13 seconds. gotta love comming back to a world trying figure out what was going on. haha i was having a tipping problem with the truck i build and ended up makin rear suspension like a semi and changed the pivot on the steering and it flattened out.
I'm surprised that the ramps weren't left floating, with a bar underneath them to catch them. The controls could have been left at lvl 2, with the pistons and the bar under the ramps moving them. This has another advantage - the ramps could cope with uneven terrain, because they would be on free bearings, not set to a specific angle
That's a good idea, and much simpler! I like the idea of them adapting to the terrain elevation. My concern was free-floating components that might cause lag, which is why I did what I did. Might give your idea a try though!
I don't remember if it worked or not, but I remember making a suggestion back when you first built the truck on setting the default angle on the hood of the truck so that it's not technically colliding with the rest of the truck. If that did work, may want to try doing that with the ramp system too. The way it's made, it will still be in collision, but setting the default angle right should make less collision, reducing some lag maybe?
19:50 if it spawns inside a tile, like a small rock, it gets pushed out or falls through the ground and spawns up high and it starts rolling and gets away from the farmer camp.
There was an advertisement with shake in scrap mechanic and the quote was free the woc inside you. And a scrap mechanic guy drank it and turned into a badass. These ads is weird but better than the ads that promote their game 😆😆😅😅
If you add a beacon to the truck, you won't lose it in the forest. (Although a beacon takes a bunch of room. Maybe just add it when you'll be out of the truck a lot.) You should add a bed to the truck, so that you respawn near your vehicle instead of way back at your base.
Kosmo do a multiplayer multiepisode survival series using PvP mod on the workshop and do a 2 vs 2 multiplayer survival ..... you will get some lives 2,3,4,5etc and first team to be use all lives loses you will create weapons , cars etc and a base for your team on the different sides of the map .... this will be a lot of fun
adding locks that hold the loos ends of stuff like your ramps helps to stop glitches and holds it wile you drive reducing lag...like rotating hooks holdong them to the bed
IDEA:Try to build a stand for the atv in the truck bed if u doing farm u can decend rather than delete them and if u dont what stander i mean is to hold the atv in place rather than moving all over the bed
I made my survival transportation truck a van with a liftgate, and i love it :] i sized fhe gate to lift up farmers but it also works with wocs (drive slowly with the wocs) I wanted to do something i hadn't seen before :] so i made it a closed van instead of a flatbed
so just a small hint ,most tractors (when talking about trucks but loads of normal tracktors have them aswell) have back facing work lights ,which they use to help see the trailer/what they are (un)loading ,maybe also do something like this and place 1 or 2 lights on the back of the truck on a separate switch and activate them when you're doing somthing in the bed (back story was so you know that it's also an idea they use IRL because I know how much you love some degree of realism in your designs)
also to go further into this idea ,maybe you can also place one on the end of your crane (the last arm so it's pointing towards where you're pointing (use the arm not the bucket because it will just be easier when the light is there)) ,just some hints to make working trough out the night a bit easier
A thought with the ramps for the truck. Why use the controller to lift them. Put loops near the back of the truck for them to rest on and use the piston motion to have them auto raise and lower.
Not a bad idea :) Not sure how the game likes free-floating bearings and parts banging up against each other, but it would certainly save the need for a controller!
from my experience when I transport farmers I accidently took out my weld tool and I saw that the cage has a weld spot for some of them and you can put them in your inventory
@Kosmonaut balers form the warehouse may be a good addition i think they have the same buoyancy and weight stats as the palette crates if you run out of them I wonder I manged to make 3 Island maps I mean islands enof to make bases on them but not so big so if you want them I can upload them
This truck is cool! not sure what else you really need on it. unless you want to mount a spud turret or something, go kill some of the big red guys with it.
The farmers some time spawn in the ground when the camps are surrounded by rocks and then fall from the sky like everything else that falls below the ground and that could have made them role off

Put outriggers on the truck with cacti on the ends to prevent it from sliding while you're away.

The truck now is like an offroad truck minus the raised suspension kit. A mobile crane and a sideboard bed from snowrunner
