Thank you, I did your calibrating method and it is PERFECT! I was getting jitters on the pitch and roll and tried calibrating the "traditional" way and still was having issues. No more, dead center, no jitters whatsoever. Thank you!
i have never left a comment on anyones video before and i have been on youtube watching rc stuff for pretty much a decade!!! Shame that only about 5000 people have watched this, but this video helped me out so much that i felt compelled to praise you for a job well done!!! thank you so much!!(ive watched over a half dozen videos on the subject and never really got a good grasp on it until now.)
You made my Tx perfect. Using the old calibration technique - hitting the corners with the sticks - I got a throttle stick that stopped at -96%, and an aileron stick that stopped at -91%. After using this calibration technique - hitting the centers, not the corners - I got full travel - and now I have zero issues with my brand spanking new TX16S - replacing my venerable, and much used, QX7S - which has a failing menu/page/exit button. Thx for the video.
Again, a real winner. Question, if you have time. Do you have a video that discusses Dual Rates to dial down sensitivity? I thought I had done it right, but are now only works on high rate. Hmmm. Thank you again for your easy to understand videos.
Hey Steve..thank for the vid. No matter if I calibrate, choose extended limits and crank the outputs to -150/150, the end points in beta flight only go to 1074 on the low end to 1925 on the high end. Any thoughts on why? Thanks.
When i go in channel outputs menu on tx16s i get values from -512 to +512, where you (and everyone else on videos) is getting -100 and +100... what is wrong with my tx16s?
Hello sir.. have a problem..hoping you can help.. I was trying to set my endpoints in betaflight like you did on the outputs screen...but on betaflight in the receiver tab..the numbers on my sticks are like flickering around...what would cause this an how can I fix this...makes it hard to set my endpoints with this happening...thanks
Thx for all the info great! One question in your video for us kinda new to beta flight how are you hooking it to your receiver? I'm assuming on top are you clicking usb then? Thx
when doin the calibration in betaflight , i would need to connect to my computer correct...ive never calibrated my radio...so this is why im asking...sorry to sound dumb lol
You are doing a great job. I had no idea how involved it was going to be when I baught this transmitter and which I also baught Diatone GT r349 because it seems to go pretty fast according to all the reviews that I saw. I want speed. I will be flyings line of sight until I can get enough money for the google that I
Sorry I didn't finish my text. The phone screwed up. Anyway want to get the skyzone 030 because they seem to be getting pretty good reviews. This is all providing that ever get thing this running and also if I don't lose it. Because supposably there is suppose to be a lead to plug the buzzer in. I don't know if I got an upgraded one or an old one. Because there is no plug and the camera is not green like all the ones that I see. I sent 2 of them back already and they keep sending the same thing back. This all started with buying a Hubsan h501s which I really do enjoy flying. Four people that I know ended up buying them after seeing my. I did get really good at flying though. But that was after loosing one and one going in the pool. Which was able to fix that one because because I had parts from another one. Sorry for the big story. I just wanted to say thank you for your video because I have had this thing for a couple weeks now and until today this the closest I have gotten to get this thing running. I'm at the point where you hook it up to Beta flight. But it would be cool if I could talk to you. Got watch some more videos. So you are doing a great job at explaining it. Keep up the good work. I must be so close to getting this thing running. That's all thanks to you.
Thanks will be doing this asap. Also will be wondering if I get same results. Im fooling arround with gliders n china foam so then you adjust outputs for every model to match once calib is tuned in ?
@@TahoeSteve I am starting out & Im fooling arround with gliders n some china foam, as I said before just trying to learn from my pc at home here and facebook and I will get hold of the wrong end of the stick so to speak but so far I think have done well and learnt a lot.
@Brian Ramsey keep learning, this hobby is good for that. You will be able to test your endpoints on the "Channel Monitor" Screen. To get there, Long Press bottom of the wheel; Select Monitors. Then move your sticks to the endpoints and note the us numbers. Should read 1000 - 1500 - 2000 like in the video. As for your other question, although I understand it is possible, you won't be using Beta flight with a fixed wing aircraft. github.com/betaflight/betaflight/wiki/Setup-for-a-Fixed-Wing-Aircraft

Appreciate the kind words, thank you!
Encyclopedia Tahoe Steve, another oh wow moment.
Thanks for the kind words. As long as people find them helpful, I will keep making more videos.

