road. Added a Motofab 2” level kit with 265/75/16 Toyo AT IIIs. Love it! Immediately noticed a smoother ride and handling. Improved stance, improved ride, improved handling all for an economical price. Would recommend if you’re like me and only off road on occasion while hunting or fishing.
I want to do also a 2 inch front spacers on my 2016 Tacoma will check those Motofab 2, inch, looked at 2 inch rough country but Motofab are little less , did you have to do an alignment after the kit???????
Did you readjust the headlights? Altering the height of the front end will change the projection of your headlights. With any lift or adjustment you need to make sure the headlights still project properly.
Thanks for posting this video and I really appreciate the discussion. I am a bit of a 4x4 and car collector. Recently, I found got a 08 Tacoma Double Cab SR5 that was a former Halliburton Services truck. The Tacoma is in decent shape and well maintained as I managed to get the records with the truck. It is the kind of truck that is not as fancy as other Tacoma's on the road, but it's also the truck that it doesn't matter if it gets a scratch or a dent when on the trails. I can't justify the high cost of a new one to bang around and have fun with. I really don't want to spend a plethora of money on this truck but I am not happy with the SR5 ride height. It seems that anyone driving a two wheel drive pickup sits at the same height. I bought the 2" spacers off of Amazon and was curious to see what they would look like. Great opportunity to see your truck before I put them on mine. I also, like my pickups to have a raised back end, just personal choice. I bought a 3" inch lift for the back of the truck and plan on installing that as well. I am going to get rid of the gawd awful el cheapo Good Year tires that came on the truck and get some mud terrains from BFG or Toyo. Plate C
I did a 3/2 ReadyLIFT on my 2019 Tundra and had noises here and there. Took it back to the shop several times and they couldn’t figure out the issue. Now I have a 2022 Tacoma and don’t plan on lifting it. But what matters is that you’re happy with the end result.
😂😂😂, I'm exactly on the same situation, I have a 2021 taco and after lift kit and new tires and wheels I'm very unsatisfied with noises, vibrations, dealership don't want to rotate the tires, and ultimate it has a very weird noise on the rear shaft that concerns me a lot, I'm looking for a new truck and definitely will buy something I like the way that it comes from factory
Thats a good option for those not looking to spend big $ on a full suspension upgrade. My current setup is Bilstein 5100s all around with a block in the back. It is a good setup for starters. Now that I have more weight Im looking for something else.
I've heard only good things about the Bilstien 5100s. Your rig looks awesome! Down the road I may consider a lift and new wheels and tires, but leveling it had been a great option for me.
I put a lift kit similar to that on mine and now I get a popping sound when I turn in a sharp radius turn. Also I measured it to be level with my old stock springs. Had the factory recal springs installed and the rear end was about 3/4” to 1” lower. I have a 1 1/2” lift kit for the back that I have yet to install. I hope it sits level when I install them.
Have. 21 taco SR , I gave it a 2 inch spacer lift up front and a 1 inch block in the back. Trimmed the long u bolts prior to installing. Did the work myself with a family member and I am completely satisfied. Replaced the stock steelies and put on TRD off road wheels and tires from a Tacoma TRD. Hello joy plan is to change out the tires for a aggressive 265-75-16. Considering a venom power X/T They seem to have similar pattern as ko2. But with an aggressive sidewall. If anyone has done the tire in a Tacoma let me know your thoughts .
I have a 2023 Tacoma TRD offroad I put the Motofab 2'' leveling kit on now its higher in the front I just ordered a 1'' lift for the back to see if it comes out level.
@@DJXPLRS There's another guy on UA-cam put the 3'' front and 2'' in the back and mine still sits higher and I dont even have a lift on the back and I don't know why. even with his 3'' in the front mine is a tad bit higher with a 2'' its crazy. I dont know if Toyota did something different on the 2023, I had the 3''x2'' lift but sent it back i'm glad I did.
bought my tacoma with the same level up front and it really bothered me that the front was higher. So i switched to bilstein 5100’s all around and went with the 2nd clip, it now sits more level and rides great.
Maybe someone can help? I have a stock 2006 Tacoma TRD Prerunner 2WD. The shocks are bad and I will be replacing them. Do I need to replace the strut springs or can I use the old ones? Also, What shocks do you recommend for the truck" I am thinking about getting the Bilstein 4600's. If I want to raise the front level Should I use the 5100's? Also, where did you get your seat covers?
The front end of the Tacoma sits slightly lower than the backend. So a leveling kit sorta "levels" that out by just lifting the front. How close to level really depends on the spacers used. To me, mine looks and feels level even if it's slightly off.
Did you readjust your headlights after the leveling kit? When I had leveled my previous trucks (2017 f250 & 2014 ram 1500) I needed to on both. Curious as I just got a tacoma and thinking of doing a 2.5 level on mine. Front sits 37.5" off the ground and rear at 41.7"..
Hey what's going on guy I did also the same thing as you put the 2-in level kit in the front immediately installed I did not like it because now the front was higher than the back I was expecting it to be all equaled out I did the job myself have some experience on Mechanic wasn't hard to do anyway but I did not like the results that the front now was higher than the back the reason why I'm doing this because I am putting some bigger Wheels and I don't want to lift kit on it but a little kid I was okay with but now from the results I have to put a inch Block in the rear so it Go lift up so I could be equal I'm hoping that will resolve my issue with my Tacoma but yeah I was still recommend whoever wants to do it just let them know that I guess it doesn't happen to everybody I don't know it depends on the vehicle how the shock works or all the above but I'm going to order them soon the one inch rear block so it will be level hopefully that resolve my problem
@@duvalpenny100 wrong it’s NEVER shown . The last two seconds it’s shown but covered by 3 ads and next video to watch pasted on the truck . It’s a waste of time and made zero sense to not ever show the truck fully

