Can I ask what your navien was doing that prompted you to go to this part? Mine didn't give me hot water last week my husband hit reset again this week once same issue I just flipped my breaker. My house is only 4 years old we descaled it last june

We had little to no hot water at all.
We turned on a couple taps and then the water heater fired up.
We asked a service technician who confirmed what we suspected and we bought the part.
      It’s been fantastic ever since.
Thank you for watching and commenting!

I had exactly the same fault conditions that you described. In a nut shell, no hot water, no error codes. When I saw your post - eureka. Of course, makes perfect sense. My Navien CR 240 has worked welll - some minor issues that I was able to solve - mostly leaks. But I was stumpted! Your flow sensor fail description prompted me to have a look at mine and as I compared it to the replacement sensor - it was more than clear that it was the problem. I installed the new one and voila .. hot water almost immediately. From my repair I would add that I didn't notice the packing ( washer ) on the top side of the old sensor and same fell to the floor, I only noticed that when I checked the component diagram to see if there was anything for a washer - sure enough there was. Other than that went off without a hitch. Super thankful that I stumbled across your post. Thanks

Great vid! I just had a Navien installed and sometimes it puts out great flow, but only for 5 to 10 seconds (not at start up) then drops back down. It’s not terrible, but it’s not amazing. Have you come across this and do you think it may be a faulty flow sensor?

I'm not a technician but is the unit used?
If not it should be working perfectly.
One test that we did was to turn on a couple taps to make more water go faster trhough the unit which gave us a bit of hot water.
Our unit was a demo so I'm not sure how much it was used at shows etc. Our unit is about 7 years old when we replaced that part.
Once we replaced it, it has been working as expected and we love it.
