Great video!!! Thanks for sharing. It actually helped me to put him back together after I removed the spring. One of the wires came loose and your tutorial showed me where to solder it back. Those are some super delicate connections. Ouch. Kudos on another great video.
that looks pretty involved. It reminds me of when I would take my toys apart as a kid. they rarely worked quite the same again. Thanks for the video Sony. Hopefully I will not be displaying this figure in bot mode in the future. Hopefully he will proudly be perched atop the rest of his body.
did this fixed it perfect there was only one tiny issue. the way they had the spring put on the peg i had to wreck it to get it off but no big deal i was taking it out anyway.
I just put a different spring in it. It was rather simple to figure out give that it already had some visible screws so it was just a matter of finding more screws that was holding things in place. Damaging the wire isn't too much of a problem as it's just a simple LED wiring job.
So good! Thanks heaps man, I always watch ur vids as they’re such a good guide with transformations and fixes! My Dracula and Lupis are the same with the heads popping off, should do a spring removal for them also! 🤙🏻
I dont have this figure but wouldnt try this in the world no way does this guy transform in to the computer guess you can do the head but does he had that mode?
@@TMReviews Usually when a spring is too 'strong', it could be that (1) the spring is too stiff, or (2) the spring is still in compression even without the head on. I'm thinking maybe clipping off 1 or 2 loops of the spring could solve the issue, yet maintain the gimmick
Dude, that is an awesome tutorial guide. Congratulations on the success of making that work and contributing to the TF/3P/FT community.
Thanks man
You’re a mad man, the lengths you go is never lost on me 😂still remember you breaking arcees chest for the upgrade
Lol
And now I know what I'll be doing when mine turns up, awesome stuff, thanks man.

Thanks. I had a bit of trouble getting the waist panel off but your guide helped.
Glad I could help
I don’t have this figure but a little robot surgery is always welcome viewing.
Thanks for posting
Thanks for watching
Great Mod. I like that can change the figure back if choose to later on. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thanks for watching
Awesome! I joined *again* after seeing this video. Thanks for caring!
Thanks for joining! You just missed the member giveaway but I will do more in the future
That is good news! Thanks for showing this as an option!
Thanks for watching
Great vid TMR!!! They probably needed a spring with less tension.
Agreed

Do you think if you cut some length off the spring or got a shorter spring woul that work??
Possibly

Those two actually don't have a spring mechanism
@@TMReviews ah right! Well there you go ay?! Must just be a loose connection. Thanks for the heads up man 🤙🏻
No worries
This is pretty Awsome.. To Sacrafice your figure to help others is Very Cool. Keep it up Great vid 🌟🤓
Thanks G, I can actually put it back to normal if I want to so it's not quite a sacrifice, but I appreciate the sentiment
Couldn't you clip some loops off the spring to weaken it and try to maintain the gimmick without projectiling the head?
Sure. But there is no coming back from that option if it doesn't work,.removing it I can always put it back
@@TMReviews Good point, I may try subsituting in various other springs instead, maybe cannibalise a ball point pen.
Ya a looser spring might work
Such a good guide. I might try it with my own human head IRL
Lol
Good stuff. I was wondering if there was a way to get at that spring.
Thanks

Can the other Fanstoys headmasters fit now with the spring removed?
Yes but it won't stay
@@TMReviews I'm sure some 3D print enthusiast will make it happen :)
Wondering if a weaker spring in there would give the best of both worlds?
Possibly

I wonder if someone will create a spring with less tension so you can maintain the gimmick without the annoying pop offs?
That's an option for sure
Ridiculous you have to do this to fix a $250 figure AND lose a play feature.
You don't have to do it, that's why it's an option. I prefer not to have the gimmick
So you’ll take the time to remove the spring, but not a few seconds to remove that QC sticker? 🤦♂️
I never remove the QC stickers
Wait do we actually play with our figures? 🤣
Lol
Such an expensive figure cannot have such a serious quality flaw, besides being such an obvious flaw.
