My vet is from Oz and he asked what I was feeding and when I said raw and continued to prove that I was covering all nutrients he was perfectly satisfied and admitted that he would have to go back to school to learn about nutrition. That is a vet I will continue to go to, one that can admit that!
The vet I went to just started their practice, two different offices and now they have a mobile has misdiagnosed my dog with incontinence and all she had was vaginitis. Then she had seizures due to heartgardplus and they, a couple, didn’t believe that poison didn’t caused her seizures. If I didn’t listen to Dr. Judy I wouldn’t have known better, myself. Thank you for spreading the message of better nutrition. I now know better. I do wish they knew about nutrition. They should know better! If you have a degree you should always be learning and bettering your expertise.
You guys are true heros. Going up against big corp isn’t easy and you do it for the animals. I’ve learned so much over the years on healing my dogs with food, herbs, acupuncture etc. You given me more time and good years with my doggies and I can’t thank you enough. Your info is absolutely priceless.
Many years ago when I was a farm kid that tagged along when the vet came out to see animals as well as to assist when needed, he told me that I needed to learn all I could about what to feed and properly care for the animals I kept because their lives depended on it. He said I couldnt depend on a vet to be much help unless it was a medical issue but I needed to be the expert on diet and husbandry because my vet didnt get much nutrition education in school. He encouraged me to be like the old cattlemen i grew up around who could work up to a cow, look them over and say iodine deficiency so we add this and the problem will fix itself.
I was literally just telling my friend 2 days ago that there needs to be a certification or degree program for holistic/natural pet nutrition, and that vet clinics would make bank if they brought in a nutritionist who could work closely with vets for patients with specific medical needs (like my dog who has kidney disease). Not only would pets be healthier, the clinics would bring in more income than they do now selling bags of processed food. Veterinary behaviorists already work with approved trainers, why can’t vets work with holistic nutritionists?
I absolutely love these videos. So informative, I learn so much. Thank you Judy and Conor for all of your hard work and taking the time to talk to us. Dr Conor Bradys book Feeding Dogs is fantastic. I've read it twice! Highly recommended!
You two are a rich wealth of information and for that I am blessed to have found you. Thank you. Don’t listen to the naysayers. Keep on keeping on please!!💕
Thank you so much for talking about the important part that vet nurses and vet technicians have and that can have ❤I’m a veterinary nurse with 20 years of experience and I’m specialising in animal nutrition, and herbalism and tcvm principles. I think we can have a really important part in helping vets and educating pet parents about proper nutrition for healthy pets. We have so much knowledge and can do so much more to help vets and pet parents
I was fired by my vet for feeding gently cooked. Brought Dr Judy and Dr Brady's books to my visit. She wasn't interested. He is not a vet and the ACVIM said it was wrong. Been a nurse for 35 yrs. They are right on.
Yesterday my dog had her tooth removed, when I told them she eats human food they advise me to stop because she can get intestinal issues later on down the line they said, recommended wet dog food, is the special food diet recall over ? ?? I feed my dog a bland diet of rice, chicken breast, carrots, a few green beans & every other day cottage cheese/ pumpkin with dog vitamins & beef liver sometimes salmon skins
It's coming out now that excess carbs are horrible for humans, it's not a stretch to imagine they are also horrible for our mammalian pets with similar organ anatomy.
@@chiron591 Carbs are easy to have excess of and leaves one feeling generally hungry (in humans) leading to overeating and excess insulin response - generally not necessary for proper metabolism. We were sold that lie by Kellog's grain company who developed the initial food pyramid for the government...
One year old 3 lb poodle nibbles cat poop from neighbors free range kitties? Other than not take my eyes off for a second is there anything I can sprinkle in area the cats use as a deterrent? Thank you
I love my vet, and has always went to them but I’m scared to tell them that I’ve switched my dog to a mostly raw diet and I’m scared of what they are going to say when we go I for our vet appointment this month. How do you go about what they have to say about raw diet do you just not say anything about what you are feeding or just saw your adding in fresh food to his diet?
I’ve been bullied by many vets. Even calling me a bad pet parent. Stand your ground. They will recite their nonsense to try and re-educate you or just bully you. Tell them you like them but on this issue it’s your decision. Your dogs will thank you with better health.
Great podcast ! But I need HELP PLEASE ! How to tell my daughter that her vet is wrong about repeating vaccins after 3 yrs ? Specially her Boston Terrier has so many allergies and will starts on a desensitized protocole soon. At least, she changed for raw food two yrs ago ! Do you have a video somewhere on over vaccination ? 🤞🏻🙏

As an LVT who loves nutrition and fresh food, I would love to be pimped out for nutrition consulting.

I wish you could see how excited my pup gets when he knows he's getting fed his homemade pup loaf! Such an all around transformation.

I love Connor's reasoning

We are all on a mission
Our Vet doesn't really know about raw feeding but they do sell 2 different pre-made raw brands 🎉 🇿🇦

I collect Judy’s cards with the pup loaf and give it away. Also Dr Harvey’s pamphlets
Where can I get your information items
I love these two , they are a wealth of information . I learn so much from you :) Sending you much love and appreciation

There are vets near me who won't accept any patients who eat raw or home cooked food. It's wild.
Thank you again!! Sharing to all the pet groups i belong 🐕 ❤️ 😊

I cook for my cats and dog I only get dry for for cases like being out for more than 8 hours or emergency
I have ordered his book. Thank y’all! What blueberries aren’t good for dogs? Lol.
All I did for my dog to drop weight was to feed pup loaf and stopped kibble!
The argument of pet owners “I feed this along time and my vet knows better then you,you are not a vet drives me insane
YEEEESSS! THIS!
Does anyone have knowledge about Cynthia Cherry?
It's coming out now that excess carbs are horrible for humans, it's not a stretch to imagine they are also horrible for our mammalian pets with similar organ anatomy.
It's not carbs, it's vegetable oils, that are bad. Carbs are not bad for humans they are bad for animals that don't eat carbohydrates.
@@chiron591 Carbs are easy to have excess of and leaves one feeling generally hungry (in humans) leading to overeating and excess insulin response - generally not necessary for proper metabolism. Are vets getting kickbacks from the medical and food corps???
I feel sorry for all new Vets, it is going to be hard
I worked with some new vets. They don’t know anything. This is why you have to be your own dogs doctor and do what you can to ensure proper health.
Dr Judy is got your book yin and yang is there a recipe for ibd and what page 😅
And courses taken from you guys or equal will help to put a healthy diet for their dogs.
One year old 3 lb poodle nibbles cat poop from neighbors free range kitties? Other than not take my eyes off for a second is there anything I can sprinkle in area the cats use as a deterrent? Thank you
Vets would not know how to actually feed a dog , if kibble would not excist
Un addition i also give my dog blueberries 🫐, & apples sometimes once in a while a few pieces of cantaloupe or watermelon
Feeding Dogs is my Bible besides Ying and Yang

Scared of your vet? Then why not visit a different one?
