- Turmeric Benefits - Why You Should Take Turmeric Powder?
This video covers the history of turmeric, its health benefits, and side effects. Studies suggest turmeric for cancer prevention and treatment, treating diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, and many other inflammatory diseases. Turmeric has been used for medicinal and cooking purposes since ancient India and was a spice that Marco Polo marveled at during their travels. But there are many other cuisines besides Indian food; you can add turmeric, too. A pinch of turmeric powder can also be added to salsa, taco, and pasta sauce.

The US FDA has approved turmeric as generally recognized as safe, and some research indicates between 500mg and 2000mg of turmeric may be effective and safe. However, some side effects include stomach discomfort and allergic dermatitis with high doses of turmeric.

Turmeric is also great for the skin. It's a natural skin brightener and has antiseptic qualities too. A great face mask is a little turmeric mixed with chick pea powder, a teaspoon of raw honey, and a little bit of milk. Apply the paste on your face and leave to dry for 10-15 minutes, then wash off with warm water. It's a little tough to wash off but has great results!
Thanks for this tip!

Dr. Yo which kind of turmeric supplement has the most anticancer properties?
Anywhere from 500-2000mg of tumeric has been suggested as an effective daily dose.
@@DoctorYogendra Thank you!
Turmeric only goes good with orange juice. That's it. It's a very limited spice.
You said turmeric is the main ingredient in curry. What else makes up curry?
Curry powder includes turmeric, chilli powder, ground coriander seeds, cumin, dried ginger and pepper. Different regions of India use different amounts of each spice to get the desired flavoring and taste. Turmeric as I mentioned in the video gives curry the yellow color and anti-inflammatory properties.
