Just about to have this done to my car... watched it so I could sympathise knowingly with the poor schmuck who I am getting to do it! Wish I had the skills to do it myself. Great video, thanks!
For people doing this on the diesels, not required on petrol models you probably want to open the thermostat and you won’t be able to do that without ODIS, if you don’t you have a good chance to cook the head. You don’t have to but you might want to check the coolant fill quality by pressuring the reservoir to 1.5bar after filling it abit above the plastic line (30mm up) mark the spot, if it drops below 30mm you may have a problem.
I was about to try this on my Octavia, this is perfect DIY guide together with service manual, but no way I'm going to do this :D (i do lots of basic maintenance on my car including diagnostics) which makes me really mad. I do not trust any shop, including Skoda's, but most probably i will end there watching through their fingers :) otherwise i can see f.e. how the little shield won't be added back etc.
@@UseTool_EN It did, there is a small mistake in the video tho, when putting all back together, first we put this lower timing cover plastic along with engine carrier, then the crankshaft accessory pulley, not the other way around. Costed me 5 minutes, but no biggie! Video is great otherwise, very well covered. Thank you again!
This is something that you shouldn't do if you are not 100% sure that you can do it ! And even if you know what you doing, you need to make sure you've got the right tools 👌😎

iss there a knack to it?
@@johnblanning2500 patience.. nothing other than trying to wiggle it out without breaking the plastic cover. Follow the steps about the heat shield.
Especially removing injectors
Im going to do my timing belt next week, so this video helped me a lot
Good luck! This is a tricky one!
Very professional detailed presentation! Great job! Felicitation 😊

The bottom plastic sequence was showed after the damper pulley was installed :D

A question. The water pump for Vw golf 1.6 17 plate is it switchable or non-switchable
The waterpump 10 minuut or 10 times in collant?
10 times will be enough. 😄
Thanks!

Is anyone knows when or after how many km the distributieriem should be replacing? The total km is 130,000
Hi @thebronzedadonis ! This is why we make these videos! 🔥
There is no link to "How to bleed the coolant Golf mk7 1.6 or 2.0 TDI" video in the description. Was this deleted for some reason?
Did you found it m8?
How many km must change on a golf 7 ? 1.6 tdi 2014
either 10 years or 210.000km. if you haven't changed you should do it ASAP! cheers
Without a dealer doing this work, it's a nightmare as a DIY for a common person
