Edward Branca - thanks for sharing. Millions of Americans like you are happy with the treatment and care they get from Medicare and Medicaid. Programs like Medicare have actually set the standard not only in the payment reimbursements but also the healthcare quality. The Affordable Care Act in 2010 also had initiatives like CMMI and Value based payment (VBP) that are slowly transitioning our healthcare system.
@@edwardbranca54 I work in a dangerous field with great insurance and I have a second insurance through my dad who has a great plan as well. Even after both insurances are used I still owe $2,000 from a $6,000 bill (all they did was give me x rays on my foot and give me an air cast). I am UNHAPPY with the system.
My health insurance through my company is only $40 per month pretax for premium in PPO network, 10% coinsurance, $1000 deductible with $2000 out of packet maximum. It comes with first $500 HRA for all medical and prescription. The remaining gap I pay with my own FSA which I split between medical and dental. I had privilege to use medical services once in Mexico and Hong Kong during my travel. Very modern facilities and efficient care and low cost compared to the US despite not having insurance and getting care at private hospitals.
Another thing Obama Care did was force individuals who chose to be healthy to subsidize those who don't. Those that invest in their own health with gym memberships and time to use them, organic healthy food, essential nutrients, stress management, etc. in the long run are also footing the bill for those that do not make that investment in themselves. People with skin in the game are more likely to make better lifestyle decisions. Better decisions lead to better health. Better health leads to lower healthcare expenditures and a better quality of life. We can't medicate or "treat" our way of maladies we behaved our way into.
Where do you get your health insurance from and are you happy with your health insurance coverage?
I am disabled, and my healthcare is funded by Medicare and Medicaid. I am very pleased and happy with my coverage and with my care.

My employer and it sucks.
Hello, would you mind elaborating on that? Do they not cover enough benefits?
@@modernprague3266 have to pay for like $3000 out of pocket before they will pay anything and have to reach $6500 before they will pay 100%.
@@samuelgonzalez1905 Oh, what if you get an inidependent insurance? In the long run wouldnt it be feasible?
@@samuelgonzalez1905 For example like a no deductible insurance plan?
