I am intrigued. Poul Anderson was my Dad's favorite author, and my bridge to science fiction after reading the fantasy 'Three Hearts and Three Lions' before moving to the classic science fiction story of 'Tau Zero.' Just reserved this at my library.

I just recently reread Sword of Shannara and was blown away by how excellent it is. Usually with nostalgia the fond remembrances don't hold up on a reread. I'll have to pick this up just to read the Shannara stories alone, though like you I am not a fan of the short story genre. A continuation on Panimon Creel's (one of my favorite characters too) story seems almost too good to be true.
