Hey everyone...Sorry I had to delete the previous video due to a copyright music which I didn't realized. So this is the updated video with a bit more informations regarding the campgrounds I've stayed at each locations. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks
Nice video, you have really given me the itch to get out into the wilderness. My wife and I typically spend a week up in the coastal redwoods every fall but unfortunately haven’t made it back in a few years, but in a couple months in early December we are taking a trip. We will be driving up to visit my brother near Mt Lassen, then driving to Washington to visit my brother in law and his family, then visiting a friend in Oregon on the way home, but then we’re planning on spending a few days in the coastal redwoods and I can’t wait. I’m sixty now and have bad knees so tent camping is in my rear view mirror these days but when we go there these days we typically stay at a campground called Redwood River Resort and they have a few rustic cabins in the camp ground and in off season we’re typically the only ones using them which is nice. In a couple years when we’re both retired we plan on getting a small tear drop trailer or something similar so we can start getting back out there a lot more often.
That sounds like an amazing trip. We love taking roadtrip like this too. We love to see as much outdoors as we can when we go on these roadtrips. I think in the future a teardrop trailer is what we like to have for comfort.
One of my first time camping as a young kid is the Big Sur state park...I wanted to included that as well but I don't have a lot of footages of the area unfortunately. We haven't been back for awhile
Basically there area a few spots that are designated as a disperse camping spot...usually these have a yellow post next to them. For us we usually drive around and find a flat surface that looks like it's been used before and we would camp there. But you can find more information on the San Bernardino national forest website or call the directly to talk to a ranger.
I really like the easy pop up design and the size it's really nice. Only negative is when it's windy. the sides tend to pop in unless you stake them down really well.
Can you please name the name of the lakes? We’re trying to find out so we can go camping in one of those beautiful places but we can’t find them thank you in advance
@@Michael_Tran when you get up there it feels like your in the Sierras and get a map at front country ranger station of camp cites and miles from station 👍
Been wanting to go to yellow post sites and offroad trails in big bear but since it's snowing everything seems closed up there. How do you find trails or areas to dispersed camp if the whole mountain is closed? Any spots I can check out?
Unfortunately yea..most of the mountain trails in SoCal are closed but the desert are all open. I recommend Anza for dispersed campsite or if you're willing to go a bit further Death Valley NP. I normally call the Ranger directly to get infos but after many years I have an idea of areas and rules so it's kinda something you develop as you get into camping more, knowing where and when to camp.
I should've added that one too...it's one of my first area I've camp at when I was younger. Unfortunately I don't have too much content on it to added to the list...maybe in the future ill camp there once again and get some cool footages of that area and along the 1 highway
Ever since homelessness has been hitting the US hard. I find camping less desirable now for some reason. Feels like I’m just acting homeless in the woods
😂😂😂 he cant cover places he hasnt been too. Thats like me asking you to review 100 beers but out of those 100 youve only tatsed 20...you cant leavea review for what u havent tried..
Rename 7 best camping in your opinion. It's mostly National Park camping area, any tourist would find it. You are mostly So Cal and have no idea of Northern CA, like Lake Tahoe, Lassen Volcanic National Park and with a 4x4 you haven been to Jackson Meadow and Bowman Lake. So best places only you been to. Not best in CA.
I said it in the video that's it's my opinion. California is a big state and im in SoCal so naturally it's an area I explore more. If you want to make your own video with your own opinion of beautiful areas to camp in california go for it man.
Sold out your favorite places for likes hope you like noise, trash, overcrowding as you tell people how to ruin your experience. Not you alone could do that it’s already too late, it’s all trashed, overcrowded, ruined, especially in California. You did mention certain places no ones goes because of the harsh environment but you catch my drift. If you have a favorite place keep it to yourself or kiss it goodbye.
Wow...that's a lot of negativity man. There's places I've camp at that I haven't mentioned to social media at all....plus all these places are super well known. It's not like it's that hard to find. The reason I made the video was to help new ones to know where to camp and what to see just like I was helped when I was younger by older generations. I've come to really appreciate nature and try my best to levant it better than I found it. If we can encourage that kinda of positivity in the new generations I think that's the best thing for the outdoors
You forgot to mention Memorial Park in Loma Mar near Pescadero that place is a gem & I would highly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already 🏕️
@@Michael_Tran yeah I’ve been camping most of my life my dad started taking me camping when I was 5yrs old (1975) but I’ve never been to memorial park till last week my buddy told me when he was a kid they went there for school camp
Prices changes over time and I didn't want to include prices since some of them have different prices depends on group size as well. But it's not hard to find all the prices on recreation.gov

