My 36mm CW12 arrived this morning, it’s in Nordic Blue. It is a truly beautiful watch to behold, I have a 280mm(7.25ins) wrist but are now into smaller watches and it looks the business. I’m a biker and find that my larger watches are a bit to clunky with motorbike jacket and cloves on. Running at +8secs on my timegrapher but on the wrist appears to be spot on.
I would love for them to more widely adopt the SW300-1. It is a very big step up not only in thickness, but especially in regards to the power reserve. I was a little disappointed that they did not have one of those for the small lineup

Great to see your enthusiasm, I hope they give you a free watch 😁. I was looking forward to this watch for a while. Having seen the announcement yesterday, I feel very let down - no colour matched date wheel, no Ti option, no Ti dial options AND no COSC movement option. It feels like they are punishing smaller wrist people by rushing out a crappier version of the full watch that is only available at 40mm. Surprised if you don't have issues with it on that front but I prefer to get the Tissot PRX 35 since they have managed to offer the full experience at a smaller size! I can't express how gutted I am by this from CW!
Looks great to me and as a small wrist chap, I’d be more interested in this than the 40mm. Extra marks for use of “wanky” which was a staple in conversations between a former work colleague and myself! Highly descriptive when used in the appropriate context! And, Brit, you need to review the new Tonneau range from Farer! They also look excellent 👌
Right?! As a fellow small wrist folk, I just think the proportions are sooo much nicer with this size! Bahaha and it's important that people know that you know that you are being wanky hahaha ;) We're all w@nkers sometimes! ;)
@@BrittPearceWatches my largest watch is 42mm…you can probably guess which! But, I’m much more comfortable in the 38-40mm range. And I’d have no problem at all wearing a 36mm (I have a 34mm Constellation my wife gave me for our engagement!), especially as the integrated bracelet will make this Twelve wear slightly larger. And, as for “wanky”, as the great Billy Connolly once said: “People think swearing is the sign of a limited vocabulary. That’s nonsense. I know at least 126 words. I just prefer “f***” to the other 125!” Please do get onto Farer. I went to visit them when I bought by Crooms II GMT. Lovely people to deal with and they’re doing great things.
You're lucky that their shipping service successfully delivered it to you. I went through a horror story getting my dartmouth from them. Not too mention CW doesn't want to be accountable for their shipping service's issues.
What’s with the rubber strap? In every wrist shot all o focus on is the excess strap sticking right out. On you and watch papis wrist. Is it supposed to be cut to fit and obviously you can’t with a borrowed watch.
I’m a fan of the 12. It’s my favorite affordable integrated. Where before I didn’t have a favorite at the affordable end of the market, as I’m not a fan of the PRX. Or other similar watches in this category. Now that there’s 40 and 36mm versions of the 12. I’d like to see a 38mm variant. But thats likely not going to happen 🤷♂️
I have only two issues with this otherwise good looking watch - the dodecagon bezel and the price, which after the government takes its pound of flesh and DHL adds its brokerage fees, is pushing $2K CDN. I'll be sticking with my 35mm quartz PRX.
Hello Britt and everyone, I dropped my dreams of a pre owned Grand Seiko (for now). What do you think about the 36mm Christopher Ward 12 verse..... the CitizenNB1060-12L ? Any input, even if you have never personally seen the citizen, would be great. Thanks
And still, theres a gap in the affordable Genta inspired market. Where are the 37-38mm? Other than Maen and perhaps a few other super-micros. Closest might be Formex Essence 39..IMO a strong competitor here with COSC, micro-adjust, and the best strap clasp in the market.
I'm french, I don't understand all what you say but perhapse 50% ! I love CW and it's been a long time I want to buy a CW ! I confess the green one with the rubber is nice ! I love the C65 sandhurst bronze too ! So I have to make a choice...😛 I wish my english is good enough ! Thanks !
Britt, how is the quality of the movement, and how accurate is it per day? The inner movement is just as important as the cosmetic look and feel of a watch. I have so many nice-looking, big name brand watches that lose way too many seconds a day and nothing is more frustrating that readjusting the time every few days. Is it possible for you to talk about accuracy too, in your reviews? Greatly appreciate what you do!
I'm a bit torn. A date window is something I find useful for both work and some hobbies so anything without one is largely relegated to only being a weekend watch. But 36 mm would be a safer bet on my wrist than the 40mm with a 6 inch-ish wrist. I recently tried on a 40 mm PRX and it just did not sit well on me. But the Twelve looks like it has a lot more flex on those end links so it might still work on me. The Large Santos de Cartier (in blue) works on me after all. Sadly, being in the US means I can't just try one on in a store. Unrelated: I LOVE the linen shirt on Editing Brittney. The texture is really visible and gives it character in a way I wish my denim blue linen shirt did.
I find it so beautiful in these proportions. I have a 42mm Breitling that wears wonderful but when I tried on the 40mm PRX it felt huge. I bought my Wife a 35mm PRX and it wears fantastic, I would really like to buy this but I've come to rely on a date window so hopefully they will release a version in the future with a date.
