Love this! 🔥Thanks for sharing! So glad to be a part of your camping kit! Note: our new bugaboo cook kits are ceramic and not teflon anymore! Happy camping!
Hahaha, you’re like me, bringing lots of things. I mostly tent camp solo but in the occasions when others have joined me sometimes they comment “why do bring so much crap”? Well that “ crap” have saved me many times when the weather changes or other instances when I’m comfy but the others aren’t, lol. By the way I absolutely love GSI, I have same cooking set and many of their products.
@@carmenmartinez2882 We enjoy variety too. So some trips depending on location we can bring different items. If we have friends with is we try new things like food or whatever.
I have an idea that may keep your eggs from sticking to the cast iron pan....set a small pan in it and add butter plus enough water to just cover the bottom of the small pan and the eggs are not poached but steam enough to keep them from sticking to the bottom. I've used this method with mini pans at home it works. Parchment paper works too if your cast iron doesn't get over 400° and helps with cleanup too😊
Another tip when camping with eggs look for farm fresh lightly washed eggs they'll store for weeks before going bad. Store bought eggs wash off a thin film on the egg that preserves the egg
Did I see a window on your oven . Is it a Coleman also . Our doesn't have the window. Bet that makes it easier. Recently spent two weeks in Colorado camping . It was wonderful.
The oven is from modern innovations a brand I found on Amazon. The window is nice, but can be dirty. We have been using it a lot this summer. Trying different Items too.
@jaystus i like and bought the newer Coleman propane lantern for it's simplicity and the tied on mantles were terrible then. The propane mantles are clipped on for ease of replacement. In the 60's the Coleman cans of white unleaded gas were getting to double if not triple the cost of leaded gas. $5/gal when leaded gas at a station was less than $1.
@@rgruenhaus you are so right! I have both propane and white gas Colman lanterns. The propane ones are easy and work well. I do have a whole shelf of red and green “vintage” Coleman lanterns, that I do like to take with me on some trips. They are cool, but it’s 12 a gallon for Colman fuel.
If food is sticking to your cast iron or stainless steel. It means the pan is not hot enough to fry on yet. If you Sprinkle a little bit of water in the pan it should dance and not evaporate quickly.

True camp together is an oldie but a goodie. We had those when I was a kid, and my parents when they were kids.
Wonderful

Eggs will only stick if the pan is not seasoned properly or if your not heating up the pan enough prior to putting the eggs in.