Tim, so glad to hear that. I always got wonky readings doing it the other way. Enjoy that radio!
I hope you get a lot more views in time. Such great videos. Short, to the point, very informative. Thanks again!
I appreciate that! That is exactly what I strive for in my videos!
Thanks again Steve! As always your videos are well thought out and extremely helpful!
Your videos are amazingly detailed and absolutely to the point. An absolute beginner thanks you for your videos.
Happy to hear that!
Was gonna use this for computor simulator and noticed i really need to calibrate to clear out the deadzone issues ill be doing this tomorrow 🔥
Thanks for the reminder. I had done it with my qx7 but only once. I purchased the eachine tx16s and needed to do this.
The first minute was you talking about other videos, to the point would be lovely.
Mr. Steve. Very Informative. Question..How come on my output screen, I don't have the direction arrows on each channel.
you had me subbed at TRIM CENTAHD🔥😂🤘
LOL

I have not done one but check out Painless 360. He does a lot with airplanes, and I know he has covered dual rates in depth.
Incredible vids dude
Glad to help
What if after you calibrated the betaflight channel ouput ranges from 1150 to 1840 and you cant set more than 100% in the outputs tab to fix that.
There is an internet function for setting 1840 as 2000 and 1150 to 1000 cant remember the name but you can find it on the web
Hi sir iv been following along not I have no stick are trim movement like u have right here on this calibration nothing moves
why didnt u do mid point callibration on throttle ?

Make sure you are calibrating your sticks correctly. Remember to center your trims. Move the sticks slowly as in the vid.
@@TahoeSteve thanks Steve. I ended up setting the rxrange in betaflight. This appears to happen only with the smaller DSMX bind and fly quads.

It’s critical to adjust the end points to exact 1000 and 2000??
Hi great vid. I have just acquired TX16S. Kinda in the dark. How did you get that computer screen? Tks.
my tx16s is different .maybe i need to update the firmware :) thanx anyway for the video Tahoe , much love from sth aussie outback
T16 why my throttle down but in betaflight its in 1500 how do I adjust this?
Do you use outputs to alter switches..arming and flight modes? Or no need?
i bind receiver and radio, but it does not work
TX16S should pay you. You just made a full TX16S course.
thanks. they put my vids on their website which helps!
how do you even connect tx16s to betaflight? all i see is my bluetooth connections nothing about tx16s.. thanks
you don't, that is a receiver
when doin the calibration in betaflight , i would need to connect to my computer correct...ive never calibrated my radio...so this is why im asking...sorry to sound dumb lol
Aren't they calibrated out of the box?
To a degree, I guess. But I want to take every step I can to make flying easy and predictable.

LOS is a great skill. I flew LOS for years before ever trying goggles. I see some amazing FPV pilots that would be lost without their goggles.
Thanks will be doing this asap. Also will be wondering if I get same results. Im fooling arround with gliders n china foam so then you adjust outputs for every model to match once calib is tuned in ?
i am only familiar with multirotors and betaflight, but yes, i adjust the outputs for every model in BF.
you.are.awesome.
I can't make mine exactl;y 2000 for the upper end. It's either 1999 or 2001.
How do i go about this?
Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue. Example Ali low is 1020 and high 1979. Something seems off or I'm missing something
Very good ✌️😉👍👌
Thanks ✌️
Is there a reason my endpoint skips over 2000? The closest I can get them (all channels) is 1999.... pretty annoying lol
you can change the midpoint on the radio as well as the endpoints.
Also never used betaflight as I dont have drones etc so can I just use betaflight with tx alone or does it need a rx plugged in?
What do you fly?

see what?
U have setup for helicopter?
I don't. I have not flown a heli in about 10 years, sorry.
