So there Im in CH silverburn , against my best interest im tempted by a prx 80 .... Looks at a few colours and the Tiffany blue quartz , then having pulled the trigger on the glacier blue 80 , I waited , drinking coffee , chatting with staff ext , imagine my surprise and horror when the chap working with myself returns with a wee plain cardboard box , bits of sellotape attached!!! "SURELY TISSOT " don't supply watches in this box straight from a Chinese dropshipper ??
The chap sat the said box on the table .... I looked at him very concerned.... Quietly he says "watch winder ' ------ 😮😮😊😊😂😂

Not the end for the PRX as it is at a different price point to the 12 & that difference will mean a lot of of people will still go for the Tissot. Basically there is room for both at their different price points & both are quality for their potential customers.

I have this same piece. I was able to see it in the CW gallery in early May. James hosted us and he was so helpful. It was a no brainer after handling and seeing it. I have two PRX chronographs which I love but the Twelve is just different. I walked into a watch and jewelry boutique in Dubai recently and the store assistant said-“wow is that a Czapek?” I can’t wait to see what other colours CW bring out for the steel version.

Have it. Love it. Gorgeous light play on dial, case and bracelet - mesmerising in the sun. Exceeded expectation. Shame they don't use the AD route to show off their wares locally, but their returns policy is excellent. This is a great piece. For this one I decided to sell my integrated bracelet watches (a Maurice Lacroix Aikon 39, a Tissot PRX 40 quartz and a Citizen Tsuyosa) because in my humble opinion this one has the best characters from them. I already own a CW (a C60 sapphire blue) and every time I wear it I am blown away thinking about the value for money of that watch. Definitely this is one of my favorite brands in the current watch industry.

    • @oliverkuno8679
      @oliverkuno8679 Рік тому

IMHO when it comes for best value for money, the Tsuyosa is unbeateable, considering you get them on the second market for 180-220 Euros. Also I think the CW is quite comparable to the Tissot PRX PM80 and again, looking at the second market you can even get the Iceblue now for 550-570 Euro. There is no second market prices yet in the EU, so that will determine something in the bear future. However I personally would choose the PRX over the CW purely it being half the price or less as both have mass production clockworks.

I own a rare bespoke CW C65 Royal Marines Commando (from the best field watch on the market: The C65 Sandhurst 1), a beautiful Aquitaine bronze (man, you should check this beauty with its sapphire bezel homaging the Blancpain Fifhty Fathoms) and... the Bel Canto azzuro. There has been lots of reviews of this later stunning high-horological but affordable watch. You should consider this brand (despite the fact that part of their business model is to have a direct distribution channel with no intermediaries). Not sure I’d consider The 12 a PRX “killer”, but certainly a beautiful watch with superb finishing. My PRX Ice Blue just arrived today and I can tell already why it cost just $700…set it just 9.5 hrs ago and it’s lost 3 seconds already, bracelet is comfortable but sharp, L2L is WAY too big for it’s case size etc… So many say that the PRX punches above its price point, but I beg to differ. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautifully done watch for the price that it is…$700. The CW is unequivocally far more refined than the PRX, which is why it costs double the price. However, there is room for both in the watch industry. Basically Tissot owns the sub $1k space when it comes to Integrated Sports watches, and CW owns the $1k - $2k space. And let’s remember here that CW is not a new company. They have been around since 2005, almost 20 years now, so not sure with the quality of their watches and 20 years of history, that they are considered a micro brand anymore.

It's a good looking watch but both too big and too expesive for me. There's not a lot of love being shown in the comments so far. Hmmm.

Won't help with the price much, but they are launching a 36 mm version later this year.

It needs a thicker bezel - too much crystal/face.

Everything is great with this watch but that power reserve is laughable. Need at least 50 hours in this price range in my opinion

I don’t trust a guy that claims that the 35 prx is too small for his 6.5 wrist

Killer this, killer that... there's enough market out there for individual tastes and preferences
. Doesn't have to be either/or. Otherwise we'd be eating 1 kind of food, 1 brand clothing, 1 brand car, 1 brand shoes and so on.

Smart to tackle the copying of design and Selita movement at the start of video.
That aside, I’m not a fan of the logo and the busy design.
It’s a beautiful watch no doubt and wears smaller than the 40mm PRX.
However, at double the price, isn’t all the pros over a PRX that you shared a granted?
I do agree with you on one thing, CW’s marketing is top notch considering the number of UA-camrs giving raving reviews.

And irrelevant brand vs a tissot with a copycat design and a bit of everything slapped together.

For my taste, the dial is ugly. It's too busy. If they released a version with a more subtle dial then it would be on my wish list

As much I appreciate your review. I’m still got a scratch in my mind what percentage of CW marketing budget flowed to your wallet. No offense UA-cam is a business model. I think they got interesting designs but feel still its a marketing brand instead of quality. If I sleep night over it, I get less excited about it and in the long run I think I regret buying it. I bought upcoming brands like CIGA (what won GPHG challenge award) what does marketing but more focus on design and story telling. Not saying its better but its less in your face and pretending/trying to join a certain club and more focused on producing a awesome watch. But it might be me.
