Hello man ! first of all thanls for your vids / did you used to ride the HA wings ? now you are on the MA and why what did they bring to your surf foiling that the HA series don't ? thanks !
Yes I still ride the ha wings. 925 and 725 specifically. Usually with ha 195 stab one blue shim. Ha’s have speed and pump ability that the MAs can’t keep up with for obvious reasons. Main being drag but they lose stability in comparison. I’ve found if I want to pump the ma1000 better I need the ha195 tail (I’m sure the other new ha tails are good for this too) If I’m looking to ride in good waves 2-4ft with some wall and energy the 1000 and 205 is great combo. If I want more ability to pump out and link then I’ll run 1000/195 if it’s smaller or waves have less wall and are more lumpy peaks I’ll run 925 with 195 and can pump around and link up waves more easily. Playing with the 725 as well which has been fun super fast and maneuverable but takes more energy to keep up and pump. Hoping to try an MA800 soon and review!
The MAs just flat out turn smoother and handle breaches better. They run slower but that means you can hang and carve in the pocket which 925 tends to outrun.
Had one and it seems impossible to pump. They seem to have flooded the market cause nobody wants them and the prices reflect that. The new HAv2 however, hard to find and they hold value.
Hi there, I got this set up with a 70 mast for wing and it works great.I am starting prone, got some 20 sessions already , and wonder if this set up would be good for it or it's too advanced? I can get an HA1125 very cheap, would that be a good option?I obviously want to learn but don't wanna buy a foil that I am only going to use for a few sessions.
Hi! The MA1000 is a good foil for prone great with the 205 or an HA tail. It is a little slower and hard to pump than the HA foils like 1125 or 925 but it makes up for that in stability. I think it’s a great place to start since you are comfortable on it already! The HA1125 is awesome too great for linking waves and pumping turns relatively good with a 50 or 60 fuse and 205, v200, or HA tail. My quiver is basically MA1000, 1125, 925, and 725 but rarely ride that takes too much work haha. 1125 has been my daily for small surf lately just allows ability to pump around and link waves without as much effort as smaller foils. Does get a bit tricky in slightly bigger waves and higher speeds though. Hope that helps. Planning to do a video about the 1125 soon!
thanks a lot! it does help!! So I am confortable with the MA1000 surfing with the wing, I will see how it translates to prone ;-) Can't wait for the 1125 video !@@maxnuccio2440

@@youdigsurf hey there! Ya it’s really annoying sorry about that. I’m going to post a duplicate video with no music until I can re edit. Such a strange copyright only limited in some places.

This was REALLY helpful. Thanks! :)
Awesome knowledge mate. I’ll be watching to get your feedback when you try it with winging
Thanks! I'll definitely post a video and some footage of my progress learning to wing haha.
With winging I have found the 1250 to be very lifty when hitting swells going upwind. Think it needs a negative degree shim in powered up conditions.
Hi Andrew is that the 1250 or 1225?

i have the chance to get a CF300 tail very cheap, do you think is worth in order to get more stability on the ha1125? @@maxnuccio2440

Sorry still working on it been dealing with some health stuff. You can use a vpn and watch though if you’re familiar with that!
ua-cam.com/video/m1EZcbo746Q/v-deo.html check out some pov clips of the MA1000 in action.