Not yet. Been doing some testing and not seeing all that much difference so far.

what does a block in the back mean?
@@DJXPLRS the 2015 TRD sport Taco comes with Bilstein shocks too. Do you know if they are 5100 or 4600?
@@b-lew777 its a steel block that is placed under the leaf springs to give height and level out the truck with the 2" lift in the front.

5100 all around with 887 ome 2" springs and 1.5" icon aal with 33"s pizza cutter and I'm pretty happy with
I've heard 5100's are great.
It needs a 1” rear lift. I went with 2” front 1” rear spacers.
Nice! Did that make it level?
I did 2in front an 1.5in in the back, and 265 75r16 wrangler duratracs.. makes the truck look way more aggressive!! 👌🤌

2” leveling kit gives the Tacoma that perfect stance with great ride quality.
Yes it does!
2" he said makes the front higher correct? If so that sucks

How many overload springs you got
Can you tell just by looking at it that its a 1/4 taller in front or just from the measuring tape shows its tsller ? Hope that makes since
Thanks I was thinking to do the 2" level but I don't like my front looking higher in the front at all
Gotta like how it looks and how it feels when you drive.
Can you add a link to the leveling kit you purchased. I want to do the same to my Tacoma - thank you
I got it done at the local Les Shuab Tires
I have a 21 TRD sport wanting to level it out what brand is this 2” front kit?
It's just spacers from my local Les Shuab tires.
I thought you said you where going to find flat level ground and measure it?
I did say that. I owe you that measurement still.

Wow, beautiful truck! I was so close to buying a black OR!
Thanks. I live along the Rocky Mountains so I wanted the OR for snow and other adventures.
Any issues with the TSS or anything? I’m looking to do this but makes me nervous because of that lol
None whatsoever. It's just lifting the front and the TSS has been working flawlessly.
I put shorter but wider tires and it made the tss unbearable. I had to disconnect the radar

That's above my experience level
have you had any problems with other suspension parts from installing the lift kit.
I haven't noticed any problems
Nice video man! Good information too
Thanks for the support!
Does it use more gas now compared to stock ?
I haven't noticed a difference. I'm running stock tires and wheels still. My guess, that will impact it far more than the leaving kit.
Did you have any issues with the tss ?
None whatsoever
I don’t get it why do they call it a leveling kit if you say the front end is higher now it’s still not level. ?

I didn't. The 2" Leveling Kit lifts it, what's feels like, less than 2". So I didn't notice anything needing to be adjusted.

Leveling kit certainty isn't the most accurate term. It ever so slightly lifts the front higher than the back
What kinda lift is it
Just a 2" spacing block
Link of the leveling kit?
Just got it from my local tire and auto shop
Did you do a dif drop on this?
No
