Backfire possible. I just did my 24 build excf350. Changed tip , intake tube and bestdualsports tune. It rides sooooooo well. Check their UA-cam page. Dave is the man. I’ll release a video soon
Man...I've just spent the last 90 minutes beating, prying, pulling, cussing and swearing at my end cap on 2024 KTM 500 XW-F. It seems it must be binding up on the baffle or something, but it comes out about 3/4 of inch, then just stops...getting held up on some tube inside. No amount of prying or rubber mallet has helped. I can sort of twist it and hear screetching metal but it will NOT release or come off enough to see inside to what is going on. Yours shows a nice simple bell that just cups the screen muffler inside. sigh...at this point my sleeve of the muffler is getting bent and beat up...
The 24’s might be even more corked up than previous versions! The newer they get the harder the DIY’s go. EPA loves the BS, goodluck and let me know how it went!
@@thediymafiaYeah...I finally got it off. It was press-fit on and crimped over the bell. With the replacement Promoto Bilit slip on it is actually a little quieter and the Vortex ECU really made it come alive.
@@jeffmcclain Hopefully not too much damage was done! I was very careful with mine and dropped the bike a week after scratching the muffler pretty bad 😂. I wanted a louder muffler and didn’t want to spend the crazy money on aftermarket options so I experimented with the OEM non EPA version one wich is wider through and shorter in length and it barks loud enough it sounds like an aftermarket 🙌🏽
@@SMG_Play I *did*, however, it was NOT easy, smooth or fun. Once I got it pried out enough, I could start to see inside, and the baffle was crimped over the bell of the endcap. I have no idea how they crimped it as they put it on, but they must be forming it into a curl, then pressing it on to force the rest of it to curl into a holding cup. I guess they REALLY don't want folks taking this off, and it was stupid hard getting it off. Maybe they can slide the outer sleeve of the whole thing on from the front after crimping it.
How should you fit the oring between silencer and cap? If I just shove it on there the green ring tucks in between in some areas but stays on top on other spots. Should the o ring be fully tucked in? I can’t push the cap far enough to get the screwholes lined up when tucking it completely.
Nevermind, i figured it. I just pushed the oring between cap and silencer before pushing it all the way up with my fingernails. Sits flush and looks super clean, o ring is completely invisible.
what happens if i remove this thing on husky 501 and ktm exc-f 350 2023 stock and not change air fuel ratios?

@@jeffmcclainHow did you get it off? I had mine in a woodworking metal clamp and I can't get it past that 3/4" you talked about.

What happens if your o ring isn’t on there
Leak
I had a leak, made the 500 stall at highway speeds and the silencer would get hot.
Hey mate, where did you get that plastics and decal kit from?
Watsup man, decal kit is from ScrubDesignz on Instagram and plastics i googled Nardo grey plastics and shopped for best price. 🤙🏽
