12:33 the reason for that is because of frametime. Frametime is the measure of how long one frame takes to render in milliseconds. If you have 100 fps but 40ms of frametime, that's gonna feel choppy and is terrible. The ideal is 16ms. You can display this and other metrics in real time if you use MSI Afterburner+Rivatuner. 20:28 your move is the coolest move out of the ones I've seen.
ON the note of the hood, maybe try setting the controller "lock" position a few degrees up. Just enough to keep it at a point where it's not touching the main body of the truck but not enough to make it look broken. Also, the cook bot is well worth the grind. Not only is he cute as hell, the food is worth the grind.
Bro, truck is super sick. Easily the best out of all the SM guys I've seen. I genuinely like it more than the other guys. Your style of video and pacing is interesting and fun to watch. I'm just a little sad that you only post once a week but I understand you're busy and such so waiting is definently worth it. A bit of advice though, both the trees and the caged farmers have welding points on the base so you can weld them directly to your truck instead of refining the tree on the spot or using a crane arm to lift the caged farmers into your truck bed. Easily now my 2nd favorite SM youtuber right after Kan. Keep up the awesome content dude. Subbed Edit: fixed a typo
The spot you picked is pretty cool and could be defense because water hurts most bots. The cause of your lag could be the truck suspension, try driving without it to see if it helps with lag. The cook bot is ok but, it much simpler to just eat what you grow. The cook bot takes several ingredients to make one piece of food, that one piece does give lots of food/water but, the about of ingredients you need to make it could just be eaten to give you the same amount of food/water. The truck looks good 👍 hope this helps.
Of all the big rigs I've seen people build, yours is my favorite. Never mind the fact that my favorite color is cyan, but I love the hood and sleeper cab. I've hardly seen anyone add a sleeper cabin.
I believe the hood (or shall i say bonnet for my British self) doesn’t cause lag because scrap mechanic only calculates collisions between different objects (which is why it rubbing on the cab constantly is okay) and bearings only cause lag in large quantities and between two or more contraptions, which is confirmed when kAN and scrapman do creation videos is the creations have double wishbone suspension for example, and they collide/get close to each other, that’s when you get some serious lag.
Lol I can't unsee Burt Reynolds in that sign now! The big peninsula is a great base location! I haven't found anything like that on my world. It will be pretty easy to protect from raids on your farm.
Cool video Kosmo :D. Since you have so much stone, you can make a wall of bricks. They're good for defense and don't require as much grinding as for example tier 3 metal.
did you know that you can stack the bearings on the drill trailer arm? so the drill spins faster, im still not sure if it works as i was expecting but please give it a try if you want
I would like to see a heavy underwater car with a stabilized cockpit that can quickly piston the seat straight up to the surface for air. Gotta go collect that oil!
Dude... I tried to build a semi pretty much just like that a few days ago. Failed miserably. Decided to build a buggy instead, and have been coming up with more and more ideas for it. and man! You got so lucky with that deadend. It's the perfect spot for a base.
Hey Kosmo I really like your Flatbed and I know it could be useful for me in my survival game, so I’m wondering if it minds you to explain how you built it. Thank you And also, don’t compare yourself to other youtubers like kAN or Scrapman who already has the spud gun and raided a warehouse, everyone has his own Rythm so keep yours and don’t rush, it’s completely useless
The engines have numerous factors that determine their effectiveness for a given task. A given engine has speed, power, and "resistance" values. The resistance is simply how much force will be applied to keep the bearing from spinning due to outside force. Gas engine bearings have zero resistance, allowing the wheels to spin freely if unpowered. Electric engines have a high but not infinite resistance. Anyways, then there is speed and power. I THINK the engine has a desired speed that is decreased by the net torque forces. Net torque means how much the engine power is countered by opposing force (friction). And weight factors into gravity and inertia vectors which increases friction. So yes, weight of the vehicle increases friction which counteracts the positive power torque. But this "opposing force" may also ADD to the power torque like when you are going down a hill. Electric engine "resistance" works to negate opposing friction, so they don't accelerate much thanks to downhill movement. And controller bearings are built on the same system but with extremely high resistance. Yay physics programming. Some of this info may not be accurate especially for survival mode engines which have upgrades, I'm going off of what I remember from messing with the smart engine mod which let you customize engine traits.
The eletric one is the less efficient in this case, due to size and cost, a similar bearing engine would never need any kind of maintenance, and the only resistance is the mass of the car, but top speed might not change, gas engines are basically unlimited but would just blow at certain rpms, which you can solve with better materials. I don't know if it's the same in the game
ow man, that truck is Cool.... but the wheel alignment is a bit off set NB: i have the notification bell on, but some reason i didn't get it. i miss this AWESOME survival series. as always, keep up the good work
weight maters because of how bearing work and friction on the Wheels, with more weight the wheels need more torque to move and the Eugenie consumes more gas. in the script the engine consumes gas based on time per bearing connected. the wheels have a set friction and if you have to little weight on them they will spin like crazy and get no traction if you put to much weight on it they grip the ground really well but the bearing have a set amount of weight they can move (that is why when you build a really heavy creation on a bearing it starts tipping even if its locked)
@@ricky107_ Oh yeah, your right. Because the weight puts pressure on the bearings making the engine have to work harder to spin the bearings and use more fuel. Good thinking!
@@cadetkohr5508 no bro, that's acceleration formula. More mass needs either more force or more time to get to the same speed, so you use the engine longer
Hey cosmo I think I’m early sorry for not tuning in recently I had a lot of grade 6 online classes recently so yeah had to do lots of homework and stuff hope you remember me from the face reveal vid...but yeah I think I will be here more😁😁
if you want to get rid of lots of that scrap stone block you can make it into bricks which is what i always do. i usually save some and then make that into concrete.
It’d need to power the back wheels and piston engines are so bulky, he wouldn’t have much space to put them. Plus, with the new update, fuel really doesn’t matter that much.
I made a similar set up just connect the rotor under the seat to the seat and you can control left and right its more like a button hold to stay but turns way faster and i only need 1 controler 2 buttons and 3 rotors to get the equivalent with a shock ofc.
The truck is super dope (the hood is awsome)
It's great. The realistic hood is worth the possible glitchyness

