Haywire mite works pretty well in here since it’s a permanent, a turn 1 blocker that sacrifices itself, and it can get rid of leylines on turn 2 if you don’t die by then
@@davidsantiago7808 Its hard for this deck, but automatically the Leyline can be removed. You can also drop a single Jace and it would still keep working. A comment of appreciation. I played MTG when it was first released way back when and the other iteration of the MTG video game which I actually preferred. Well then the answer is “yes”, he gets it back in his hand The casting of the copy is part of the resolution of the Chapter 3 trigger. The copied spell finishes resolving first, then the Chapter ability leaves the stack
@@MuhahahahazThe *casting* of the spell happens during the resolution of the trigger, but the spell still has to resolve. As you can see from the video, the saga sacs itself before the spell resolves.
No. The player who orders the replacement effects is the affected object's controller (or owner if it has no controller) or the affected player. The objects affected by both Valgavoth and Leyline of the Void are cards owned by your opponent, so your opponent gets to order them.
Watch him have a hella long brick streak against all except mono red the next day. Just because wotc doesnt like when Monored favoritism backfires on them
This deck lost 5 out of 6 games for me sofar : all 6 opponents of them of course were graveyard attacking decks - because the matchmaker just works that way. Problem with just 4 win cons in the deck is that they never show up in time - despite desperate milling, and then a simple urborg scavenger will unravel the whole strategy. In the rare occasion when they do, they get easily disposed (...if you managed to survive that long). The only deck I beat was a poor green black deck with some undefined strategy, where I decided to Jace on them instead of me and just got lucky... As a follow up - just doubling the number of big bad creatures in the deck and removing a flood maw, wail, jace & cut down seems to work a lot better - at the expense of possibly losing a bit more often to mono-red - but now the deck is indeed fun to play!
The problem with all in mono red aggro isnt that its strong. Strong aggro decks are arguably good for the meta. Its how piss easy and braindead it is to play for how strong it is. A person playing mtg arena for 2 months can slap together mono red and hit mythic. Thats the problem
its the 9th of the month. I just hit Mythic playing only Historic. I am running an all in red deck with leyline. 12 scamp effects, 14 pumps 4 slickshot and 8 thud effects. with the leyline and 18 land the deck has an insane chance of making a turn 2 kill, and still a decent amount of turn 3 wins. I never play more than my 15 wins in a day. red leyline is broken and should not have been printed....
Every time I see Deep-Cavern Bat come out, I am always just THIS close to conceding right there. Bc even if I win the match, it’s just not fun and I feel like I’m crawling out of the depths of hell trying to do the minimal to win against any of the 3 deck types that run it

I think this deck is interesting, but losing to a single Lilliana of The Veil is ridiculous.
Or any removal spells really, it's a very fun deck, but it's predictable and ineffective
Watch him have a hella long brick streak against all except mono red the next day. Just because wotc doesnt like when Monored favoritism backfires on them
I havent played MTG for too long so why would the leyline he has be helpful for this deck? seems like it can backfire if you want to use their cards
Mertz Burg
Altanak is the first card in a very long time that made me interested in Standard.
The problem with all in mono red aggro isnt that its strong. Strong aggro decks are arguably good for the meta. Its how piss easy and braindead it is to play for how strong it is. A person playing mtg arena for 2 months can slap together mono red and hit mythic. Thats the problem
Terror tide topdeck was INSANE!
I've played against this with Simic Crab and the Leyline totally shut me down. So it's more than just mono-red hate.
its the 9th of the month.
Cool story
@@mruntouchable187 I found it interesting too
Every time I see Deep-Cavern Bat come out, I am always just THIS close to conceding right there. Bc even if I win the match, it’s just not fun and I feel like I’m crawling out of the depths of hell trying to do the minimal to win against any of the 3 deck types that run it
"Playing honest magic".......
Early squad!