I have a 2011 Tacoma but never gone camping yet. nice videos, thanks! watching from Chino Hills, ca
No problem...glad it was helpful
If you like the coastal redwoods or just the beach ocean, Big Sur is a great spot. It kinda combines all of the spots shown in this video.
One of my first time camping as a young kid is the Big Sur state park...I wanted to included that as well but I don't have a lot of footages of the area unfortunately. We haven't been back for awhile
True but just like most of CA. the sites are always booked.
Great list! Glad i was able to camp at Yosemite a very long time ago. Way too crowded these days! Much prefer Sequoia and Kings Canyon
I agree...I want to go explore more back country trail in Kings Canyon
Nice spread. Chill style. Many happy trail to you.
Thank you...you too
Awesome video man, looks like a great trip
When you coming to California Spencer...ill have to take you on these overlanding areas.
Thank you, this is absolutely wonderful
Glad it was helpful
Great video! Where in Sequoia are these waterfalls and small lakes you showed in the video? I'd love to visit them!
Thank you...it's actually in the Kings Canyon NP...it's right off the road hard not to miss it.
Thanks for sharing !
It would be more helpful , if you could show those on a map !
Thanks for sharing, this is awesome.
No problem...hopefully it was insightful and helpful
We have been following your UA-cam channel, and we are enjoying every bit of it. Thanks Again

Any chance you could give me some more info on the dispersed camping in Big Bear ? Do you typically go to a campground or find a spot ?

Bro just say the spot that was in the video. Could’ve been an easy and helpful answer.
Outdated and random question. How is Gazelle tent? Im thinking about it and love to raw opinion! Would you recommend to buy?

Which lakes camping area?
What was the last camp area you showed on this video?
The last area is the Eastern Sierras mountains which is a very long stretch of area.
nice list.
Ever been to lytle creek yellow post camping Stockton flats 👍
Yea but haven't camp there...we live pretty close to it so it doesn't feel like we're getting away when camping there lol

I've personally haven't camp there but I've heard its great for off roading too
@@Michael_Tran I camped there a few years back and it gets active with offroaders and atv's at night lol u can see lights everywhere.
@@boostedgusgus2313 That's what I've heard...great off roading trails there
Can you drop the location for big bear?
Which one? There's a few I've been too...you can find them on Holcomb valley road and skyline divide
@@Michael_Tran is there a trail in which you can car camp in big bear? Can you provide a list?
Whats the name of the campground in the eastern sierras?
There was a few...what's the timeline?

@@rlrl79 The snow one? It's a disperse camping spot along the trail. Not a specific campground.
Nice job on your video. To many people in SOCAL . USE TO HAVE A SPECIAL SPOT IN THE Sequoia. Sadly not so special now. People have ruined the area.
Camp in Oakland
Very well done!!
Big Sur State Park.

Thanks bro!
Knew you viet when I heard the accent lol👍
Sequoia, Lodgepole was the worst
Thanks a lot of people don't want to share these locations 👍
The best place to camp that is free is Union Square in San Francisco. All you have to do is say you are homeless.
😂
Hahahahahahaha
Being a jerk must feel amazing. Keep up the good job, hope you’re being paid well.
Living in NorCal…All places I avoid when camping