I tried the 40mm PRX too and also felt like it was huge. I decided to buy the 40mm 'Twelve' anyway, because I heard in several reviews it wears smaller than the PRX and I totally agree. It's absolutely perfect for my 18.5cm wrist (7.3"), so no regrets whatsoever.

The only change I would make is to have a shorter strap as standard. If the majority of customers are going to have smaller wrists then a strap sized for an 8" wrist is silly. The long strap looks silly on your wrist (11:00 - 11:20)
Britt, incorporate a lume shot and that would be your 12. I like that they have made the hour hand arrow head base slimmer. I would like to see a COSC cert. for the price. 28800 BR vs Powermatic80 21600.
It is quite an interesting watch with all the details! The 40mm might offer more with in the titanium version with the chronometer movement. Just need to try it out if it works on my wrist, lug to lug and all that. - Yes a designer from Audi once went to Kia and one could see his hand in the designs he did for them initially
Yes, I think the titanium offering does give the 40mm quite the end - case material AND experimenting with the really accuracy COSC certified movement! I think that is something insanely special from CW! I just wish it aesthetically looked better on me! :( DANG THESE SMALL WRISTS!
As for me, I just bought a Marine Nationale Pelagos😛 (Pre-owned prices for unworn condition examples have zonked right down to around retail price. Happy days! And may it extend to more and more of the watches where ADs have been doing the "waitlist p-take routine"...
@@BrittPearceWatches The one I'm getting is year 23 - unworn and still partly stickered up, nearly all of the warranty still remaining.
And, as for “wanky”, as the great Billy Connolly once said:
“People think swearing is the sign of a limited vocabulary. That’s nonsense. I know at least 126 words. I just prefer “f***” to the other 125!”
Please do get onto Farer.
No, it's just a medium length strap and I have absurdly tiny wrists!! ^_^ I always need straps in small or extra small!
I love the Twelve Ti and I’m getting the purple one for my precious daughter’s wedding ✊
CW The twelve or Tudor Royal? what is your opinion and which would you buy?
I’m a fan of the 12. It’s my favorite affordable integrated. Where before I didn’t have a favorite at the affordable end of the market, as I’m not a fan of the PRX. Or other similar watches in this category. Now that there’s 40 and 36mm versions of the 12. I’d like to see a 38mm variant. But thats likely not going to happen 🤷♂️
surely will be an instant blast
...damn it, I'm a sucker for pastel green/blues.
Right?! Me to!
Best use of the phrase “wanky” I’ve heard in ages, only improved by the transatlantic accent too.
Also, cool watch.
My all time rebellion in watch world will be to reject any integrated bracelet watch....but damn I love this so muchhh....
Bahaha I love this! But I gotta say.... This one won me over too!!
Thanks
Wow a scoop! I just saw that this released and heres a video about it
Right?! This literally never happens for me hahaha! Sooo excited CW gave me early access to this!
Does it fit your wrist well even with the integrated bracelet? Am looking to get one as well and my wrist size is similar to yours.
Sounds like a PR audition to me :-)
So cynical 😂
Love Christopher Ward!
I own the ice blue prx and I honestly see the twelve as a step above and worth the extra coin.
Would have loved if you touched on the movement's accuracy. On paper it states +/- 20s a day but is it really that bad?
I also love this watch! Thanks for this video!👋
Ahhh thank you so much! I am so glad you enjoyed!
EXACTLY THIS! Take my money!
R I G H T?!
Beautiful as well as the bigger brother (that I own 😅). Also the new light green color looks great
How great are the new colours?! That green specifically, I feel like it is going to be a HIT!
Come on guys! Britt deserves to have way more subs than Oisin!
Gringa Thursday 🎉
Great video Brit. Where can a Tissot PRX owner actually try one of these beauties on
Ahh thank you so much!! I'm so glad you enjoyed! As for CW, the trick is always trying one on. They only sell online -.- SOOOO...... Redbar? haha
Heard it first on this amazing channel ! Gringa rules the UA-cam watch world 💪
RENE IS HERE!!!
@@BrittPearceWatches you aren’t lucky , CW is smart 😇. A free of charge advise: in order to serve your European fans .. please also mention the price in Euro !
Let’s make this channel even greater ❤️
Great vlog
I prefer the looks on the CW, but the PRX has a better movement and more competitive price. So it's PRX for me.
I’m not sure on that, it can’t be regulated and they don’t service it, just replace the whole thing, also has plastic parts 🤷🏻
I hope they introduce a purple titanium in 36mm.
What are the hands and indices made from on the ice dial version?
Love the explanation of the new CW logo … did not know this … love it!
Ahhh no way!!! YES! It’s called the “twin flag” logo! :) so it’s the English flag and Swiss. Which is cool! I thought it looked like a pixel or something for so long! 😅
cool, but i prefer PRX with powermatic 80
The only change I would make is to have a shorter strap as standard. If the majority of customers are going to have smaller wrists then a strap sized for an 8" wrist is silly. The long strap looks silly on your wrist (11:00 - 11:20)
Britt, incorporate a lume shot and that would be your 12. I like that they have made the hour hand arrow head base slimmer. I would like to see a COSC cert. for the price. 28800 BR vs Powermatic80 21600.
