They disappear because you reply to anything they throw at you , so you’re actually helping them to move on by showing them you are not going anywhere and they can just reach out to you whenever and you will always be there .

Yes this happen to me were she contacted me flirted and wanted to see me then decides to cancel due to she isn't ready (she lives about 2 miles away though not in some other country lol) I was like wth, back to no contact. Great advice. Best way to look at it is are they worth the time? yeah its easier said than done but its a good start showing yourself this once selfless person has showed you who they really are and its obvious its only that way when it suits them. don't feel sad, don't feel envious of their newest partners just reflect because time is now on your terms, not theirs.

I wasn't sure what to do but felt it was best to go no contact again. I know I will hear from him again in the future but I'm not sure how to respond when that happens? Thanks! Action Speaks Louder and People Tell You Who They Are videos could sum this up. Her pattern of behavior is a major red flag to me.
He did the right thing, he gave her multiple chances, each time he showed interest back,she went cold. That's not on him,she obviously doesn't know what she wants and nc she still had access to him,she would keep contacting, as long as he responded.

Take your time to respond to her, of she reaches out wait a couple day's to respond. Of the convo goes dead ,let it go dead and wait for her to contact you again. Always let her reach out , BC that way you know at least she's coming to you and not the other way around. Don't bring up the relationship either. Just stay busy ,and let her do the work .
My last ex reached out after over a year.

Even when he's blocking her he's communicating... It's both a defense and coping mechanism in as much as it is a message to her that he's hurt. Additionally, he's likely challenging/testing her in doing so...that if she wants to make contact she'll have to earn it...usually by leaving at least one means of communication, something like email. It simply doesn't work and if you've gotten to the point where you are blocking her then it's probably for a good reason. Walk the f*** away...tabula rasa
I had exact same situation with a male. very selfish, self-absorbed. this woman is no good. he should steer clear and far from her. her behaviour is bordering with emotional abuse. no way, do not go back!

This story sounds like the situation with my long distance ex. I just don't understand why some of these lame duck women just don't come out and say if they met somebody else or that they're no longer feeling it. Seems like they think men are too stupid to tell something's not right. My ex did the same, would disappear then come back and I suspected she was going back and forth with someone else on her side of the pond. I ultimately had to let go because as you say here, it's never gonna change. Hope the guy in the letter comes to the same conclusion and just forget about her cos she doesn't value him.

Sometimes it may not be out of pure spite, which is why you have to be careful. Ppl can reach out just to see if you're still around as a safety net, and once they've got their fix, disappear, and that can turn into a cycle if you're not careful.
Me and my ex broke up over 2 yrs ago, she use to do this all the time. Each time I'd go nc, she'd reach out and I'd fall for it. I'd always reinforce im not interested in being her friend, until I just stopped saying that bit. I'd just tell her ,that we're clearly not on the same page. This last time, we didn't speak over a yr. She was lurking. Until one day, I decided to take her number put of my phone, and all of a sudden she phoned me one random day, left no msg. When I msged back later, to ask if she phoned, I heard nothing back the same day, and the next day, so I just blocked bc, I could see where it was going, just wanted to see how far gone I was .

Well Craig, it's me the guy from Jersey with the Black/Jewish ex you had two Skypes with. So after a few months she reached out, we spoke, I initially didn't ask her out but a week later I did. We met up, had a drink and I thought this was nice, maybe we can meet up again. Well, I didn't hear from her for a few days after I text her saying it was nice to see her and it would be nice to meet up again. Well I called her yesterday, we had another long conversation and she said she was now exclusive with the other guy she had been dating. Needless to say I was disappointed but didn't show it. I asked to meet up with her one more time and she was nervous about it but agreed so I'm waiting for her to confirm. I guess I can finally move on after seeing her one last time probably this weekend and telling her not to contact me anymore. Anyway, thanks for your help Craig, I still learned to be a better version of myself because of you. I will still continue to watch the videos of how to be a master in relationships but nothing about exes. Cheers and Happy Holidays & all the best for the new year.
I have one ex that does this every few years. Normally when he's going through a bad time (abusive ex, divorce, etc). I have zero romantic feelings for him, so it doesn't hurt. It's just annoying as I would get on with him as a friend/business partner (which I find almost as difficult to find as a partner) and he acts really enthusiastic when he gets in touch. I then waste a few days chatting to him before he ghosts me again.
In the meantime, the men I actually love never bother to contact me after I go NC.
This is 90% like mine. When she reached out a month later we exchanged a couple of texts and the next day I asked to meet up. She was going away so she said she would let me know when she is back so again I went nc. She reached out again and then we met but I saw some red flags and walked away and then she kept reaching out until I told her off. I was annoyed as the behaviour is similar to this woman when it was good for her she texts but when not, she starts to be silent so I said good bye.
I broke up with my ex about a month ago because he became very distant. I asked him if he was still interested in the relationship, he said he was not sure. My ex broke up with me it’s been two months he didint try to contact me and now 2 months he messages me about my hair straighter I had at his apt I told him ya just drop it off in my mailbox I don’t think he likes that well another day he messaged me said he was leaving work and was gna drop it off . And I’m a mess because I had told myself ur not gna hear from him and such and then all of a sudden I hear from him. he’s also posted stuff on FB that only I could see it was something silly an inside joke between us , it was a emoji chicken but he made it for just me to see. Like what is going on why is he doing this. And now nothing at all. I know I shousknt keep him on my social media but I can’t manage to delete him so I think from now on I’m just gna make it so he can’t see anything I post on anything. Idk what to do I’m sorry my message is so chaotic I just need some kind of advice.

