In the world championship 2006 videogame, my main deck against the AI was last turn turbo, as it had like a 95%+ win rate against the idiot AI in very short amounts of time.
This was brilliant, resolving last turn and self destruction button. I'm glad it was MBT piloting it, he makes it that much better with how animated he gets.

The deck couldn't even win against a no-show, you needed to pay real money for it to win in this interpretation.

There are many cards with complex reasons to be banned. Then you have stuff like Self-Destruct Button and Last Turn where the reason is basically “can you all just forget we ever printed this, please?”
It's also a 1400 attack monster not under it besides for the history of Yu-Gi-Oh/Jank they're net decking to show of the decks of the time as people knew them more often than not.

MBT had 2400, and the most Cimo could do would be 2300 off GAF if he used Dark Hole. Going -4 to still be 100 damage off lethal(and opening himself to possible Last Turn/Self Destruct Button next turn) wouldn't be the best play, especially when most of MBT's flips are milling cards.

Jank deck for a later format: Black Garden Slifer. When you keep both of those on the field, your opponent can't successfully summon anything unless it has over 4000 ATK. I first encountered it as a Cyberdark build, since Cyberdarks have low original ATK but fairly high on-field ATK. But I imagine it could also be a stun for a non-battle win condition (burn, Exodia, deck out). Or it could be combined with direct attackers.
Weird to see goblin beat in the history of jank. It was the most popular and common to see deck at locals, regionals, and sneak peaks during this time where I played.
What shocks me the most is that Last Turn legitimately doesnt have a clause that ends the game immediately upon the battle resolution. You could theoretically activate a ton of stuff in your graveyard after it resolves before ending the special Battle Phase.
