oh my god i just spent 6hour with this video. i'm exhausted, and better for it. i can now wander around the fretboard ... this has cleared up stuff i 'learned' months ago that i didnt quite get.
I'm 3000 miles from NYC and my neighborhood has sirens all day, every day. Watching this video made me feel right at home...sadly. But thanks, Sean, for distracting me with your neat fretboard magic :)
Damn it Sean, you just taught everyone how I fake mad guitar skills. Cats outta the bag. Kidding , it’s actually a cool pattern to jam with, super accessible those notes on high e snd b strings and easy to slide back to the c snd a minor chords. Thanks for continuing to sprinkle in beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons on your channel
We are all lifelong beginners, there is always something we don't know or we have underestimated over the years. Music Theory must be revised from time to time
Amazing. I figured it out!!!! (Not the guitar "trick") I mean - I figured out who Sean reminds me of! Some might have no clue who this is, but . . . if you've lived long enough, you remember a comedian who took the world by storm back in the 80's-90's and beyond. That's right. I feel like I have been taking cyber guitar lessons from STEVE MARTIN! That's a compliment, Sean. If you don't know who that is, check out the new hit series, Only Murders in the Building. He's the one with white hair. Better yet - go back and watch The Three Amigos; Saturday Night Live; King Tut; The Jerk; Roxanne; Leap of Faith; and too many others to name. Martin, you may know, also a fine art collector, and a darn good banjo player. Anyway - Great work with this instruction, Sean!!! I have learned so much watching/listening to your videos. Thank you. ( And . . . if YOU haven't already heard it - your voice; quirky humor and nuance is almost a carbon copy of the voice of Steve Martin in his way younger days. Maybe that's just another reason why I enjoy your videos so much.) KEEP ON! :)
Very useful info. I’ve been playing a while but appreciate covering the basic like stuff immensely. Honestly, I don’t think anything is basic on guitar or music in general. It’s ALL important blocks 4 building walls of sound. ❤🎉😮
Hey I'm in the city tomorrow man. You doing any performances or anything this week in the area? Would be awesome to catch up. You've been a huge inspiration to my guitar playing.😊

Loving the NYC backdrop. Great lesson brother
Thanks for venturing slowly out of the shire. One wouldn't want to unintentionally drop their pick into the volcano, er sound hole in their haste.

Pompous tones of the elves haha! Who would want to spend any time around them?

Welcome back from overseas and thanks for another cool lesson. Is it wrong that I want to do all of the things you taught with B-half-diminished?
Late to the party. 🤯 Great insights as always. I learn so much from your vids. I just wish that my brain was more sponge than sieve.
Cool Lesson. FYI: NY isn't Rivendell. It's Mordor.
Pub with no beer, did you find it. Nice cheers
A pity you did not dare to go more flamenco on that C/E phrygian scale, dude !

“Your biggest fan, Stan”
Thanks for the latest lesson on starting to use the entire fretboard. You must miss Ireland.
Surely “the darkest depths of Mordor ?” ( apologies to Page /Plant )
oh pleases, take us into the Depths of Mordor, Nay, lets Ryde into those depths!!!!
I bet he's trying to launch his stand-up career in the comedy epicenter of the world
Austin Texas? Lol

Also, I love “Rings of Power” hopefully u like “House of Dragons” as well
i'm very sad to see no mention of lifetime casting aspirations in description bio
Alip_ba_ta
last time i was this early i had to baby sit a whiny hobbit and his crappy jewelry
Gatekeeping? Rings of power objectively sucks, despite inevitable protests to the contrary.
Why does it suck? I haven’t seen it yet. No spoilers please! Lol.
