One of my favorites is the Great Falls Bridge where Junior and Mikey do that favor for old man Capri and Rusty Irish learns he can't fly as well as where Mahaffey decides to cooperate to get Hesh his funds. Only a couple of scenes but they were memorable. Crazy it's been 25 years. I feel old lol
I was a little slow realizing that this year marks 25 years since The Sopranos first aired. They're running the show on HBO right now and that's when it hit me. I'm so grateful to have found this show when I did, as well as all of the entertainment and even comfort that The Sopranos has provided in my life. I am, and always will be a diehard fan of this series. I'm also grateful for finding Sopranos Blueprint last year. I love being a part of this community that allows me to share ideas about the show and to, more importantly, hear new thoughts and ideas that never would have occurred to me had I not found this channel. I know that I might be overly sentimental, I'm just grateful. Here's to a equally great 2024! Thanks SB.
You’re not overly sentimental at all! That’s part of what makes it all even more special…how the show is able to connect people from all over the world who would’ve most likely never crossed paths or communicated. 😃
@SopranosBlueprint you are too kind my dear! Absolutely 25 years and we will still be here admiring it 🤣 currently on Season 3 this week, the hustle never ends! 😜🥂
Good video! I love the Sopranos. Have you seen Michael Imperiolli's rock band ZOPA. I'd like to go to NYC and see him perform. The "Whitecaps" is located in Sea Bright, NJ. I know this because there's a nudist beach right down the road called Gunnison Beach at Sandy Hook. Lotta fun! I recommend it.
Thank you!! I have not seen his band live, but I did have the great privilege of meeting him & being a guest on the Talking Sopranos podcast a couple of years ago in one of the “Superfan” episodes 😃 he’s an awesome person!
Great job as always, Stephanie! I applaud your efforts to keep the series relevant and introduce it to new viewers! There are 2 additional places I would add to this list: (1) The Boardwalk; not only is it reminiscent of Tony's early memory of his father literally getting arrested in a funhouse, but its the setting of Tony's dreams in what I would argue is the best episode in the series Funhouse (S2, e13) Yes I know its blasphemy to not laud Pine Barrens as the best episode, but the last 5 minutes is a wonderful juxtaposition of the Sopranos wealth and extravagance vs. the people on whose backs Tony makes a living. (this deserves its own Sopranos Blueprint treatment!) (2) Northern NJ. Its not just the mob whacking people...a disproportionate number of people appear to die suddenly or of some gruesome malady borne from a life of breathing in fumes from burning fat, trash, second hand smoke, drugs, etc. Even funerals echo with the screeching of railroads and 18 wheelers. Compare this to the idyllic old age Uncle Pat enjoyed upstate on that farm. No wonder Tony decided to live in North Caldwell, far away from places like Barone Sanitation.
Those are other phenomenal picks! Thanks for your comment - appreciate your thoughtful insight and point of view - and re: the boardwalk, spot on!! A powerful location and extraordinary episode as a whole feels like an understatement. And the flashback scene in “To Save Us All For Satan’s Power” adds a whole other element of significance.
Can you make a list with filming locations? Lots of majestic scenery and views, all over NJ/NYC mostly. I forgot the restaurant Paulie and Johnny had lunch but it had that view of the bridge..def gotta stop by
@@SopranosBlueprint awesome, looking forward to it..I forget the website but i think if you type in "movie locations on Google", it'll come up. Thats how I secretly get the best nyc videos. Check out the last one I posted "verenzano bridge for sale" similar view.
Awesome trip down memory lane. Love your content! If I had to add an extra location to your list, it would be the executive game (even though the location it's played in fluctuates some, right? So that might be tricky/not count)
I know at least 15 out of the 25 real (or supposed locations) mentioned in this amazing video. It would be amazing to include the township associated with each spot. For example, Bada Bing is in Lodi (same as the real Satin Dolls).
Thank you for your comment and so glad you enjoyed the video! That’s a great idea - moving forward when I do videos focusing on particular locations, I’ll be sure to include their real-life names (if diff from the names on the show) and their specific locations - great suggestion 😃
It’s tough since most places don’t exist anymore. 26 would be the diner where Christopher is shot in the parking lot, in S-2, then meets the Jamba Juice lady in S-6 for some reason.
To play Devil’s advocate (see what I did there?!) 😉 I think that at some of these locations, there were happy wanderers, but they were most likely civilians.
@@SopranosBlueprint Let me rephrase that... Happy wanderers, yes, until the mobsters show up. Then it's conflict and misery in their wake.
