Thanks for the tip about letting them cool in the shape you intend to eat them in.
You’re quite welcome!
I soak lentils over night to get rid of its phytic acid and put in the blender, it comes out the same as this.
phytic acid is in all beans & seeds it prevents the vitamins & minerals to to get absorbed 💐
Thank you for sharing! I love when a recipe has minimal ingredients. Simplicity and yet amazing outcomes. I can see your talented and passionate and as a fellow video creator & cook I would love to learn more together.
Thanks for shareing, going to try it.
Thank you, looks good🎉
So delicious !!! Thank you for the recipe and video :)
Thanks! Check back in if you make it!
Mine didn’t turn out well they taste good I just can’t roll them. What do you think I did wrong
@carollbeaty1885 if they’re stiff then too much water evaporated. So maybe too high heat or cooked too long
I find a ground spoonful of flax/linseeds makes a good binder.
I thought of the flax seed also but wanted to try the original recipe first. Thanks for the tip
Wow that is very nice 👍🏻
Hi dear! Thank you!
FYI, red lentils are not skinned brown lentils. they are their own variety.
You could use the method of masala dosa
Good lord, you are a gorgeous human being! Anyway, Thanks. I just received my red lentils from Amazon. Making this weekend, but definitely using extra virgin olive oil.
Thanks! And have a delightful time with your lentils!
I think some ground cumin and black Chia seeds in the mix would be nice and have with preserved Lemon harrisa and Greek yoghurt dip would be the 💣😃
Whoaaaaaaaa
Can you talk about the lectins since their not cooked, I love them but don’t want leaky gut.
Interesting! Apparently soaking lentils can remove most of the lectins so you could soak them before ending them with water. It’s also possible to blend the dry with water and let that soak a few hours (should have the same effect as soaking them whole, right?) and finally, you could still blend cooked lentils with more water for that batter-consistency.
How do you keep them from sticking to skillet?
The oil you spread in the pan before cooking helps with that.
Can I grind the dark lentils in a vita mix blender?
I’m using a vitamix in the video. But I’m not sure how well the skins will do in this type of recipe.
What spices can I add, to add more taste?
Cumin would be an easy start. A dash of coriander, chili powder, paprika
Could you tell me how many carbs are in each flatbed
Sorry, Not a clue.
First 👍🏻 my love
I wonder if you can do it with chickpeas...
Yep! That’s very similar to socca. I have that video on the channel. It’s harder to bring the chickpeas yourself so you’d have to buy chickpea flour.
Would this work with black lentils?
I think the skins might get in the way of the texture
Yeah I wish that was true but there’s no study I can find about soaking to kill lectins , it’s always boiling for 10 minutes. If you find more information please let me know thanks I appreciate it.
I’m just googling it but still, it’s possible to cook the lentils and then blend them with water to get the same consistency
If you soak the lentils over night it makes them more digestible.
How many calories does all of the crepes?
I don’t calculate calories but there are nutrition calculators online.
Awww I'm Moroccan and I'm so sorry you got ripped off for that Ras El Hanout but don't worry I'm sure you can use it in sooooo many recipes💕
Thank you! I've been giving it away for YEARS and I'm closer to a manageable amount. Sometimes I substitute it for cinnamon in baking recipes.
lentil is know as the dark flat beans.....the split lentils u using is call dall.
Yeah I’ve tried that cooking destroys the consistency once it’s cooked it won’t work. The 10 minutes of cooking changes it
Blergh. Do cooked, dehydrated lentils exist?
How to use a cast iron for this..mine came, out gross. Also, your recipe is off..filled with water. I followed it to the t. Broke up and no cohesion. Can’t believe others got flatbread out of this extremely watered down recipe..screwed up my CI pan, washing a nightmare..
it isn't cooking in the middle😢
Like, gooey and raw?
Add a little chickpea flour or fiber
what are erbs ??
Plant seasonings like parsley, cilantro, basil, dill, rosemary, verbena, mint, thyme, oregano, etc.
@@CookingCompanionTV Ah you mean herbs.
@@horserider9578 let me guess…. You are American and don’t understand English
u have beautiful eyes
Beware!!!! Uncooked soaked (over 10 hours) red lentils in baked flatbread caused me at least 2 unpleasant and scary side effects for 2 days!
Great recipe. Why go vegan though?
In general, I label things vegan that qualify as such, as a way to more clearly call out those options within my content for the vegan community.
Veganism is to prevent exploitation of animals in any shape or form. Animals are able to feel pain just like humans, so it's not ethical to kill them to consume their meat or to use animal-derived materials in products or to profit off them in circuses or zoos or aquariums etc. Some people become vegan for health or environmental reasons, but I think the main reason should be to minimize animal exploitation as much as possible.
Your eyes are AI, right?
interesting question....not sure what it means? Like, am I a robot? (I'm not)
Another clickbait recipe that doesnt work!
What doesn't work?
I made it with some lentil flour I got from an Indian grocery store.
It worked fine and I liked the flatbread it made.
@@chronobot2001 what were the measurements of the flour you usedm
This is the absolute worst tasting and textured thing I've ever made. Waste of lentills. Anything else you can make with lentils will be far superior.
