    London River. The Pool of London used to be a tidal port and the bridge opened and closed when needed. for passage with the tides . I''m sorry it is a rare sight now.

      @mavisemberson8737 Good afternoon Mavis. Yes, you're not wrong there "I've been reading up on the activity of the bridge, in yesteryear." As it'll be featuring soon, in an upcoming post! Mad to see the Thames so busy & bustling "in the old photos" compared to nowadays. Yes, sadly not as it was = only opening around twice a day now.
