You can also use OpenTX Companion to sync the SD card files instead of drag and drop in Windows Explorer like Steve does. I ran into the same jam and happened to find a spare 32GB card but that seemed like overkill so I poked around and found the sync option. I backup up the original SD Card files to my computer just in case before attempting the sync.
Hi Steve. Have been following your instructions through religiously for updating Open TX and the SD card contents for my TX16S. But have stumbled at the last hurdle. When I try to copy and paste the downloaded contents of the SD card to the root directory of the SD card in the radio as you show, because there are many files with the same name, I am being asked if I want to merge or replace them. Just need to be sure on what I should do at this point. Thanks.
Good question, and I don't know the right answer. Hopefully someone will chime in here. I select overwrite them because it seems weird to have to do this step in the first place. If you have custom sounds for hello and others, you will mess these up, so if you create your own custom sounds, have them in another folder to put on the SD card after you overwrite as previously stated.
@@TahoeSteve Hi Steve. A follow up on the above. Im using a Mac so possibly the options are a little different when I went to drag and drop the contents of the SD card onto the radio.
