Double Stain Technique for Guitars

The technique of "double-staining" simply means applying two different stains to a figured wood to emphasize the grain or special figure such as curl. In this video Jeff shows you the basics of the technique on an actual curly maple guitar.

This is great, thankyou.I have wondered how to stain an instrument with lighter binding and purfling . Stain seems to bleed under the tape when it is taped off.
