Just to get facts straight...if you change oil and do long trip with excesive speeds 150kmh+ if engine serviced properly even at 200.000km 2.0tdi with 150ps won't consume a drop. But...if you pressure that engine with last oil service done 10k ago be prepare to lose oil so check should be done weekly after 10k from last oil service especially if high speed is involved not city driving. These engines likes to eat oil but only after oil viscosity drops and this starts at 10-12.000km if pushed hard.
I own a Golf 7 1.6 TDI with 340,000 km. I haven't had any problems until now, but it's time to change the crankshaft seal because it's leaking oil, but still a great car, a little slower engine unlike the 1.9 TDI, but it's ok for me. With the previous owner, the air conditioning evaporator and the heating radiator were changed both times, their drawback is that it loses coolant due to the water pump, but my model has never had any problems with this.
