If you enjoyed that session, man you would love O’ahu! Every day is firing on a foil. Some days it’s good to wing. Some days it’s good to prone. Some days I watch everyone that tows. That MA seems like a blast winging! I proned with one for a few seasons and sold it pretty quick because I didn’t wing.
O’ahu is on the list!! I’d be in heaven. And yeah, the MAs are made for winging. I miss the 1000 but I still have the 800 for crazy powered days. It’s worth having it, for jumping and huge waves. Thanks bud, I wish you an awesome day!!
Thanks bud! Two back-to-back days there got me so freakin’ stoked! Hopefully we get more east winds and swells before the summer slump. Last summer was too flat! Hope to see you out there soon bud. I wish you an awesome day.
Awwww thanks so much bud! I needed this sesh for sure, and it was glorious. 4hours straight on the water, I would have kept going if I had more time! So stoked. Thanks and I wish you an awesome weekend!
lol gotta love that wing brain! seriously I say the craziest stuff when I'm so stoked after sessions like this. but it's pure. I love the waves! next video is another wave sesh... I was even more dialed than this one. The MA1000 finally gets me stoked, and I love that. Thanks bud and I wish you an amazing weekend!
Yeah bro, what a great edit! Those conditions looked insane and you captured it really well with all your camera angles. This is one of the best I’ve seen. That 1000 is a fantastic foil for riding in waves, it just shreds turns so hard. I ride a very similar set up, but prefer the 195 tail. It is noticeably faster than the 205.
thanks so much Rob! truly appreciated. although I'm a little more stoked about the next video, it was waves the day after this one and I was even more tuned in to the MA1000. I don't mind the 195 at all, but the 205 is really nice. I haven't needed more speed yet, and the little extra stability is also nice. I just for the 180, I'm stoked to try that more on the 925 or 725 but I'll def try it on the 1000 soon. It's not like I need or desire more speed with either of those, but I'm wondering if the 180 is the thing that will get me to break 30mph on like the 725. I'll prolly freak out if I go that fast. LOL. stoked to try it with everything. good to hear from you as always and I wish you an awesome day bud!!
Nice to see some wingers out with you... seems to be temperature is getting better 😀 .. wwrote until here before hearing your comments .. so nice to feel how stoked you have been .. I can understand 100% ... NICE
oh man it's so much fun to ride waves with my buds! seriously, the best. it's hard to get people to follow me out in crazy waves, but that number is growing! and yeah, the temp is getting better fast! the water is slow to warm but we are just at the no gloves phase, and that means longer sessions. this session I was out for just over 4 hours non-stop! it was glorious. kinda nice when the cameras die too and I can just shred with less to worry about. I'm so stoked on these MAs now. I may have to try the 800 and I didn't think I'd go there...
Super awesome. I loved it when you were having party waves with your buds . And that ma rips on those conditions. How were the mits? roll on summer now tho its still cold over here and little wind booooooo Have a great weekend mate 😊😀
Nothing better than a party wave with your buds! Even better with good waves. I love winging with Brian, the wing doctor. We are about the same skill level, it always gets the stoke level higher. And the MA… it just gets better! I hope you’d comes soon… about a month? Oh man that’s the worst being in the doldrums! Sending windy thought your way Chris. Hope it gets better soon! As always I wish you an awesome weekend to you and your crew!
@OCEANBOUND yes the néw foil about a month there is a whole new range all with higher aspect and omega shaped unfortunately I fancy another so may need a bank loan or back to only fans , have a cracking weekend my friend 😀
omega?? oh no is there something even newer? bank loans indeed! Which reminds me, I gotta sell some wings... Hope you get some wind soon bud! Have an awesome day over in the UK!!
Great review and thanks for posting your gear used in the comments, always interested to see what folks are riding….tried my MA 1775 the other day day and its really impressive on glide and light wind session , foils as easy as my CF2050 but 30% faster !
No prob Dean, thanks for watching! I am so curious about the 1775, especially it’s turning, and it’s speed too. but I don’t think I’ll ever get one unless it turns better than say my 1325. I rode a 1550 recently and it blew my mind how much lift it had, I can imagine the 1775 has even more! Are you getting one or did you just try it for fun?
I totally get it now! So stoked. I’ve never been so active on a wave, I was always happy mostly going down the line, this kinda changes the whole way I ride. LOVE IT. Thanks and I wish you an awesome weekend!!
Oh sick dude!! I now love the MA1000, but I just got the 180 speed tail so my next few sessions I may try to ride the 925 again. Super interested to see if I can make it do some of the same things the MA does after spending so much time on the MA. But I’m sure you’ll dig it. I gotta try the bigger ones. I never thought I’d need anything more that the 1325 but maybe they are more playful and turn better. That’d be rad. Anyway, let me know how that new gear is! Stoked for you. I wish you an awesome weekend bud!
Thanks bud! Nahant is my happy place. If I could ride waves there every day, I wouldn’t even think about 360s. Jumping is cool, but waves are where my heart is. Hope all is well and I wish you an awesome day!
That's cool that you got some footage of the other wing foiler. I would like to see more of that in your videos. You should try mounting a camera on the wing tip. I've seen it done in other videos and it seems to work well.
Yes!! Me too bud, me too. Especially wave riding. I only have a few friends that follow me out in bigger wave days, but that number is growing. The whole community is growing, I love it. I will document more. Btw, when are we gonna shred together?!?
