I’m making my first trip to Yosemite in May this year and by far this video is the most well explained and researched I’ve found. Thank you so much for the ton of information, tips and beautiful footage of this National Park. Once you said this is your favorite National Park out of all the them, I knew this video will be great.
This is the most logical, understandable, informative guideline a newcomer to Yosemite can get. I did spend many hours of research until I fortunately found your post, what a change! It helped me put together our 2 full days plan for this early May. Thank you very much. Your systematic, to-the-point animated information are comprehensive, invaluable!
It has been 25 years since I had last visited Yosemite Park. I still remember it like it was last year. We spend 3 days there. Finished last day at the sequoia and have photos of it. I had hiked the Mist trail up to the Nevada Falls. I was going to continue to Glacier Point, but people along the route were saying the route was close due to an emergency situation and others saying there was training going on.
Fantastic video! I love how you paint the map to show perspective and relation to places. You should do many more videos - one of the more interesting presenters I've seen. Good job.

I personally have not tried the stargazing tour through YC! I did live in Yosemite Valley for a college internship program many years ago, and the stars/waterfalls were spectacular to see at night. We even saw a moonbow (rainbow from moonlight at a waterfall). So I would imagine the tour is great!
😮 there are bears out there 😂. I wish I were there to do trail and hiking 🥾 😊❤ so beautiful 🤩. I have been Grand Canyon, But I have never been in Yosemite . Indeed, stunning. Very informative. Heading there for 4 days in October. First - and very likely only - time. Many of your 15 is already in my plan. I’m a little old for some of the items. :)
Glad it was helpful! Have an incredible time in Yosemite! I love visiting in August! There usually are fewer American visitors/fewer children and more European visitors in mid-late August than in earlier summer months.
1st, nice vid 2nd, There are a lot of things to do at Josemite valley, however the drive in (~80 mins from the South entrance + anywhere from 15 - 80 mins wait time to pass the entrance gate) would mean you need to plan it day. No problem if ur party r adventurous adults, however if u have non-adventurous teenagers, or pre-teen, then it's become a sight seeing activity.
Thanks for your comment! Typically the lines to enter the NP are very short if you get there before 8AM! Lines at the entrance fee stations can have the longest wait times between 10AM and 2PM typically. I agree- I do recommend planning your days out before your trip!
