Thank you so much! I just ordered my pocket size Art Tool Kit (and I couldn't resist the Demi Palette, too!) earlier this week. It's due to arrive in two more days (but who's counting?). You just validated that expenditure!!! I'm still very much a newbie to watercolor, but I find I WANT to take my drawing/painting material with me wherever I go. The more artists I follow, the more reading I do, the more I realize that drawing and/or painting everyday is the best way to grow my craft.
That is so exciting! Yes everyday practice will excellerate you skills. Don't be afraid to just play, not everything has to be a finished piece to hang on your wall. I still adore my tool kit and have it with me all the time!
Omg, I just stumbled onto this...I also have the same size Rite In The Rain cover, and just ordered and received a Midori A6 grid notebook for my doodles and tangles, and have plenty of room for my pencils, fountain pens, eraser, water brush etc. The cover I've had for years and it is bomb proof...is now my travel art kit...
You cannot go wrong with rite in the rain! Art toolkit also sell the palettes separately so if you ever need a small palette I can't recommend this enough!
I recommend getting a nite eyes carabiner with the locking mechanism or using a small pad lock to connect the case to your bag. I had my art tool kit ripped off my handbag in the city where I live.
@@creativenatureadventures9338 Well i actually found the homeless person "bragging" to his friend about his "new" money bag... So I asked him where he got it because mine went missing less than a block from where he was sitting. So I got the now damaged case/cover and one pen back. He had hidden the rest in his shopping trolley. So I lost my pocket palette, water brush, and half filled moleskine as well as several other pocket travel brushes and a couple fountain pens. Total loss estimated at $700. Insurance deductible was $500 so not worth claiming. Police refused to walk less than 500 meters from their station to talk to the thief.
@@creativenatureadventures9338 I replaced some stuff from stock but haven't had the funds to replace my kolinsky blend travel brushes nor to repair the tear in the case. It was literally torn or cut off the carabiner by the thief while my bag was attached to my little ones buggy. I had walked less than a foot way from it when she fell over playing in the playground outside of our church. My buggy was literally right next to several of our elders and my husband and within a foot or two of me. My bag was not a purse and just contained church things but the case likely looked like a wallet to him.
Zenica204, when I sketch in the city I have a pencil, an eraser, a sketch book in a gallon size ziplock bag. This slips easily into my black crossbody shoulder bag. I take nothing that will attract attention to me.
@@cjenkins8785 Unfortunately for me what happened was similar to having a crossbody bag cut from one's person. It can happen even if you take nothing to attract specifically. This wasn't in a bad area either. It was literally right outside of a church.
This palette is awesome....but with this case it make no sense.....when a normal travel tin would fit fine... This palette should be in something way smaller and thinner. Like a small sketchbook with a cover that holds this, a water brush and a pencil/pen.
Yes. The pocket kit is 88 US dollars. It comes with the moleskin sketchook, a ruler, fine line sharpie, and pocket palette (sans paints) It really is an awesome kit!
Love then pen case idea on outer spine. Very thorough review. I love mine as well!

Oh great. Do you do any other crafts besides drawing and painting ? What is the craft?
@@nickorange4881 I do also sculpt. But Nature Journaling and illustration are my favorites right now.
You are correct on all counts!!!! So easy to drop into a purse and pick up and play!
