When you glue up your top and back, offset the plates just a bit so you can find the center seam later.

It’s calculated by measuring. Typically though it falls between 88.2 and 89

Great tips!! If I could be as bold to add one- When setting the waist, double or triple up the tape before you stretch it over the edge will help increase the amount pressure you can apply with the tape to get the binding in tight. Since learning that trick I have never needed to clamp that area. Thanks Jeff, you’re a great source of inspiration.

More info on the top bracing? Cross-braced or ladder or???
X braced top with two tone bars. Back standard ladder braced.
