Dude i got a 914 and started in on this project back in 2016 and man i know nothing about car restoration or restomods so it has taken me wayyy too long. Anyways just watching these videos now and its given me a lot of motivation. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain things and post this!
JKW Engineering (Jeff is a decent man, too)will have other parts to complete the swap. He is working on an GT40 (open style) hood for the radiator. I've been in his car he built. He tracks it and it surprises a lot of people. He is also building a twin turbo full on race car! Good luck with your build!!! S
I'm planning to do the same to my 914, engine trans and cradle all pretty simple but the ECU is the biggest question mark. I'm following your build and curious what you do for the computer portion. Please do post more video of progress!
Thanks so much for sharing this project. I am researching 914 swaps as we speak. My intent is to autocross and time attack this car. I have seen 914s do amazing things on the course. Any thoughts on Balance and weight v. Stock? The $$$ on this build is VERY exciting. I will be following closely. Good luck!!
I've watched your thread on 914 world. I too am building a 914/EZ30R conversion. I would like to talk privately to compare notes. Are you located in CA?
Subaru engines is unreliable. Why not BWA/BWE 2.0 VAG engine with 6 manual? It's quite reliable and light. Besides, you can easily get 300bhp from them
Mostly wondering since he’s using a EZ30R engine with “drive by wire” instead of drive by cable and having to deal with Canbus issues, how is he addressing the communication to the ECM etc.
I'll be watching your videos VERY closely as I'm saving up to begin assembling parts for this exact build! Thank you for making this series!
Looking great! So exciting to see the build start!

I was always wondering why I couldn't find videos about EZ30R swaps. Now I'm happy to see you showing the proof that it can be done! 🌞💯
I did the same thing. It was a really fun car to own and ran like a dream.
In the middle of restoring a 914 widebody, with rotted out longitudinals. Following and sub, as I am debating between ez30 and EJ25
Great video! Looking forward for more content
Look forward to watching your build!
After breaking an open differential with an eg33 would recommend changing it out to a 6 speed lsd or a something stronger than the factory open diff .
Where is the best place to get and watch your videos? I am about to begin my 914/ Subaru swap. Great video by the way.

Stop....they are very reliable
@@josephhertzberg2734 read statistics, it's not really
I'm sure the engine is going to be reliable enough for his needs.

Ok boomer
Another butcher of Porsche's
Please leave Porsche's alone
