@@allthemani852 I did the front in about 2 hours and the rear took about 1 hour. It can definitely be done faster but I took my time( and several beer breaks)
Just watching as a refresher, i have a 2016 sr5 2wd. Ilbought it used woth a 2” spacer and upgrading it next week to a 3” loaded strut for a inch more height and a better ride. Im not putting bigger tires on it anytime soon. Great video! Love browsing yalls site and all the open box and clearance items! Never know what ya need till ya see it 🙂↕️😉
Getting ready to do mine and have a few thoughts. How often does the tie rod end release without any downward force? 🤔 Would the top ball joint have released without the pry bar that magically appearing? There is no such thing as a 19mm Crescent but we know what you meant. 😊 Are torque specs important on the upper ball joint and tie rod end castle nuts? And any of the other fasteners for that matter?
why wasn’t the part of the sway bar disconnection included? that was a big part and wasted a lot of time moving that when it should’ve been included. Not cool.
I have this kit on my truck came with it when I bought I recently bought some wheels that are 35x12.5x17 would they work ? I know I would have to do a cab mount relocation
As soon as you stop listening to the keyboard warriors on your forums, you’ll realize just how little is required for a lift, and you’ll realize that 60% of the crap they sell you is unnecessary.
But all your doing is taking away down travel ,seems inefficient, how do you make the axles level? Is this just a lift for duochbags? If I’m wrong please lat me know
@@jeffkowalski3107sorry, i know this is an older comment. But in case you were curious they do may front dif drop spacers so they sit level again, usually it’s needed when doing the 3.5” and greater lifts. But it’s likely anyone doing these strut spacers is doing it just for show and not intended for trails or real 4wd usage.
We were physically able to mount up 35s, but there was some rubbing on the front bumper. You would have to do some modifications to get rid of the rubbing.
@@ExtremeTerrainToyota I was being sarcastic but thank you for the replying 😁... If I didn't do my own work, my dad (rest in peace) would be disappointed in me 😉... Video was very helpful 😉
35's with this set up would most likely rub and you would need to do some modifications. It would all depend on the set up though including the tire/wheel width and offset as well as the "agressiveness" of the tread. Hope this helps!
@tommyliu7634 I would like to know also.......I already have the kit he is showing AND the 33's but don't want to get them mounted on my rims yet if I need to do a CMC
I didn’t buy this specific kit but the same size from another company. What’s the issue you’re having with adding 33s? Haven’t installed the lift yet so I’m curious what problem you ran into
Are there any other upgrades you’d recommend to go along with this install to help keep the longevity of your Tacoma and make sure than you’re not spending $$$ later in repairs? @extremeterrain

Very clear demo brother… now i can install my 3” lifting kit by my self w/out spending money to the shop… thanks for a very clear vedeo…

Great video and instructions. Thank you. I'm in the garage now watching this while I install.

Hey. I’m about to do this in a few days, about how long did the install take?

@@robertshollar7993 perfect. My install process will consist of the same break schedule hahaha
Thanks much. Minus a few tweeks, because of my own ignorance, this was most helpful. Mission complete.

Have you had or noticed any issues since putting on?
@brookebrawley2142 . Yes, much better handling and turning. Very happy. About a month back took off swaybar, again even better ride.

Nice video thanks. But no diff drop? Or don’t need it.
I am curious how this kit will effect the ride and handling?

Those U bolt nuts don’t need a specific lbs of torque on them?
This is an EXCELLENT video! Thank you very much!😊

18:00 I’m not sure how you got it so smoothly in when mine are about 3 inches apart from each other.
I'm wondering how this lift kit might affect the front radar on the truck.

I have a question just using the spacer lift on the front does it not mess up the front in, in the long run of driving??
Kick ass video, very helpful!
Thanks for watching! -Zach
Does this put any extra wear and tear on front end parts?
How so if so?
Thanks
1 question why does everyone else in other videos loosen the lower control arm ??
very good and thorough friend. Well done!

What about Diff drop and new control arms? 3" rule on tacoma. Geometry must be a little wonky after that backyard lift job.

I'm doing it so I can fit 33's. truck as it sits just has too small of a tire.
Your still only taking away down travel putting your axles at a bad angle on purpose?doesn’t seem sensible

This kit doesn't come with the differential and skid spacers. How much difference do those make since they are included in other 3-2 kits.
This may be a stupid question. I have to do this in my driveway. Can I do this one wheel at a time instead of lifting the whole front end?
Same here. In order to move the sway bar yes you will have to have both sides on jack stands
Thanks for the video, very helpful!!!!

is 3 inch ok to use or will it be too hard of a ride?
torque specs ?
how tall is it from the fender to the ground after the install in the front and the rear
Is this kit still available? I am having trouble ordering this from the website.

Could I fit 33’s on 26inch rims with -81 offset?
Anyone know if this voids the Warranty on a new truck?
Usually it does
@@MarsL5656 no it fucking doesn't
Don’t you need longer rear shocks?
They are not required but to maintain your travel and performance in the back a longer shock is recommended.
I was thinking about getting a new suspension but 5k id rather get a Supercharger
Will this fit my 2007 Toyota fortuner 4D4 diesel in the Philippines.
This is only rated to fit 2005+ Tacomas. Sorry about that!
Did you upgrade your UCA with this set up?
We did not when installing this kit, but you could for sure to improve the handling of your truck! -Zach
Did you do diff drop and sway bar with this set up?
Man the rust is brutal
The sway bar long bar or what ever is call is in the freaking way for my 2021. Video is not accurate for 2021 models

If I bought 2in shocks lift for the front of my Tacoma in the past am I still able to run the 3 and 2
You may have limited shock travel compared to a longer one, but if you don't mind being mildly limited then you should be fine.
That’s not 3 inch front, I busted Men show measured tape it’s 1.5 inches on front. I knew it!
The coil springs change their resistance depending on how far they are compressed. A 1.5" spacer may very well result in more than a 1.5" lift.
Would it fit if it’s only 2wd?
Yeah it fits 6 lug models
Does this also include the needle bearing replacement on the 3rd gen tacomas??
IF YOUR READING THIS GO AHEAD AND BUY SPACERS NOW BC YOU CANT FIT ANY WHEELS UNLESS YOU HAVE AFTERMARKET UPPER CONTROL ARMS
👍
