On September 18, 2020, it would have been James Gandolfini's 59th Birthday. The star of the hit HBO Series "The Sopranos" left this world too soon back in 2013, and today, the L.A. BEAST will pay tribute to the man, the myth, the legend himself, by standing in 20-25 spots where JG once stood in the show. Growing up in North Jersey (where most of the show was filmed) THe L.A. BEAST always thought it was pretty cool driving past places that were used as filming locations in the show. Here today, the L.A. BEAST will show how many of the filming locations have changed drastically over the past 21 years...as some buildings and structures no longer exist and in the process try to preserve the history of the remaining locations by making this video.

Never watched Sopranos (or Godfather), nor have no want to. Strictly here for the Beast's glowing enthusiasm.
When Soprano's came on on Sunday evening i used to shut the phones off and have a delicious Italian meal while watching my all time favorite show! Beast this video was really cool and fun trip down memory lane thank you.

Can you do the filming locations of 2001: A Space Odyssey?

Those locations are not in New Jersey and are all overseas. Friday the 13th was filmed in New Jersey and is an actual camp and the store in Clerks is an actual store.......its called Quik Stop and looks exactly like it did in the movie. A bunch of other famous movies, too.

Great vid man! I've been living in Harrison past 18 years, have family in Kearny. Drove by the actual filming on a couple occasions.

The Sopranos is my number one favorite TV show of all time. Only next to Breaking bad & Lost. Also, True Romance is the most underrated movie of all time.
Pretty cool that the interior shots of the Soprano house after the pilot episode were all filmed on a recreated to scale soundstage in New York. Same thing with the back room of the Bada Bing which actually wasn’t in the real strip club but shot on a soundstage. Michael Imperioli has said that was his favourite place to hang out and kill time between shooting scenes.
