- In this video you will see the locations at the Asbury Park Boardwalk used for the dreamscape while Tony was sick; from the Convention Hall to the former spot of the Palace Amusements building. This area was seen in the Season 2 finale "Funhouse" and again in Season 3 "To Save Us All from Satan's Power"... The most unusual part of his experience was when he was talking to Big Pus, who appeared as a fish on a stand. However his suspicions came to fruition.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I grew up in Ocean Grove and used to go to the indoor amusement park and ride the rides when I could scrape together a few dollars. I need to get back and visit before they tear that building down.

Nice video remembrance of the Sopranos dreamscape episode on the at the Asbury Park Boardwalk. I have a correction to the video. Danny DeVito actually is not from Neptune but is from Asbury Park and went to Asbury Park High School. He worked for a while at his Mom's Beauty Salon in the city. Jack Nicholson is from Neptune. He used to work as a life guard on the beach in Neptune and as an usher at the old Beach Cinema in Bradley Beach. His Mom moved to Manasquan so Jack could attend Manasquan High School instead of Neptune High School.
Glad you enjoyed the video.. According to IMDB and several other sources, Danny Devito was in fact born in Neptune, NJ.. I believe he grew up in Asbury Park.
Nick, I stand corrected. Danny was actually born in Raleigh Fitkin-Paul Morgan Memorial Hospital in Neptune Township and was raised in Asbury Park. Thank you for pointing that out for me. @@NickP

Oh for sure! I’ve been to the house, Holsteins (finale location) and the location where they filmed the pine barrens. If you haven’t seen them and interested, they are in my filming locations playlist. I’ll be adding more in the future.
I’ve also been to the Bada Bing but need to revisit for a video.

The wonder bar Tilly isn't the original. The original Tilly is stored at the sewage treatment plant in a shed just beyond the convention hall. Still being stored due to some government red tape BS.
The wonder bar version came about because Corvette was going to do an ad outside of Palace but when they got there, it had already been demolished. So wonder bar stepped up and said, use our building. So the ad agency hired artists to paint two faces on the sides of their buildings monolith as well as paint the sea foam green color.
Deniro and Franco also filmed city by the sea here. A fake portrayal of a real murder.