YOU KNOOOOW THIS IS BRILLIANT! And this is my greatest channel downfall.... WHY DON'T I EVER HAVE A LUME SHOT?! THIS NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED!
It's great to see some new dials out there instead of the same old crap that the big players put out year after year. Props to CW.
PRX and tissot is an easy choice here at half the price and the history the brand carries.
Way too big for many people
Less than half the watch.
It is quite an interesting watch with all the details! The 40mm might offer more with in the titanium version with the chronometer movement. Just need to try it out if it works on my wrist, lug to lug and all that. - Yes a designer from Audi once went to Kia and one could see his hand in the designs he did for them initially
The titanium 40 is great but it has no scratch protection making it a big no for me
Yes, I think the titanium offering does give the 40mm quite the end - case material AND experimenting with the really accuracy COSC certified movement! I think that is something insanely special from CW! I just wish it aesthetically looked better on me! :( DANG THESE SMALL WRISTS!
Smashing! I'm not an integrated band guy - but that is a sharp watch. I'd have to go 40mm as I NEED the date in my life ;> Thanks Britt.
As for me, I just bought a Marine Nationale Pelagos😛
(Pre-owned prices for unworn condition examples have zonked right down to around retail price. Happy days! And may it extend to more and more of the watches where ADs have been doing the "waitlist p-take routine"...
ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!!! FANTASTIC CHOICE!! MN21?!My husband was able to get the MN22 AND HE BLOODY LOVES IT! But he didn't get a juicy deal like you did!!
@@BrittPearceWatches The one I'm getting is year 23 - unworn and still partly stickered up, nearly all of the warranty still remaining. (I'm not phased by the year of issue thingy, seeing I plan to keep it and use it as a holiday/weekend watch.🤗)
EDIT: I did ask a couple of ADs that I'm in good standing with about getting a new one, but they're all saying there is still a big waiting list, and that they aren't getting huge numbers delivered, etc. So grey is definitely the way - if the price is at/near retail.
Can't help but notice the Bel Canto on your wrist!
Doubt we’ll see a chronometer version until current waiting list subsides for the date variant
As a current owner of the 35mm Tissot PRX I have to say that I was looking forward to what CW would bring out in the 36mm version. I am slightly bummed they did not bring out Titanium versus on as I really wanted the purple one. But what they did bring out……geez, the watch is just a dream for my 6.25” wrist. Thanks for the video Britt! I loved it
I feel as though they will bring out a titanium version, perhaps closer to Christmas. Hopefully with that purple dial
It does not look like an Overseas for me😅. But why do you say the watches rae out of reach for you when you/your husband already wears FP Journe, MBF and so on... I always wondered about that
I've got a couple of CW watches so was intrigued to get the emails about the new release. Its a bit grim, that dial is horrendous and the screw on crown guard looks like an afterthought. I'll definitely be giving that a miss
Take a look at the old IWC Ingenieur. 34mm and wears a little bit larger, JLC Movement and original Genta design. Might be something for you, Britt!
I'm watching this video seeing that long tail on the strap irritated. Here is a smaller watch designed for a smaller wrist but I'll still have to go try to find a strap that fits the integrated watch and my smaller wrist.
I hope they release their titanium fume dials in a 36 too. The purple fume is their best 12 release in my opinion
Aaaaarrrggghh !. I knew the 36mm was coming soon after the 40mm release so I held fire on pulling the trigger on the Arctic White , love a white dial I does. What do CW do ?, change the sodding indices from Silver to Gold !! . Aaaaarrrrgghh why CW why !!. 🤬.
You should ask DeLugs to make CTS rubber strap for it. They're SO much nicer than floppy rubber pin buckle straps that seem to all be made for an 9" wrist.
Ooh now this is difficult - do I keep my BB36? Or change it for one of these?
OUCH! This is an extremely tough call!!! The BB36 is a lot sportier, where as this one is a bit more sleek and thin. CAN YOU HAVE BOTH?! I feel like they are different enough you need to make both happen in your life! ;) I wouldn't sell my BB36!
@@BrittPearceWatches thanks (I think) - you just made the decision harder - you’re the watch gringa and you just made me the watch winger - 1st world problems eh?
Completely with you that the bracelet is key to these watches. Same with the PRX. Straps just don't make sense on these.
I just suck at keeping track of the date. Without a window anytime i have to fill out a form or sign something I'm immediately asking or fishing out my phone.
There you got me all excited and then there’s no date. That’s an exclusion criteria for me. Why can’t a now quite big company like Christopher Ward offer both if smallish companies like Stowa and even many micro brands can do it
Love Christopher Ward.
Lovely watch, not for me but I get why you've been waiting for this one. Just had a look at their website and they really do make some nice watches. Don't have one but the C60 Pro 300 Bronze might just be a good contender 🙂
And of course.... nice video as always 🌞
