While I was in cosmetology school we cleaned or flat irons with relaxer heat up the flat irons then turn it off once it’s warm apply the relaxer and wipe with damp towel the relaxer melts the product buildup and won’t scratch your plates they will look new

Thank you for that tutorial on cleaning a flat iron. That was the best cleaning I've seen so far. It was simple an very helpful.

Heated oven cleaner is beyond toxic. Which is why it is applied to Ovens with the oven off. A simple dust mask isn’t protective enough. You need a Respirator. Depending on how often you do this process, there is need for concern...be careful sis. Consider using a relaxer or baking soda...I’m not even going to talk about the engine enamel...Lawd..

Girl, bye. For most varieties of brands the general or 1st set of instructions call for a warmed oven for a portion or entirety of the cleaning time. And do not call for a mask & only say wear long gloves, ventilate use area, point away from face to spray, & don't breathe it or fumes in. Drinking that hateraid got u getting all hoity toity when u dont know what the fuck u talking about in front of the whole internet.

Please be careful using this method. I tried it and it lifted the coating off of my flat iron. I had to throw it away and get a new one.

I don't use Oven cleaner anymore but I'll try this with baking soda and ACV.

Use relaxer y’all. On a slightly warm iron.

How fast can u sizzle bacon on the iron?

  • @tinadraper2283

Just buy a new iron. That's too much. It's looks like you're ruining the surface of the flat iron! That's doesn't look like a good idea

No it aint. She look cute as hell. Stop it. Cleaning products in your hair huh. Drinking that hateraid must be stunting your creativity or something. That was so obvious. Practice in the morror next time.

Please be careful using this method. I tried it and it lifted the coating off of my curling iron. I had to throw it away and get a new one.
