They just don't know that Brain Control didn't have the 'normal summonable monsters only' restriction until an errata in 2017 or so, and this is just how the card functioned for many years. I think it's pretty cool that newer players are learning more about the game's history in more ways than just seeing older decks from older eras.

I believe you call Bestiari off Prohibition instead of Gyazarus, as it locks them out of Gyazarus unless they have Prisma and prevents Bestiari from coming in to blown the Prohibition up.
Correct, at the time Prohibition had a ruling clarification that defined what it meant to not be able to "use" a card. The declared card couldn't even be used as a discard for cost etc. It was primarily used to call Bestiari. It actually kept Prisma in check as well because although you could still send Bestiari to the GY Prisma's name could not change, essentially locking them out of Gyzarus.
@@Ryanide_ I actually experienced the not being able to discard the prohibited card but the Prisma interaction sounds absolutely insane. Yu-Gi-Oh and it's weird rulings am I right?

You're absolutely right. You're forced to use 3 Wulf, which is the definition of a Garnet, you have to pray you don't mill your spell/traps and that the cards you do mill are the Lightsworns you want, and on top of that, because of how much you mill you might want to use 60 cards to not deckout, but that hurts your consistency even more.
@@BillyBob-xx5jr There's an argument for using 2 Wulfs, still high odds of milling it while greatly reducing the odds of drawing multiple Wulfs. 1 Wulf is usually easy to get out of your hand with Lumina or Solar Recharge. The list they showed in this episode also didn't show off Beckoning Light, which can load your hand with multiple Honest and JD.

Love this series, I really think it’s the best way to learn Yu-Gi-Oh! I’m extremely glad we did eventually see a Ritual and a proper fusion summon since those are kind of core mechanics. My only disappoinment is not seeing Cyber Stein before his ban, I do believe we’ve seen a proper display on why every other banned card was banned.

Prohibition was actually a great side deck option for the time. Glad Beast? Call Bestiari, they can't ever bring it to board (which would also pop spell traps) DAD? Call Dark Armed himself, can't hit the board. Extremely heads up call for a card that only saw a small amount of time in the spotlight and if the modern day were slower I'm sure would see more play and be limited potentially.

I feel like, more than a lot of other archetypes, Lightsworn is a heavily luck-reliant deck. You kind of live or die by the quality of your mills.
Not to mention sometimes you open a good hand, others you open with all your Wulfs and no way to dump them.
That's why I play 60 card decks.