@@OCEANBOUND1 Lol 😄 I don't know Jeremy. I myself stay fairly local and don't travel much. I mostly foil Great Bay and occasionally the NH beaches. Wells Harbor in Maine is good too. I haven't progressed to wave riding yet. There are three other guys in our crew who wing foil the same spots. Two of them have been foiling waves. Let me know if you ever need any local knowledge and/or want to foil with us.
awesome! I've winged Wells before, I think that was last year. Fun place! I wanna hit some other places this summer if conditions and time allow it. I'll def reach out for some intel. It's beautiful out... I wish you an awesome day bud!
Yes!! The surf makes it shine for sure. I’ve never been so inspired to turn on the wave. Def changing my foil wave riding. So sick. I just got the v3 Strike and it’s great. No wave sesh yet; hopefully soon. But if I had unlimited money I’d have Units for flatwater and Strikes for waves. Cause I still love the ways of the Unit. I’ve def seen people rip on them without the crazy swing that I experienced, maybe different sizes are different? Thanks bud, keep in touch and I wish yiu awesome weekend!!
Haha you got this!! You’ll be ripping waves in no time. I’ll come down soon to ride with y’all, I have a lot of time off coming up. Have an awesome weekend!
Hi Jeremy, thanks for the inspiration and stoke. Been meaning to connect, but hands are often full 👶😊 Inspired by your training, I’m starting to focus on upwind tacks -maybe tried 20- and it always feels like my wing has too much drag overhead pulling me backwards. I end up stalling straight into the wind, unable to turn further. Any suggestions? Thanks , -Stuart P.s. lmk if you’re selling a small wing ~3-4.5 m2 or a ~60L board 😋
What’s up bud!! Upwind tacks… that took me a while and they still aren’t 100% dialed in on both sides. For your particular issue… I can give you a tip that really helped me. Keep in mind, every wing flags out a little different, so your particular wing may just pull you backwards more than others. But what helped me… I come in toeside. So I either switch my feet right before or stayed riding toeside from my last jibe. One direction I’m better at coming in toeside, the other direction I’m better heelside, I dunno why. As I start to come upwind, I let go with the back hand, and push my front hand forward, into the wind. Not up over your head, although your arm will need to be a little upwards. But the key is to push your wing forward into the wind as you come around. My guess is your wing is more over your head and a little farther back, so it loads up with a little more power and pulls you backwards. Try that a bunch of times and see if it helps. Let me know if it helps or not! Lol my stuff is always for sale! I have a 3.5 v1 Strike I’ve used the last 2 years when it’s really windy, but that’s only been about 10 times. I don’t have to upgrade it but I totally can, lol. 60L board, I do not have. I wish! But making due with a 75 and a 48 and totally happy here.
Sweet. Sounds promising. I suppose I t doesn’t help to be learning on big gear 7m2/100L/925. I’ll try and get back to you - hopefully soon 😂😝🤙 Thanks - Stuart
Oh dude it’s about to get miserable around here. But Feb-March are the coldest waters, so it’s still relatively warm right now. I had a 40 degrees sesh yesterday and I wasn’t really ready for that. Brrrr! 🥶
I wasn’t like wow’d on the 1225 after 2 sessions but they were on flatwater. Now I’m totally wanting to try them on waves. My wing dealer is a little heavier than me and the 1225 is blowing him away, he loves it. Let me know if you get one and I wish you an awesome day bud!
Is there any good spot guide on where to go winging (in waves) best in the MA area. Just moved from Europe to NYC and seems hard to find where to go (how to check forecasted wind direction/speed) but conditions look really good in your videos. Any advise how to find out best if the day journey to MA is worthwhile and where to go best to find good waves and wind? (Not worried about the drive, just want to have some certainty that I find the spots that work)
Sup bud! We don’t have a spot guide right now for winging, but we do have a website masskiting.com that details a bunch of beaches in the area. The places to watch for are the ones that are prolly in a surf app, like SurfCaptian or Surfline. Keep eyes on Nahant, Matunuck or Point Judith in Rhode Island, and the other Cape like Wellfleet. Honestly Rhode Island has the most consistent swell, and is prolly closer. A growing number of wingers are in that area as well. I’d say anything SW and 5ft or more are worth going. If SE swell and BIG like double overhead, there’s a great spot at Point Judith with a super easy launch that’s sheltered. Nahant needs East swell. We can wing in pretty much any wind direction. If anything is looking good, feel free to reach out and I’m happy to give the FX a once-over. I hope we can shred!
aight, came here from another channel and insta thought you're a super sympathetic and chill guy. please do me a favor and care more about securing those boards/your load when driving. looked like you just kinda threw them ontop of your stuff. if you had some straps somewhere, mb didnt see. anyways. wouldnt want to not be able to see more of your shenanigans on the water due to a stupid car crash.
Right on bud! Sometimes I do strap them in, but the majority of the time I do not. I really should. I’ve had a longer SUP slide into the windshield before. So I know it can happen. But this FG board mostly sits between the headrests and is pretty solid, but I agree, I should take more care! It’s like when you get to the beach and your rip your wing on the first wave. Sucks when the session ends before it even starts. Take care bud and I wish you an awesome week!
If you enjoyed that session, man you would love O’ahu!

Woot woot! I remember I did a jump near you that felt so high!! Launching off waves isn’t really a thing at PBay, lol.
Great video as always !!! Love it and see your smile the session with the MA1000
Awww thanks so much bud! I’m a sucker for waves! 🌊😍👍