This was seriously my situation with my ex. About 2 days after we broke up she reached out to me and we talked for like 2 days then she would disappear and text me like 3 days later then she’ll disappear and then come back and we’ll talk for a week then disappears again and then reaches out and I text back and disappears and reaches out again and I text back and she disappears. I then confronted her about why does she reach out to me and I text her back but then she disappears and she ignored me. The last time we talked was in person on Christmas after that I dropped her off and we both told each other take care and be safe. Ever since then we been in no contact. I wouldn’t be surprised though if she started talking to somebody else. I tried to confront her about picking up some of my stuff that I left at her house before Christmas but she ignored me.

So did I handle this correctly? I was in a group chat of Section Leader for Marching Band. They forgot to add the Color guard Captains. My ex is one of them. After 16 minutes of them being added, my ex reached out to me after 3 months. She apologized and stuff. She said sorry and cleared things up because we both have leadershio roles in the band. But the Section Leaders never talk, plan, or anything, with the Guard. So she never had to reach out and apologize. She could've left it the way it was and we would've been fine. She apologized and I kept it short and said "sorry I was busy. It's ok. I understand. I accept your apology. I'm sorry too." Then she said she was ok now and she hopes I am to and that if we could be cool. I said "of course" And then she said "kewl" I left her on read as that was the end of the conversation and we straightened things out. Then she messages me again and said she unblocked me on Instagram (the only thing she had me blocked on) and that she had to go. And that was that. Did I handle that right?

I’ve been in no contact. My ex wife called me while I was at the gym, she said that she would call back later, I said okay sounds good. She never called back, and I decided not to give her a call, she is going to have to put in the work for me. And I’m going to let her come to me at her own pace. Sleezy something obviously changed between that conversation & when u were supposed to meet up. She sounded very interested. Do u have any contact in between that time? U could have said something to turn her off that you're unaware of or she might be interested in someone else.

The thing is that she‘s always posting sad quotes and song lyrics about breakups and how depressed she is...and I know that she means our relationship with those quotes but she would never admit it...

Same here. Ex gf texted me after 5 days of no contact saying she missed me so much. I didn’t say I missed her back but I did say I was open to her call but she hasn’t called. I believe it has to do with some kind of guilt or they wanted an ego boost without effort.

We've been together more than 2yrs and a half, we were very happy and there also some fights and she the one who say sorry and I'm feel really bad about it
At the very end of our half years she get busy with the outdoors trips then when she back I started to act harshly and say breakups in order to get her attention and then karma is real she break up with me
But she is not hate me, sometimes we still have a quick conversation and then i found out she started have a relationship with a LESBIAN @@ ( they seems extremely happy together)

Ex Girlfriend reached out with text 3 months post breakup with direct indirect... Then asked me to come over to help with something 3 days later (still very stand offishness)...followed up with me the next day with a couple of texts, then disappeared. She has liked a couple of social media posts, but that's it.
Happened to me yesterday. Received a miss call and a really weird text. I did text back with a? And he went into hiding again. Oh well, I disabled facetime after that. What about when i have been in no contact for over 3 months working on myself, and she reaches out asking some random thing about a story she saw with my baby brother in it, then 2 weeks later again reaches out asking about how my family back home is, as there are some problems in my area in my country. Guys, I need some advice!
We were currently in a 1 and a half year relationship until he decided to break it off over text. I did NOT see it coming, so obviously in a state of shock i begged him to try again and apologised for anything I'd done wrong. He didn't answer my phone calls or open my texts until 3/4 days afterwards. He rang me apologising and telling me he 'lost feelings' for a while but didnt know what to do. He said he was gonna play along and not tell me but then couldn't be arsed, so decided to just end it. I asked him what i done wrong he said 'idk it just dont feel the same'. We kinda said our byes and ended the call. I texted him straight after telling him ill always love him and not to forget me. He replied with 'dw'. Day 5 into no contact he rang me asking how i was and i played it cool as if everything was okay and i was happy. I think he called because he missed me, but then again maybe he was confused because he expected me to keep messaging him and beg for him. It's currently day 11 and after that he hasn't called or texted again. I miss him sooo much I just want him back. I feel like he wants to reach out but he thinks I've moved on.

If there is one week left for a serious exam, she would be already prepared. He would have been informed about the preparation process all this time, if she wanted him she couldn't wait getting out of the exam to tell him how it went when he was in her city. That very first excuse was a major red flag, he should have confronted her right then.
I've been there, saying "alright" so often and taking my partner's word even though I sensed something was wrong. We don't want to sound judgmental, if they are lying we'll eventually know anyway, right? But we end up wasting months being nice and compliant until truth reveals itself.
People watching this channel probably remember the healthy phase of their relationship, that's why we want them back, right? Do you remember those times when you had no drama, no doubts about your partner or the future, no excuses like "I have a serious exam this week so you should postpone your visit," or "I need to sort this thing out before I see you." No, nothing of that sort. Please, for your own good, accept this situation and make room for peace, security and self-expression in your life without them. At least for now, you have no choice but to make it on your own. I hate when videos like these automatically assume that it's always the person who was dumped is the only one who wants the ex to come back. I wish there were videos for folks who dumped their ex and who wants them to come back. Not every relationship is black and white; the person who was dumped is not always the innocent person. There are situations where the person who broke up with their partner because they were cheating or being demeaning and the person who dumped their partner wishes their partner would change their behavior and come back to them.