Thanks for great video. Hope you are doing great!

Love the hood animation! :-)
do this again it is so cool

Hey Kosmonaut, i rebuilded you truck in 3 days using only screenshots i took from the video and it looks So dope and good looking

Cattle semi? That might come in handy in the future. Like a milk farm or something. 🤔
Well worth the wait! Keep on trucking, bud!

I love the horn idea.. definitely steal that :D
Wow, awesome
your truck looks 100% better then mine right now lol
Cool truck, the dress bot is decent, but the cook bot saves you soooo much stress.
The truck is very good and nice
Komsmo, You are my favorite UA-camr EVER!! Keep up the good work!!
hey man love the content and cant wait for them to update the game somemore

Attach the mining trailer to the truck and then attach the original trailer to the mining trailer :D

take rusted metal block for your base - they look nice and easy to get

Good location statically
I love yer truck! I hope to make a mobile base about that same size.
Love your videos, keep it up.
But I hope you will make a new let's play with KaN. Would be awesome
Wait till the cargo truck noob vs pro, the battle will be fair
they are called totebots at 4:58

Oooh nice spot to build a base there, very big and only 1 side from raids :)
The truck is awesome and the water from those pipes could be a defense because I think water harms Hay Bots.
Love the vids
i would call his rig Big Rick the Rig
I like the big rig dude! Also, what do you use to talk to kAN when you do noob vs pro? Do you use discord or what? Thanks!
I think discord to, since in one of the survival episodes where kan joined you can hear the discord sound of hanging up.
You should put a piston engine in the BIG RIG
It’d need to power the back wheels and piston engines are so bulky, he wouldn’t have much space to put them. Plus, with the new update, fuel really doesn’t matter that much.
Dope truck.
You should record while grinding so if something happens you can put it in a vid
Green bot - "Tote Bot"
Orange-ish - "Hay Bot"
Blue bot - "Tape Bot"
Im not sure what the Big Red bot is called ahhh "Big Red" is kinda good
