👇HOW DO WE STAY SAFE FROM RABIES VIRUS:
1. Vaccinate all pets and domesticated animals. The rabies vaccine is 100% Effective!!! One of the best vaccines created. And this is why it is mandatory for our domesticated pets to have the rabies vaccine done every year or every 3 years.
2. Vaccinate people at risk such as veterinarians and wildlife experts working in the fields. Some vaccines last a life time and humans can get their titers checked, where as some people at risk with low titers need to be re-vaccinated.
3. Educate people about this disease in schools and universities and on the news
4. Reduce human risk and deaths by having post exposure prophylaxis treatments.
5. Follow strict quarantine protocols if there is an animal suspected to have rabies or has come in contact with a suspected rabid animal.
